I was introduced to west world via the hbo series. Simply amazing show. I believe tho show is what this movie wishes it could have been. With that being said, this movie is perfect for those who haven't seen it and never knew it existed. Not quite as good as the show but pretty solid especially for a 70s flick.

This simply said is a great classic movie now available on Blu-ray. Plot, character development, graphics and price makes this a great gift for any Sci-Fi connoisseur!

I remember watching this movie as a kid and thinking how creepy it was -- very interesting take on the future of robots and how we'll interact with them. What could possibly go wrong, right? Watching it now, it's campy but still very entertaining. And, it's on Blu-ray!

Heard rave reviews about this show so I though I’d give it a whirl. Great cast, high production values but the story line, especially how it time shifts makes you have to think too much about what’s going on. The intro music by the way is the same composer who did Game of Thrones and its awesome.

I've always liked this movie. The extras on the bluray include the pilot to the show beyond westworld that is from 1980. At 47 minutes it's a really cool extra. They also have a trailer and a short making of westworld featurete from around the release of the movie. I wish it included a commentary track.

Westworld may not hold up as well as film adaptations of Michael Crichton's other works, at least visually, but the concept is still interesting and worth exploring (as evidenced by the phenomenal HBO series). The picture and audio quality is decent, and the film is still worth seeing at least once.

This is the movie that inspired the TV series. Yul Brenner aka The Gunslinger hunts down Richard Benjamin in the Fantasy Resort known as Delos. Somethings wrong as the robots start attacking their masters in this great action film.

I have never seen westworld before and started watching the hbo tv series that came out in 2016. So i went back and picked up the original film that inspired the new tv show. For $8.99 i could not pass it up. Fun classic flick, i now want to check out the sequal futureworld and the 80's tv show beyond westworld

I had always liked this movie and wanted to get the first season of the new Westworld but Best Buy never has it..so I got this one. .never realized how old this actually is ..but I like it anyway

I'm not sure which of Michael Crichton's theme parks I would rather go to, WestWorld or Jurassic Park. Do see this original, especially if you're a fan of the series. They are very different, but there's a lot of homage you're missing if you've never seen this movie.,

A bit outdated for today's audience but a classic for it's time. Actually ahead of it's time. Great story about adventurous vacationers seeking the "ultimate" getaway vacation spent living during an historical or even ancient time among robots that look & act exactly like real people.

HBO's new Westworld show looks great and does a lot of interesting things, but you still should go back to the 70's to check out the original film that sets the DNA for what was to come decades later. It's a bizarre, cool film that blu-ray does a nice service to!

I loved this movie when it first came out many years ago and had to have the DVD. It had a great cast and Yul Brynner made the movie memorable. The series based on this movie follows the same script scenario. I would definitely recommend this one.

I remember it being a little better but I was only 8 when it originally came out. Its clear HBO pulled the best parts for this almost cult film for its new smash hit WestWorld. Worth seeing but don't expect the same production values as the newer HBO version.

I had never seen the original movie, but am a big fan of the HBO series. Obviously the acting, special effects, and general presentation are not as strong as HBO, but it's still pretty fun. Encouraged me to pick up the book too and really enjoyed it.

Westworld is a niche market movie probably but I first saw it was I a kid and have always liked it. If you like the modern TV series, you'll probably like this.

A classic, I will admit the reference on Rick and Morty made me buy this movie to see what they were referring to. A warning about mistreating robots from 4 decades ago!

Want to be a cowboy? Imagine a place where you can live out all your fantasies, with robots that is. Now imagine all these robots malfunctioning and shooting at you for real. Great action, sci-fi flick. I recommend this oldie but goodie.

This movie was made in the 1970s. That said don’t expect the best CGI....in fact none. But it’s a great movie nonetheless and gives you some good starting point to how westworld has evolved. If you like ge new Westworld you will appreciate this flick.

The original West World on Blu Ray. A good film transfer, better than DVD or Tape. Plotwise, it is an amusememt park gone wrong. I recommend this to anyone who likes action. Just remember, its from the 70's i believe. Futureworld was the followup.
