It's a great refrigerator but there are a few things I realized later about it. First, the freezer doesn't have a light. That's probably not a big deal to anyone, but i was used to having one. Second, it's a little louder than my old one, but I've gotten used to it. That's not really a big deal. It's still pretty quiet, but I'm just comparing it to my old one. Lastly, the lighting in the refrigerator part isn't as bright as i was used to. it's LED so that's probably why. Again, not a big deal. I would recommend this refrigerator if you're looking for this type. It's got plenty of space and works well.

really like the size and the model of refrigerator freezer it is. It's really nice spacious and works very well. Some of the components are plastic, which makes me wonder about the price.

This refrigerator works great! It’s quiet and you can easily clean the glass shelves. The top freezer has lots of room. The bottom vegetable trays keep groceries fresh longer.

My lord some of these reviews had me worried. It is quiet. It is spacious. The doors seal properly and tight enough. The delivery went smooth. Its the exact same size inside and out as the Kenmore Coldspot 106.70232900 that it replaced. Im not to sure of the humidifier drawers. We dont use them anyway for that purpose but i cant see how they would be efficient with those gaps between the shelf and drawer. The only thing i can warn you about is the fingerprints. I cant seem to get the fingerprints to go away. My wife will load this thing with magnets anyway so it doesnt really bother me.

I selected this model after reading reviews on several models online and visiting two local stores. Needed something this size to fit my built-in kitchen cabinets. Dimensions were true to spec and the fit was near perfect. It's a standard model with no bells and whistles, which is how I like it so there are less things to break over the years. Nice LED light has a blue tint and is sort of molded into the top/back which frees up room on the top shelf to place taller items like milk. Compressor makes a slight hum that sounds like the air pump on my fish tanks. It's not whisper quiet, but perfectly acceptable to me and a little quieter than my old model. Overall we are pleased.

When our 19 year old refrigerator could no longer keep ice cream solid I decided that it was time to shop for a replacement. This refrigerator suited our needs for a decent price. The only thing this one is missing is a lighted freezer but in all other respects this one is very good. Fairly quiet operation, although you may notice that the compressor motor makes a higher pitched sound than an older refrigerator. I like that this one has a smoother surface than the pebbly surface of our old one - it will be much easier to keep clean. We've had it for a couple of months now and I am happy with its operation. I'd recommend this to anyone who needs just a basic refrigerator that will keep things cold without a lot of "bells and whistles".

The fridge that came with my house was old, the seal gasket had already been replaced once, the motor was noisy, stuff smelled, it was just time. I was just going to the computer shop at the mall, and by pure impulse, I walked over to best buy when I was done. Didn't have to wait too long to talk to a associate. I said I just wanted a basic fridge, bigger and quieter than what I had. He recommended a couple of models, I picked this one. Size is more than enough for 2 adults and 3plus teens. Came up to temp in a quick 4 hours ( manual said give it 24, but I didn't need it) it's quiet, clean , cold, so far it seems to be perfect.

We bought a fancy Samsung French door refrigerator from Best Buy 10 years ago. It started having huge temperature swings, but it was also very heavy (almost 400 pounds). It was a chore pulling it out from the wall for cleaning. We traded it in for this Whirlpool, and so far it's been great. It gets really cold on the default setting, and it's very light to move. We went from a 29sq. ft. to 20sq. ft.,and it really isn't much of a difference. We particularly like how you can adjust the door storage bins, and we love the price.

Whirlpool - 20.5 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator review 10/31/2022
The Refrigerator was delivered right on time by Geek Squad Men, unloading went very well packaging removed there was no sign of any damage.
Old refrigerator was removed from home and new Refrigerator brought in Geek Squad Men were very careful with doorway clearances as to not cause any damages.
Geek Squad Men installed all door handle’s also all small items as covers and fittings, both doors fit correctly and seals sealed tightly also both doors opened and closed correctly with no binding all food bins fit correctly and opened correctly.
Refrigerator was plugged in and compressor started Geek Squad Men set Temperature Per. Manual recommended setting and this turned out to work well.
After around 15 hours freezer was at –7F main storage 37F refrigerator operation was very quiet with no vibration.
The only item I feel would make it better is if they would put a light in the freeze as my old refrigerator had.
This Whirlpool refrigerator is perfect for my needs and the Geek Squad Men did a great job getting it setup.

