by itself i would imagine its not great, but when its tied into a whole ecosystem it works wonderfully. i have these installed on every switch with a ceiling fan that can be controlled by my google home, and in my office i can walk in and a motion sensor will trigger the light. porch and patio is triggered by sunset and turns off at 1am, and when we're away we can activate away mode, and the software will randomly turn on and off lights. not sure how quickly, but hopefully in a sensible pattern to make would-be intruders move on.

I have two of these installed in my home to control my outdoor lights. One for outdoor porch sconces and the other for a receptacle that is currently powering my christmas lights. I can program each switch individually to operate at different times of the day. Set up can be a bit tricky but once you get used to the app it becomes a piece of cake. The only knock on these switches are twofold. One it will not work on a 3 way switch system and two it does not dim lights. Other than that it works very well and if they ever decide to produce higher amperage switches you could use these for more demanding loads.

This switch has all the same functionality as a programmable switch, but with more usefulness. If you are thinking about buying a "dumb" programmable switch, say for your outside lights, buy this one instead. You can program it the same way as a "dumb" programmable switch, but you can also control the lights via your cell phone or Amazon Echo (and other smart home speakers). I wish this was on the market when I bought my "dumb" programmable switches ($35/ea.) because I would have bought the WeMo instead.

I was looking for something like this, since I travel often and lately have not been home much. I read the reviews first, and the videos. Everything looked great, so I bought two, one for my front porch lights and one for my back port lights. This was so easy to install and I have zero electrical skills and not to mention I am a woman. I do recommend of course watching the video first, and number one making sure the power is off. I love how these lights work, overly impressed. Very happy with purchase, and will probably be buying more soon.

The Belkin WeMo Light switch is perfect for my front porch light and it makes life easier. The switch can be programmed to come on at sunrise and shut off at sunset base on your location. Whats really cool is that it gradually changes as the sunrise and sunset changes by day. Another unique feature, is that the Belkin WeMo Light switch is WIFI enabled which allows you to turn the switch on & off with a mobile device. Personally I think the Belkin WeMo Light switch has the everything you need in a light switch and I think everyone should own one.

I've only been using this switch for a month and a half, but so far it works great. The installation and setup was super easy and the initial configuration was fast. Had no problems connecting it to my wireless network and then setting up rules in the app. I haven't used the IFTTT ability yet, but the rules work great. Whether you're using the button in the app or the physical button on the switch the lights instantly turn on/off when pressed. Look forward to trying some other WeMo products. Just wish they'd come out with a dimmer!

This switch was mostly easy to install. It's rather bulky which made fitting all the wires back into the box a challenge but not impossible. The switch has worked well with Alexa. It's very nice being able to control a ceiling fan from bed and to set timers so it shuts off in the night and I don't wake up chilled.

The WeMo light switch is great. It was fairly easy to install and does what it says it will. I like the app and the ability to use dawn / dusk as triggers to turn the lights on and off, unlike the Philips Hue app that does not have that built in for those lights. It also supports IFTTT, which is a bonus. I had to end up doing some additional electrical work to get it installed, since it was replacing a 3-way switch (the instructions said it is not supported, but with the help of a multimeter, I was able to get it to work).

This smart switch resolved my need to avoid swapping out my entire light socket for my front door. It took me 20 minutes to install and configure it with my wireless router. I now have the ability to auto turn on my lights 5 days a week between 5p - 8p. I can also turn on the lights anytime as long as I have internet access. At first the App was a little buggy, but an update came within a week or so and stabilized it. I gotta say Belkin has done a great job with this product. I plan to buy another one for my living room.

I own 11 of theses switches because I have good experiences with them so far. They work well with Amazon Echo and with some home automation systems. You can also get them to work with HomeKit/Siri if you use homebridge. The reason for only giving 4 stars with this rating is because I purchased 2 of these switch from Best Buy and one of the switches died only after a day. Best Buy was great about exchanging it for another switch. The replacement switch is working well so far. Hopefully, the other switches will hold up well because they are expensive.

Life got a whole lot easier with this light switch. I installed the switch in minutes just by following the directions. And after that, it just works like a regular light switch. But.. lets say you're in bed, and you're ready to go to sleep. However your light switch is on the other side of the room and your lazy butt doesn't want to get out to turn it off. So you just pick up your phone and Viola! You just turned it off with the click of your app. I'm telling you, if you're lazy like me, this is miracle wonder..

It was easy to install and the reliability is great. I have been using the switch for a few months now with no problems.

We use with our google home and it works well and having voice commands with google home is a bonus

I love the ease and the flexibility I have with the Belkin Wemo products. I initially only purchased this for the times if I run late and my dogs were home, alone. I didn't want them in the dark... however, as time went by, I have learned to love that this product is so automated that I don't even have to think of it. I love that we can control this from our cells, also!

I have 6. Would buy 10 more. Make sure you have a neutral wire other wise this is an overpriced light switch.

These WeMo light switches are high quality, attractive units that will look great in almost any home and allow you to seamlessly add wireless control functions to existing lights in the home without the need for special wiring and bulbs. Installation is straightforward (just remember that you can only install for lights controlled from just one switch - multi-pole switches cannot be replaced with a WeMo switch). The switch is controlled from a simple app which also allows you to set rules for when lights will go on and off. I find the rules especially useful, and there are some thoughtful triggers such as linking times to a certain number of minutes before or after sundown. My switches have been bullet proof, but some users have reported issues. In general, I think the consistent updates to the software running each switch are continuously improving reliability. That said, I did run into an issue where an upgrade to my wireless router broke the WiFi functions on these switches. Downgrading the router fixed the issue. The potential compatibility issues are the only reason these don'y get a 5/5, but from my limited time with them I can confirm that Belkin is working constantly on improving them. In addition to the app, Belkin has added support for "Internet of Things" control service IFTTT, so the number of triggers are potentially limitless. Not only can switches be triggered by IFTTT events (such as turning on lights when you get close to home), but the switch can also trigger an IFTTT event with a long press. This allows you to do things like have a long press on a single switch turn all the lights on or off. One more big plus - these work seamlessly and really well with Amazon Echo / Alexa systems. I installed this switch for my garage lights and am glad to be switch them on remotely. A few things that I didn't care for include the upgrade the software needs as soon as you install. However, the installation and setup are super easy. Another issue I have is that the switch sometimes is not visible in the app when using Wifi. However, use cellular network, and I have access to the switch. Overall, it is a decent purchase and a step forward to home automation.

Product works great and set up and install were straight forward. It does help if you’re familiar with wiring but if not, everything is color coded and labeled very well with good directions. I put a dimmer and two regular wemo WiFi switches in a triple gang box and it was a tight fit due to the size of these switches. They are bigger than regular switches and regular dimmer switches as well. Set on the app works well and is simple to navigate. Just wish it worked with Harmony remotes but as of now, it doesn’t. You can use it with Alexa and control the Wemo and Harmony hub with your voice but I would like to be able to control it with my remote too. Not just voice or smart phone. Biggest reason to choose this setup over Phillips Hue was the ability to still use the switches manually like normal switches. They work great.

First I thought controlling lights with a phone was fantabular! and then I mixed with Alexa. YES! needles to say nearly every switch in the house is a wemo now. Set up a group called "the house" in Alexa with all wemo devices, and when you go to bed say, Alexa, turn off the house. and any light or device that you might have forgotten to turn off, goes off. Yes... I LOVE my WeMos!
