Works well on wemo apos but not on samsung smart thing

I bought this dimmer to work with Alexa. It was easy to setup with Alexa so the light would turn off manually. It took a while to setup the dimmer so that I could issue verbal command to change the brightness but I finally got it. The WEMO app works perfectly to control the dimmer. Setting the dimmer manually is not so easy. It can be done but the WEMO app is more accurate. Installing the dimmer was relatively straightforward but the red and black wires must be connected correctly. Initially I had reversed these lines but the instructions that came with the dimmer set me straight. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because setting the brightness manually is not as easy as it could be.

Unfortunately I had to return this item. I was really, really looking forward to installing this in my room but once I took my light switch out I discovered my home only has two wires. Since mine was missing both the ground and neutral wire I couldn't set it up.

I upgraded my Wemo light swithch to the Wemo dimmer and could not be any more pleased. It dims my LED lights nicely and I like how the app tells me what the light percentage is. I am glad the dimmer switch notification light does not glow constantly. Also, it easy to dim the light with a touch.

I now have lights on schedule in the evening, No more coming home to dark house. Works like a charm

These dimmers work great with my Alexa. I can set a timer to go on and off at set times by specific days or for all days. I can use the app to turn the lights on or off or dim them, or even better i can ask Alexa to turn the lights on or off or set a dimming percentage.

I own 5 Wemo dimmers. Alexa is a great addition. Easy setup through the Wemo app. Simple wiring.

The dimmer was easy to install and integrate with Alexa. Functions as expected, and looks great.

I tried several dimmers before coming to this. This is handsdown the best when it comes to design. key is simplicity and they have nailed it. There are not too many buttons, just one button and a touch slider, its fantastic and ability to control from google home is icing in the top!

I would have ranks this a 5 except for two things. 1 There is a small plate that extends at the bottom of the switch which is actually a switch that you can push/hold in order to make the switch discoverable on Bluetooth. Unfortunately it gets in the way when you place a wall plate cover on the switch. You can shave down the plate to make it fit but shouldn’t have to do that. 2 I put in two switches sided by side . One controller was for spot lights in the ceiling and the other was for a chandelier. Both switches connected to the Wemo app but only one is recognized by the Amazon Echo. I tried to re-discover etc to no avail.

Just bought 4 of these bad boys, they work like a charm and installation was quick and simple.

I purchased the wemo dimmer to add it to my dining room and join my other wemo products (mini plug and light switch) so that I can continue to upgrade my switches to smart devices, unfortunately nothing went according to plan. The install of the device was a breeze, but it’s the setup where this product failed me miserably. I turned the power on to my switch once it was wired up and then went onto my phone and joined its WiFi network, then I went into the wemo app and tried (keyword is tried) to add it to my other wemo devices. No dice! I rebooted the switch 3x, reset the WiFi on the switch 3x and restored the switch 3x, and no matter what I did it would never join my WiFi. I thought perhaps I had a bad device, so I returned it to Best Buy and got another one, unfortunately with the same results. I reached out to Belkin and they were helpful with offering up suggestions and things to try, none of which worked. After spending about a total of 2.5hrs with both devices, I just called it and uninstalled it and hooked up my old “dumb” dimmer switch, which just works, so I guess that makes it the real “smart” switch. I’m don’t know if there is just an issue with the dimmer switch or what, but I’ve never had to deal with this kind of frustration with my other wemo devices or other smart devices in my house. As of now, if you’re reading this, I hope you get that this item should be a hard pass! Hopefully Belkin comes out with some sort of revised dimmer that makes it easier to join networks, but until that time, look elsewhere for a smart dimmer switch.

Set this up in my kitchen and paired it to alexa. Now, I can control everything with my voice.

As posted elsewhere, Wemo devices do take 2-4 goes at connecting or setting up. And often a firmware update, which is fine. Bought this when it was 50 dollars, the same as the regular Wemo light switch's normal price. Works very well with Alexa. The only potential downside with this and other Wemo's is that once set up, you still have to have internet connection to use them with the app, even when inside the house.

Easy to install and setup, no base station required. It connects directly to your WiFi.

I have 2 of these as well as multiple other switches around the house. Have a smart home is so convenient for us and well worth the money spent. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is that it’s a little weird turning on and off the light manually. It’s not as easy as a “normal switch”.
