WIthin a couple of years, door and hinge started failing. internal parts broke and were replaced early-on using warranty. Cooling always worked and was reliable in that respect.

There is just not enough space inside the refrigerator portion, for us.

Overall, this is a pretty good refrigerator for the price. It does fit in tight spaces, since it is only 30 inches wide. We have had it for about a month now, and are pleased for the most part. Keeps food at the right temperature and runs quietly and efficiently. Our biggest complaint is that there is no way to open the left side door without the right side door also popping open also due to the fold-up mosture seal design. So you have to shut the left side door first and then close the right door back every time you open the left side door! Why have side-by-side doors if they can't be opened separately? Come on Whirlpool, you can do better than this!

I have only had it for a week, but I really like it. The refrigerator part seems very good, size wise. It has nice shelves and alot of storage drawers. There is alot of storage space in the doors. You have to get used to closing the left door first and then the right to get it to closed. I am so happy I got this style to fit in my small space. It is like 29.5 to 30" wide. It is the country design with two doors on top and pull out freezer on the bottom.

This is a cute fridge. That is about all I can say about it because I have a compact space in which it fits. About two months ago it started collecting water in the bottom of the freezer and leaking out onto the floor. I have been able to keep up with the ice by chipping at it every few weeks and removing it before it melts. This is some sort of a drain pan issue according to youtube/ blogs. I do not have a Geek Squad plan, so I am now stuck calling a repair guy on my fridge that has been in my house for 36 months.

Within first year, plastic pieces separating bins broke. Within second year, algae in waterline (replacement line was over 100 bucks from Whirlpool, and the walls of waterline thicker than what is commonly available so I was unable to cut and connect a new section using hardware store parts), door seals ripped. 5 years after purchase, door hinge disintegrated. Luckily, paid for geek squad service and they are replacing unit because repair cost above their threshold. Replacing with a Samsung or LG...consumer reports disagrees with ratings here, stating Whirlpool on average is more reliable...ratings favor the new kids on the block.

I did monthly maintenance and still the fan failed after 3.5 years. This caused the compressor to overwork, which meant the water line to ice maker froze (causing a leak), and then overworked the compressor so much that the repair guy recommended getting a whole new fridge because the compressor was likely to fail at any time. I expected better quality from Whirlpool.
