I didn't review this product first

I made a mistake buying this washer/dryer without looking at it first. I just told the seller that I need a stacked unit to replace the one I had. I haven't been able to use it yet because it comes with a manufactured gas line attached that doesn't fit my current standard valve. The dials are at the top of the machine and are hard to reach. I am 5'5" and get a neck ache just looking at them. Once it's hooked up I hope it's good.

It's a ok unit. I had the same model bit I got mine in 1999 and the thing lasted me 17 years. This is the same model and it isn't half as solid as the last one was. In fact 6 days into having it it wouldn't since so the clothes were soaking wet after rinsing. Thank God I had geek squad and they told me it sounded like the drainage pump was shot. They're coming next week to fix it. It's kinda noisey...i probably wouldn't buy it again.

The unit is the perfect size for the condo - rental use . The one draw back is the water level sensor even at the deep water setting it never seems like enough

Can't put much in the washer, like 5/6 prices. Maybe put in the top & bottom king sheet, no pillow cases. Is not an energy saver. Does get what few peices in clean. The dryer is fantastic, dries fast & a lot more than peices than the washer!

    Apt living made easier

I live in an apartment with a washer/dryer jook-up, but had been bringing my laundry to a laundromat for over a year. While in Best Buy looking for something else (which I don't remember) I saw this and immediately bought it (largest impulse buy I ever made). And boy am I glad I did. It is so much easier doing laundry when you need to rather tham when you can get to the laundromat to do it. This machine is bigger on the inside than it appears. I thought I would need to split loads in 2, but it holds a lot more that you would think. Glad I bought it.

I purchased an open box item that was damaged and I am still waiting to hear back from customer care that supposedly quality inspected this machine...

New washer dryer combo-- No water level setting-- Runs on no water-- can wash 2 pair of jeans.. I leveled the machine-Perfectly.. Sounds like a locomotive in the basement.. If it had not been New I would have thought it broken!!! I'm bringing it back to the store-- Free delivery-- not free return..... Also It was put together by a monkey.. Top is bent and screws are in sideways -- cut my hand on the top of the machine-- Whirlpool will soon be out of business if this is there example of craftsmanship..

Horrible Experience with Best Buy / Pacific Sales

Please read my yelp review of my horrible experience: http://www.yelp.com/biz/pacific-sales-kitchen-and-home-west-hollywood?hrid=PyWLGk0J8aOw9CLxDQ_gYA&utm_campaign=www_review_share_popup&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=(direct) Purchase date 4.21.2016. As of today 6.20.2016 after endless calls and emails, I DO NOT have a working washer/dry. On Thursday the repair person that came out and stated the wrong parts were ordered and it would take 5 business days for the parts to arrive. The week before Jessie the store manager asked me to pay $350.00 more to exchange the stackable washer/ dryer. Email sent to [email protected] Mon, Jun 6, 2016 at 6:20 PM.Would you please be so kind to assist me with the horrible service experience at your West Hollywood Store? I purchase a stackable washer dryer from Jessie the store manager on 4.21.2016, this unit stayed at your store and was delivered about a month after purchase to an apartment building I own located at XXXX North Hayworth Avenue West Hollywood, CA 90046. (See attached invoice) A few days after delivery when I tried to install unit I found the bottom self-leveling legs were broken. Since then I have spent at least 50 hours in the last month trying to get the washer/dryer fixed. First, I was provided the number for whirlpool by Jessie that I called endlessly who does not answer or return his calls, days later when I had an appointment the first repair person who I went to meet told me he had the wrong address and was not coming. The second person I went to meet at my building called me as I was waiting for his arrival, I explained the issues and he claimed BEST BUY LIES all the time and this is not a covered item and if he walks in I need to pay him $300.00 . Please note I do not live at this building and I drive from the other side of town to meet the repair persons. On 5.27. 2016 after endless calls to the Best Buy store I called 800 540 7227 and spoke with Tammy R. who was my first very nice experience and did her best to help and was able to get someone from the geek squad to come up and fix the washer/dryer. George the repair person who was very nice came and tried his best to fix the unit. After three hours we both gave up and he told me it needed parts. I am now being told the parts are not in stock and will not be in stock for over two weeks or more. When I bought this unit from Jessie the store manager I was told this was in good working order and came with a full warranty. Over a month later and endless phone calls and endless disconnections I don't have a working washer/dryer in my unit for the tenant. Jessie will not take the unit back and return the fee I paid for delivery through the store. When I requested I speak to the district manager he refused to provide any further information and was quite rude. The story is much longer than this email however, I don't what you to waste your time reading endless issues and uncalled for rudeness and incompetence that I have dealt with regarding buying what I was told was a washer / dryer in good working condition.

    Agreed, This Thing is Junk

For an energy efficient machine, it doesn't take very many items, so I end up having to do twice as many loads. That seems to contradict the idea of energy efficiency. If you fill it all the up then things will come out dry too. It's also extremely loud. I hate this thing.

We understand your frustration and are sorry you are unhappy with the design of the washer. The Department of Energy standards state how much water any water-based appliances can use, and our washers meet all of their stringent guidelines. We would recommend balling up the clothing similar to the size of a soccer ball, and place around the agitator one at a time. We recommend next stack it up so it is around the sides, and the agitator plate is visible with all of the clothing around it. Do not fill up past the 2nd to last row of holes in the basket to help avoid overloading. The bulky cycle will allow more water to enter the tub, but will not spin on the highest spin setting. We are truly sorry that you are unhappy with the design, and can note your concerns. WhirlpoolBrand

Water won't even cover clothes, impossible to wash

This "water-saving" feature makes it unusable. The water level won't even cover a small load of clothes. After washing the same load three times, we couldn't get the laundry soap to rinse out. We called support and they said "use less soap". We didn't use that much to start. So between no soap, and water that won't cover clothes, how is this even a washing machine? Since I still had a load of clothes with dry soap that wouldn't rinse out, I took a pitcher of water, filled and emptied it into the washing machine (three times) to cover the clothes. It finally worked. Having to make three trips back and forth to fill the machine with water using a pitcher is far from ideal. I suppose its better than going to the laundromat.
