I have owned this dishwasher for 3 and half years....it's great with kids! You don't need to worry about food left on dishes. I can toss unfinished bowls of cereal in and know they will come out clean. I don't think you should have to rinse them before loading them and with this unit you really don't have to! It is the first and only dishwasher I have owned that doesn't have to wash them twice, the hardest thing to remove from any meal is cornmeal, be it fried fish or cornbread, this washer gets rid of it in one wash! You can ever so slightly hear the food disposal grinding when the first rinse is done and know they will be spotless! Also will accommodate my tallest 12 quart stock pot! My only complaint is that the upper control panel is some type of plastic that is nearly impossible to clean or keep clean, no amount of scrubbing helps. I was originally concerned about the electronic control panel but it has performed flawlessly.