I've been using the Whirlpool Top-Freezer Refrigerator for several months now, and overall, it’s a solid, no-frills appliance that delivers reliable performance for its price point.
Pros:
Efficient Layout: The top-freezer design is classic and intuitive. The main fridge compartment offers ample shelving and door storage, and the freezer section is spacious enough for daily frozen goods.
Quiet Operation: This model runs surprisingly quietly—ideal for open-plan kitchens or apartments.
Energy Efficiency: It's ENERGY STAR® certified, which helps keep electricity bills manageable.
Build Quality: The doors feel sturdy, the shelves are easy to adjust, and the finish (especially stainless steel) looks sleek and modern.
Cons:
No Advanced Features: Don’t expect water dispensers, ice makers, or smart features. It’s a basic fridge meant to do a simple job well.
Freezer Temperature Fluctuations: Some users may notice occasional inconsistency in freezer temperature, especially if it's heavily packed.
Lighting Could Be Better: The fridge compartment could use more lighting, especially in the lower shelves.
Final Verdict:
If you're looking for a dependable, budget-friendly refrigerator without the bells and whistles, the Whirlpool Top-Freezer is a great option. It’s well-suited for small families, apartments, or as a secondary fridge.

I was a little hesitant buying this refigerator because of the low price and a few negative reviews but this turned out to be an excellent refrigerator for the price and I could not be happier with it. It is very roomy, holds many large drink and milk bottles, works beautifully, and is surprisingly quiet. (Some reviews had complained of noise level but I hardly notice that it is running.) I did not touch factory setting of temperature control and it seems to be just perfect. Ice freezes quickly in the freezer compartment (I purposely ordered without ice maker because have not liked ones I have had in the past}. Refrigerator compartment stays very cold without any condensation or iceing. The one thing I can think of that would have been nice is slide out shelves. It is not that hard to get to everything though and not having slide out framework on shelves means you actually have more shelf space. I believe this refrigerator holds more than my old 25 cubic foot Kenmore side-by-side. Delivery went without a hitch and was on-time. Crew was very careful removing old refrigerator and bringing in new one and setting in place.

Bought after intensive review of refrigerator ratings in Consumer Reports & on internet and many visits to stores to examine & measure models. --- Have had for 4 months. Very good refrigerator. Solid construction. Glass shelves (not plastic). I did not want a unit with huge door shelves intended to hold gallon size milk jugs which take away from interior shelves depth & this model has nicely sized door shelves w/o gallon storage. Took some experimenting, but good temperature control maintaining 33-37 degrees in refrigerator and 0 to -5 deg in freezer.
DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT.
-- However, did not give it 5-stars for following reasons: 1. temperature control dial is at front of of frog on a bulky housing that contains frig light & protrudes down from roof of frig compartment , partially obstructing top shelf space. The temp dial does not have click stops and brushing against it as you reach into frog can change temp setting. 2. Because of design and location of compressor & other components, the depth of bottom of frog compartment is shallower than higher up, & as result the chiller bins are severely restricted in depth to rear & don't hold a lot of meat, produce & fruit, etc. 3. Good refrig door shelves, as noted above, but only three adjustable shelves provided even though there is space for four. 4. The large freezer compartment provides lots of volume, but has only one non-adjustable shelf (wire, not glass). It ought to have two freezer shelves. I bought it w/o the optional ice maker, which I did not want, but It came without regular ice-cube trays & without special freezer rack for i.e. cube trays & no option to get them. (I had to supply these myself.) Also, no light in freezer compartment.
-- Overtall, a very good model that I recommend, but has the noted (for me) deficiencies, hence the 4-star rating.

