Although this AC/Heating unit works well, so far, the condition of the unit and the delivery experience was horrible. The shipment was constantly delayed and when it arrived, the box had been damaged and was held together with duct tape. Product arrived just before a major winter storm arrived and we felt we had no choice but to install the product to see if it would function and keep us warm! Upon opening the box, we found damage to several sides of the A/C-Heating unit. Smashed fins on the back, broken spots on plastic covers and many dents with one located on a corner of the encasement. That dent in particular would have taken quite a blow considering the angle is one of the most supported sections from an engineering prospective. I did email Best Buy to notify but cannot find a response in my email. Will continue to look. Have photographs of the damage, etc... This is NOT my first purchase from Best Buy and I have been a loyal customer. Hoping we can work this out fairly. I do pay for product coverage for qualifying purchases but, this past experience makes it difficult to trust arrival of a new undamaged unit. Please note, weather was NOT an issue with the first shipment. Perhaps send a replacement and swap out upon arrival? This is a VERY heavy large cooling/heating unit so I would require assistance removing and reinstalling as I had to arrange that once already. Thinking about purchasing a new refrigerator but a bit nervous about it now.

I have had The ac for 4 months at the time of this review the A/C is very nice and blows cold also puts out a good amount of heat for the winter, the only reason for 4 stars is because me shipping was delayed twice and did not receive the product until 2 1/2 weeks after purchase when the delivery time was supposed to be 3 days, but overall this is a good product.

I was delivered a damaged ac/heat unit that i was not able to return because i did not open the box until after 15 days... unit never powered up!!!! ..and leaking oil..Delivered sep 11, 2025 still waiting on whirlpool service oct 31 2025 totally disappointed!!

Works great! Quickly cools to the house down here in florida. Much quieter than I expected. I had a 8000 BTU in the same window that was much louder. Good Breeze that really circulate the cool air in the 1200 square foot house and feels great. Including the bedrooms in the back of the house. Much better value than a central heat and air or a split unit. Electric bill is a lot cheaper using this window unit instead of having a 2-ton central unit that is about equivalent to the window air. Did not want to spend $10,000 on a new central heat and air. That actually does not do as well is this window unit. Extremely satisfied! Whirlpool is the way to go. I've used their products for 40 years.
