Not as good as season 1 but still really good

This season seems to focus less on mystery and more on action. You can tell because they pack most of the plot twists into the final episode which messes with the pacing of the season. I feel it would have worked better if the final episode had its plot spread across the final three episodes. The side characters also feel like a bit of a missed opportunity. Mauve's posse don't have much to do this season. Pacing aside, the various plot threads do a great job developing all of the main characters. The man in black is faces some steep consequences for continuing to pursue his quest for the ultimate game, Dolores has to reckon with the rebellious path she chooses, and Bernard does... stuff. Everyone's acting is top notch and everything else about the production is amazing from the music to the set/environment design. Overall, it's a bit disappointing to see the series take a few steps backward but the show still tells a great, deep story and continues to deliver on most of the raw potential its ideas promise.

Season 2 On Blu - Looks Great, and A Great Show

After an epic shot-in-the-dark season one finale, the park closed down for a year to refine its inhabitants for a new season. And what an intriguing second season it was. Lisa Joy Nolan and Jonathan Nolan (younger brother of acclaimed director, writer, and producer Christopher Nolan) have created a cerebral science-fiction drama based on the novel Westworld by Michael Crichton, and the questions it poses are as thought-provoking as the storylines are intricately woven, like the shroud Penelope wove and unwove every night whilst waiting for her husband to come home from the war. An all-star ensemble cast fills the confines of the theme park, where you can do whatever you desire without consequences. Be Warned, however: This iteration is not for children, as the show is rated TV-MA for graphic violence, blasphemy, strong profanity, graphic female and male nudity, and some strong sexual content. Picture quality on the blu-ray is excellent, as expected. Great audio too.

Westworld Season 1 got it all started. You get to find out what Westworld is, and how it works. We were introduced to all of the characters played by fine actors including Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Ed Harris, and the great Anthony Hopkins. All is not what it seems though and Season 1 ends rather violently . The Hosts as the androids are called revolt. In season 2 we find out why and with fine writing, direction, and acting. The series gives us a glimpse of what could happen if artrificial intelligence ever became self-aware.

This second season of Westworld was very polarizing for many of the show's fans. While I didn't feel the season was as cohesive as the first season, I thought the peaks the second season hit exceeded anything seen in the first season. Sadly, as with the first season on Blu-ray, this collection isn't chock full of special features, e.g. I wish they had included writer and/ or director commentaries for the episodes. However, picture and audio look great on Blu-ray-- miles better than watching on the terrible HBO Now app.

A show that explores the theme of machine vs nature. With interesting characters spread throughout the season that questions whether a machine can truly be more human than actual humans. The show is also a spectacle to own as the second season explores how chaos escapes from a controlled environment. An experience everyone should give a chance at least once.

I had watched this series on HBO when it came out and it was really good. I got a really good deal from Best Buy on the Blu-Ray so I wanted to go ahead and pick it up to own. The series is a little hard to follow at first, but it gets good. I recommend watching it at least a second time to pick up all of the things you missed the first time.

The HD blu ray of the second season of Westworld is a solid purchase. With great contrast between the deep darks and highlights of each scene the format provides a terrific showcase of the shows visual quality. Couple that with the fantastic sound transfer provided by blu ray and you can enjoy one of HBO's best current shows.

If you liked season one of West World season two doesn't disappoint. All your favorite characters are back for more gunslinging fun! And this time we also get some sword fights! Disclaimer: The parts in Japan are spoken in Japanese so you will have long stretches where you read the closed captioning.

Season 2 of Westworld is a beautifully crafted puzzle box. It's not a show you can watch while doing something else, it demands your full attention. Quirky, violent and profane, it delivers a thoughtful message if you stick with it. By then end you think it can't go anywhere else...but then again? Stick thru the final credits for a surprise scene that will have you scratching your head

If you thought season 1 had some cliffhangers....just wait until season 2. It was a joy to watch and left me scratching my head at times wondering what I just watched. The finale is a doozy (in a very good way) and will blow your mind! I can't wait until 2020 when season 3 premieres!

There is a lot going on in this series. A more somber take on the movie original. Graphic violence and cruelty abound. Good acting by a stellar cast of tv and movie favorites. Worth watching several times to pick up the hints on timelines that jump all over.

At first I was skeptical about the whole western theme. BUT BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY, this high quality series will surprise you with each mind gripping episode. Also, An allstar cast including the legendary Anthony Hopkins and other known Actors/Actresses.

Not as good as season one with its plot twist, but still really good. Samurai World is spectacular. Disc set extras provide nice detail, behind the scenes, and cast interviews. Picture and sound quality are top notch for this sci-fi thriller.

I am a big fan of the original film and the sequel. However, this series updates the premise and brings to life some of the most interesting, but brief, aspects of the films. Blu-ray is the only version that does this show justice.

HBO has done for Westworld what the Sci-Fi channel did for Battlestar Galactica. Both have become modern day moral plays with the realization the real stars are the robots, who are often more human than the supposed humans. It is through their eyes we begin to truly understand ourselves, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Season 1 was great and season 2 further builds upon this awesome new world. Some might find season 2 a little too needlessly complicated or jumbled. But it's not supposed to be a simple show. It's intended to be complex. Fantastic all around.

I really enjoyed the first season, but this one blew my mind. If I didn't know better, I'd think this was the end of the show, given how apocalyptic the ending is. But no, it seems these violent delights haven't met their violent ends yet...

The season is slower with plot development than the first but it allows the story and world to breathe and allows for more background stories. Akane no mai, Kiksuya, and The Riddle of the Sphinx are spectacular episodes.

Best Buy had a special 2 for $20.00 price on this and several other TV series. I grabbed both season one and season two for the $20. The special also included Big Bang Theory and many other TV series.
