Very problematic. Works with HomeKit sometimes with a bridge. Buy the lutron caster, you will love them.

I Got this to get a little closer to the talking house of the future and start making the house do things that I wo like to have done automatically. This thing fits the bill nicely,it is pretty easy to hook up in the wall and again I will warn you about that neutral wire everyone has already but I will also add that my house was built in 97 and I had all the wires I needed. Now for the bad, this plug would not even see my 2.5/5G netgear router but fortunately my cable box had one I could turn on and it works. That leads me to the next problem. That Wireless router has always had problems and resets itself and if this happens while the WeMo is turned on,the switch will go into the default which is off waiting for your next command.in my case it is on the front porch light so I don't exactly know when it does it other than a soft click that sounds likes it could have been a normal house noise or the switch.

I don't know much about electrical wiring, but the instructions given were concise and accurate. I was able to get 3 of these units installed in less than 5-8 minutes apiece. Just make sure that you have a neutral wire available. The software setup took another couple of minutes and everything was good to go. Ninety percent of my home lighting is controlled via Control4 Home Automation but I wanted to try these on a couple of circuits that did not have Control4 applied to them. These switches are $50 a piece vs. $200 for installation of a single Control4 switch. While they cannot be accessed and automated via the Control4 system, they provide a nice and inexpensive way to gain a semblance of automation. The circuits I applied these to are infrequently used circuits like the roof plugs for Christmas lighting, secondary garage bay lights and garage door soffit lights. I was able to set schedules for each switch easily. They work!

Installed this wall switch to control our outside flood lights. Easy install and set up. Really cool to be away from home and use the app to turn on the lights when we forget. Also can set on and off times too!

I love my WeMo wall switch, it allows me to be super lazy. I can control my room lights from the comfort of my bed, but more importantly it allows me to control my electrical outlets even when I'm not at home. The installation is fairly simple, the instructions are very clear and Belkin does also have instruction videos online that make it even easier to install. I do recommend, however, having an electrician install the light switch if you are at all uncomfortable with dealing with live electrical currents, or are unsure on how to turn off power to your switches. The app, in all honesty, can be much improved, but it does work well. The nice thing about the Belkin WeMo devices is that they integrate well with IFTTT and various program.

I depend on solar cell to turn on/off my lights at night when I'm away, but that's not dependable. I have to throw them away and replace them with this wemo switches. I have 3 of them now in my home. It's easy to install and setup (15-20 min# ea. Make sure you have at least 2 bars of wifi signal at where the switch is located. The switch looks modern than the flip switch, push it once to turn on and push it again to turn off the light. The app might need some improvement but it works for me so far. I can control my lights from anywhere with internet connection. For some reason you have to reset the switch back to default, just hold Restart and Reset buttons for 5 seconds #located in between switch and faceplate. Very small print and tiny, have to look closely to see the labels). They look great on the wall. I wish the price is much lower.

I never write reviews but I have to write one on this device. I purchased the light switch for outside lights to my home. Install was easy. Had to rearrange my switches and purchase a new faceplate as I have 3 switches. I am not a handyman but this was not difficult As noted, getting everything back into the switch box may take some patience.Once you understand how "rules" work, that is easy too. Great that it adjusts to sunset and sunrise times. Working like a champ. I liked it so much I went out and purchased 4 Wemo switches to control lighting while out of town. Worked very well also. Lights go on when you program them. No more "Aren't our lights supposed to be on?" when you return from vacation late at night. In fact, I am finding we are still using them even though we are home from vacation to turn certain lights on at sunset. I also like the idea that firmware is updated so as Belkin improves the product, your device's firmware can be upgraded without cost. I am a tech guy and this is one the best tech purchases of the year. Now the only question is durability; how long will it last?

I recently purchased 2 Belkin Wemo Light Switches. The switch works perfectly for one of the intended applications, no so much for the other. The problem is that the second intended location is in a electrical box that contains 2 light switches and serves as a junction box for several outlets in my home. Because the design of the light switch is not the same physical size as an ordinary toggle switch, the Wemo device would not fit into the electrical box. Additionally, since the box was used as a junction to serve several other outlets in my home, the connection was significantly more complicated than the diagram depicted. On the upside, the other application for which I purchased a Wemo switch worked perfectly and installation was simple. I was able to install the switch in only a few minutes and it works perfectly with the rest of my home automation.

Install was easy but there is very little room behind the switch. You really need to organize the wires neatly and push them to the side. I have 3 of these on a 4 gang plate. Setting up was easy, you just need to make sure you have good wifi coverage on your network. Without good wifi signal to the switch, you will have problems. I had to buy a wifi extender. Use is simple and straight forward. I have an iPhone 5 and iPad 2, no problems using the app. People with android might have different results. As always though, when away from your home and controlling the switch, you need either good cell or wifi connection. My only concern is what will happen if I there is a power outage/surge. Will the switch be able to take a small surge after an outage. There have been a lot of reviews claiming the switch totally stops working, I'm wondering if it's due to a surge.

I bought two of these switches. They were easy to install. It only took a few minutes. They are easy to use as well. I can use the app on my phone to turn them on/off, ecen when I'm not home. We also synced them with our Amazon Echo, so we can use a simple voice command to turn either one of them On and Off without having to get up or stop what we're doing.

1. mine gets all 5 stars 2. pretty straightforward install (i have neutral cable and am only slightly handy-dandy) 3. i installed the light switch in my garage so we can turn the lights on only when needed (driving home at night) 4. $47 is pricey, however, it is invaluable in my garage. previously, we would have to leave the light on all day if we anticipated coming home after dark, so money savings there already. also piece of mind to double-check the light from bed. 5. the wifi app interface is simple and straight forward. after 3 days it's been working as advertised. 6. now i'm interested in IFTTT which is way harder than the light switch setup!

I'm loving these light switches. Every room in my home has 2-3 Gang switch connections. I'm a DIY & did a ton of research on how to connect to a 3 Gang light switch. These switches are very convenient as I use them mainly to power lights on & off when I'm away from home.

We had two installed for the lighting in front of our house. We liked them so much, we went and got one for the back deck lights. They all work great and it's really convenient, especially when you leave in the day time and return at night and the lights are on.
