Mixed Experience with this Model
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this model 2 years ago due to Whirlpool/Maytag's good reputation, and because of our limited space. It cools and freezes just fine, except! About a year in, the freezer stopped freezing and the fridge part was too warm. The evaporator coils had giant ice balls all over them. We thawed and cleaned the coils, and an appliance guy scolded us for not keeping the various coils free of dust ( there was a lot!). Since then we've cleaned them except that they are this odd folded triangular shape and no amount of brushing/vacuuming clears them; they are just not accessible. This week, a year later, freezer at 0 degrees, great! Fridge at 50 degrees, and no appliance guys appear to be around. So, this homeowner/DIY guy tore it apart, again. Found that the evaporator motor is fried. The damper stays open, but the fan won't go. I benched it with 110 volts and the motor is dead. Have ordered a new motor and we hope that will be it. It is a bit noisy, also. The damper makes a loud clicking sound when it opens and closes. It makes frequent rapid clicking sounds. All of which now have us biting our nails. Based on the pretty good review, we think we just got a lemon. If it breaks again in another year, I'd say we're pretty much done with Whirlpool!

Great Fridge for Limited Space
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We would have loved to buy a double or french door fridge, but we are stuck with limited space, so we upgraded our old white top freezer to this stainless steel bottom freezer fridge. I like that the freezer is on the bottom. It has plenty of space in the fridge. You can't take the drawers in the freezer all the way out because of the door, but it opens far enough to put everything in and take everything out. Stainless steel shows lots of fingerprints, so bought special cleaning spray for that.

Good for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price for a bottom freezer unit that can fit in small spaces. The refrigerator storage seems a little smaller than expected but the shelves are adjustable and well-lit. The freezer drawer does not pull out very far but the capacity is ok. Overall, it's a decent unit but runs a little louder than expected for a new refrigerator.

going on a year so efficient
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even at level 3/7 it keeps my milk cold. The freezer is small but I don't buy frozen foods, except ice cream ice bags, freeze natural juices, fruits and veggies. The top is so spacious I feel I'm running out of market when I start to see it empty. Haha if I could post a pic I would. So silent.

Perfect Size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had all kinds of trouble finding a stainless steel refrigerator under 70" tall, particularly one with the freezer underneath. This is exactly what we were looking for. It's solidly built, very quiet, and both compartments are extremely well lit. At Best Buy's price and free shipping it's excellent value.

Defective, Awful Whirlpool support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Eleven months old, rock-solid ice cream and warm milk. Forty minutes on hold to talk with someone at Whirlpool. Waiting days for repair tech. I will never buy whirlpool again.
