    Good Option for Apple Users

A bit expensive, but having a wifi dimmer saved me from having to buy two switches for the same light. I love the long-press dual function of wimo switches. The best non-hub option i’ve found for Apple Homekit although syncing could be easier. Pretty easy to replace any existing dimmers for somewhat newly wired houses.

I bought 2, so far it is amazing, more feature than all branch out there, work with current non-dimmer switch(you can turn on/off non-dimmer from this dimmer) Software update frequently to me is good. High constructed with easy to install and set up.

The WeMo dimmers were easy to install the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It works seamlessly and the led bulbs we had now do not flicker. Works great with Alexa. Didn't have to open a new account with WEMO it just works.

Pretty good dimmer switch. I bought it on sale for Black Friday. Don’t think it’s worth the full price at $80. Price is too high for a simple light switch.

We purchased this for the front yard light. We use the on at sunset and off at sunrise feature and it works flawlessly. We are now up to six similar devices. WEMO devices are pretty easy to setup and tailor to your needs.

I purchased this dimmer to replace an older timer switch. This was a great addition to my smart home network. The product works like a charm. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 rating was it took several tries to get it connected and also the switch are a little pricey. But overall I am happy with this purchase.

First of all, the installation was extremely easy; it took me less than 10 minutes. The product works very well as with all of the other Wemo products I own. I think I will need two more of these for my home.

I have had 6 of the wemo switches. All easy to install. This dimmer switch is no different. I just wish wemo can figure out the 3 way switch issue. I am not an electrician. But it's just wishful thinking.

This switch is great. I recently replaced the switches and the plugs in my living room and foyer to use the WeMo products. So far they have been working great. This switch has the added feature of a programmable long press function. So if you push the switch button for 2 seconds it performs a task you program through the WeMo app. For example, I have mine programmed so that if I do a long press, all the WeMo plugs power toggle. So this is a quick way for me to turn on/off all my lights at once. Integration into my Amazon Echo is also a key feature. I tell Alexa, "Set living room to 50%" and the lights dim to 50%. I love showing off this feature when I have guest over. They all come away very impressed!

Function-wise, it’s fantastic! Setup was simple, and works great with Apple HomeKit. I wanted one switch to be a smart switch, and one to be normal. The downside is that they don’t line up completely perfectly for a dual wall plate. After some shifting around, I eventually got them to fit, though.

I like these switches and got a good price on the two-pack. Setup was very doable but may have required a little perseverance (it was a while ago), but worked. Might be tricky getting to work with different hubs and smart devices like Alexa, but doable. Mine is working with Samsung SmartThings, Apple HomeKit, and Alexa. Wish they had same device for three-way switches.

I have several other Wemo plugs that I love for home automation. The switch for the lights above my kitchen island is in an awful place, so a dimming switch was the perfect solution. Hardest part was finding the neutral wire (required), but once I had the electrical box figured out it was a breeze. Initially used the Wemo app, but quickly switched to Alexa with ease. Pros: easy to use, looks great, doesn’t require a hub. Cons: Expensive

If you are one of those folks who are big into the smart home thing and are wondering where the smart dimmer switches are, stop wondering. WeMo just rolled out their version. And if you can get through the somewhat rocky installation, it mostly works. And does a few cool tricks. I say mostly works because Amazon’s Echo, which is supposed to work with the dimmer ,only works some of the time. Even after going through the somewhat lengthy and arcane process of linking it with the WeMo switch, it is just as likely to say “Sorry, light is not responding,” as carry out my command with a cheerful “OK” when I tell it to turn the dimmer on or off. Also be aware this is a light switch, not something you just plug and play. You need more than a passing familiarity with electrical wiring to install this thing. Just putting white to white and black to black isn’t going to hack it here. You need to know which of the two black wires that went to your old dimmer is LINE and which one is LOAD. And be sure there is a neutral wire because it wont work without one. . As well as being sure this is replacing a 1-way, not a 3- way switch (you can’t use the dimmer on 3-way circuits). If you understand all that, you are good to go. Installation is not hard. WeMo’s current crop of install videos are of little help here. There were not any yet for the dimmer when I did my install. And if you follow the instructions for the regular light switch, you could get into trouble. It does not matter which black wire goes where in that installation. The good news is the WeMo dimmer works with all types of lighting (regular old light bulbs, LED or CFL) as long as they are dimmable. You can even tune it to the proper type for best results during installation. A color changing LED light bar on the switch (that is off most of the time) helps you determine what the problem is, if there are problems. Problems and modes are color coded. See the instructions. Also be aware you HAVE to install the WeMo app on your smartphone or tablet to set up the dimmer and get it to do all those neat connected tricks. That was not an altogether smooth process for me. The Android app crashed a couple of times and/or just stopped working as I went the process of connecting it to my wi-fi system and doing the setup. Killing the app and starting over fixed the problem each time. And I eventually got it up and running. This product is new so maybe they will work out the bugs in time. Once installed the WeMo dimmer does several useful things. You can set it to come on at any time and any brightness and go off – every day or just some days. You can turn on a “night mode” that limits the brightness (your choice) if you turn it on in the middle of the night. Thereby avoiding the dreaded 1000 watt spotlight syndrome that comes from a going from complete darkness to full brightness when you throw the light switch. You can set it to go on and off at different times when you are away. And there is a timer that allows you to turn it on and then go off in the elapsed time you choose.. Of course, since it is connected via wi-fi. you can control it from anywhere with your smartphone or tablet. Or you can use it like a dumb dimmer switch. Slide your finger along the little row of tiny lights in the center of the switch to set the brightness when you turn it on. One other caveat. This looks best in a single switchbox. The plastic tabs that attach to the wall are thicker than the flat metal tabs on a standard switch. So if you are installing it next to other older switches in in a two- or three-gang switchbox the standard switch faceplate does not sit flush with the wall over the dimmer. This is less of an issue if you install it alone, since it comes with its own faceplate, which fits better.

I love having Wemo switches and dimmers in my home. Even if the internet goes down, we can still push a button to shut off our lights. One thing about this dimmer though is that the touch controls could have been better. It doesn't seem to dim easily when you swipe your finger on the buttons. Asking Google Home to set --% lights works great, so we usually just ask Google to do it. :) That's my only gripe with these switches (and the current lack of Apple HomeKit support).

I’ve had WeMo light switches for several years and love them! But after seeing the possibilities of IFTTT, I knew I wanted a dimmer light switch and Belkin has delievered. This is the best light switch ever! Touch surface for dimming, smart integration with IFTTT for programmable schedules and brightness and the integration with Alexa. What can be better? Worked with my light bulbs without a problem. Better than I would’ve expected.

This is the smart light switch that you didn't know you needed. If you have a large lighting area that you want to have a dimmer control and the added benefit of Google and Alexa voice control, then you need this light switch. Installation was easy and took less than 20 minutes for a novice with a toolbox. Directions that were provided were easy to follow and very helpful. Using the switch is easy that my toddler can use it.