This is a bare bones/no frills refrigerator with the freezer on top. Don't ask "does it have a _____?" where the blank contains some feature. It doesn't. Period. It keeps the cold stuff cold and the frozen stuff frozen. I miss my freezer light from the old fridge that lasted 22 years. I can't complain.
The freezer is a rectangular box with a non-adjustable oven rack 2/3 from the inside top ... and that's it. There is no other infrastructure in there. As a result, my 4 pound bag of frozen fruit has room to stand up along with the other frozens that I buy. My 3 pack packets of poultry fit nicely below the rack with other height challenged items. There is actually more room in this freezer than with the old because of the lack of shelf/rack instrastructure. The door has 2 non-adjustable shelves each with a rail so food is not trapped on a shelf and can fall through if really small.
The refrigerator below has 3 adjustable full width shelves. Having said that, the shelves have built in restrictions where they can be positioned. There are "bumps" on the left wall and right wall inside the fridge similar to those inside the oven. Those bumps are 2 inches apart going from top to bottom. There are only about 6 places a shelf can be positioned. Since there is so much room between bump levels, shelf real estate gets invaded on the adjacent level below. As a result, I have had to get creative. Tall gallon bottles don't fit on the top shelf so there is a pitcher in the fridge now which does fit. The bottles lie down on shelf 3 above the dual crispers which I'll get to in a moment. Hanging from shelf 1 is a crisper about 1/3 of a shelf width. It can slide left and right. Shelf 2 is where I put all bags of fresh produce. Shelf 3 is where the bottles and pitchers that don't contain liquid lie down. Below shelf 3 are the dual crispers. They are made of a hard plastic and if I were a betting gal, I'd say that they will crack in X number of years. I doubt they would survive being dropped on the floor so I handle them with care.
The fridge door inside has 2 non-adjustable shelves. The first is up top for butter with the swing down cover to the left and a flip up ledge with a rail to the right. A lightweight something goes on the flip up ledge. At the bottom is a full door width shelf with a rail. In between the top shelf and the bottom shelf are 3 half width adjustable containers that can hold narrow stuff but not my pitchers as they are too thick. If something is too tall on the right, the flip up in shelf 1 provides room.
Magnets stick on all outer sides as I have over 100. Yes, the refrigerator is louder than the old one but it doesn't drown out anything in the house so not a big deal. I'm used to it now.
Repairguy said that he chases codes all day long so get something simple. This refrigerator fits the bill as there really is nothing to go wrong with it. Salesguy said most folks buy this refrigerator for rentals or vacation homes as they need something reliable that keeps cold stuff cold and frozen stuff frozen. Works for me.

Keeps the frozen goods and the food in the frig area is cold. I have had it for over a month. I wanted a top freezer and needed a frig larger than the 18 cubic foot. This is a good fit. The refrigerator is quiet and has been working well since day 1.
Best Buy was the only store I found that would delivery in 2 days.

Overall I am satisfied with this fridge. It is very much like my old 19-year old fridge, so I like the way it's laid out. What I don't like is that there is no light in the freezer. I wasn't aware that it didn't have a light; seems illogical. It seems to be holding the temperatures well. When I close the door to the refrigerator, I have to make sure it is fully closed because it doesn't always close all the way on its own like the freezer door does.

The Whirlpool Refrigerator/Freezer is wider than our older one. Just don't like how the door doesn't close itself. The door swings open when you open it and always hits our stove. Unless I catch it in time. Otherwise, we are happy with our purchase. It was dented on one side, but Best Buy gave us $160 off the price, so we let it go.

We needed to replace our 1999-vintage high-end bottom-freezer Amana which was failing after being repaired once before. Very few refrigerators now available would even fit into the space we have, so we decided on this one which does fit. Best Buy had it available to deliver promptly, so we didn't lose all our frozen food -- including home-grown green chiles. The new unit is not by any means deluxe, just a basic refrigerator that stays cold and uses only about 600 WH/day. It does need the owner to add trays or other interior organizers because it is basically a large empty space. Reasonably quiet and undemanding. Overall we're satisfied.

We bought this fridge about a month ago. So far we have been happy with it. Sometimes the door doesn't close by itself when its full. I would think that you could fill it up to the edge of the shelf, but you can't, pretty close, but not all the way. It is also not what I would call a quiet fridge. It doesn't have any bells and whistles, but it definitely keeps food cold, and is spacious, which was what we were looking for. Overall, we are pretty happy with it.
