A 24 inch oven is restrictive in size but you live with the cabinets you have. This unit appears to have larger ovens than the unit it replaces. I'm not a fan of stainless steel but, on this unit, it is more of an accent. Both ovens are self cleaning, our old unit was self cleaning in the top only. We're very happy with the unit and it looks great in our kitchen.

I had to replace my ancient double wall oven, and needed an oven to fit the existing space in my cabinets.
Not many double ovens were available in the 24 inch size, but this Whirlpool was, and it looks great and cooks well too! Easy to use. I am very pleased with it and have no hesitation in recommending it!

Good replacement for older Maytag 24" with mods

Good replacement for an older Maytag 24" double wall oven - (CWE5800ACB) - this was pretty much the only modestly affordable option we had (unless we wanted to go with the convection version that was KitchenAid branded). Still required some modification to the cabinet (the Whirlpool was slightly wider and taller), but we got this done separately. Performance is great in terms of even heating, and there's slightly more room than the older Maytag. Fans do work for quite some time after turning the oven off, more so than the older Maytag, so that was a surprise. Apart from that, it's been working flawlessly. Haven't tried the self-cleaning feature, but I've been told to generally stay away from it and use elbow grease instead.

In our home we were limited in size. My only choice was Whirlpool, because GE was backordered. I couldn't find any other ovens that would fit the space. The oven is beautiful and has worked perfectly so far.

We bought this to replace an older electric oven from the 90’s. Our older oven was a 1-1/2 wall oven with more of a warmer on the bottom with a only lower burner. After “resizing” my current wall opening too the measurements in the instructions, the new oven fit like a glove. So far my wife likes it a lot. It is very low profile which adds to the more modern look. The control panel is easy to use and even has a timer and an oven timer. The controls are nice and you can customize certain features like turn off beeps when you press buttons etc.
I highly recommend this oven and would definitely buy it again.

This oven was a Major upgrade to my circa 1975, harvest gold (you know the style) original installed when the house was built. I find that it works best when allowed to preheat. Nice, even heat for your baking and broiling needs.

I love it. I replace my 35 year old Whirlpool oven with this one and I am glad I got this oven. Easy to use and the oven space is great. Hope it last for many years like my old one did.

Best value for a 24" Electric Double Oven

If you have a 24-inch wide hole to fill with an electric double oven, this is probably your best bet. There are only three choices at this moment in time - Whirlpool, GE, and KitchenAid. I'd strongly advise staying away from the GE 24" double oven that is still on the market, which is the 15-year-old unit I'm replacing. It looked dated then (straight out of the disco era), and it looks even more archaic now. Reliability was iffy... the self-cleaning feature broke after five years. Recently the buttons on that GE started wearing out, hence we replaced it with the Whirlpool.
This Whirlpool seems larger inside than the GE, which is nice. Really nice. A half sheet pan will fit sideways into the oven. Couldn't do that in the GE.
Only had the Whirlpool for a month, but so far my wife and I love it. Controls are legible and intuitive, and look like they were designed in this century. Stainless Steel cleans easily. Bakes evenly and temp readout has been accurate. No complaints.
Beware, make sure you measure the opening height and clearances for existing cabinet doors and drawers because this oven is about an inch taller than two previous ovens we had. It's slightly deeper too; I had to move the electrical box from the back of the cabinet to the side for proper clearance. It also calls for a shelf to be built for the oven to sit on, so make sure you have that before delivery. Call Whirlpool and ask them to send you the install manual because there is detailed info in there about the dimensions and install requirements that aren't posted on retailer web sites.
I considered the KitchenAid for maybe five seconds, but it seems to be essentially the same as the Whirlpool, which makes sense since KitchenAid is made by Whirlpool. Two differences: an upgraded badge (the "KitchenAid" logo looks way better than "Whirlpool"), and convection capability. Not enough difference to be worth another $1000 to me, so I opted for the Whirlpool. Used dental floss and Goof Off to remove the cheesy-looking chrome-and-gold Whirlpool badge, so now I have a KitchenAid facsimile for a thousand bucks less. :-)

I haven't had it too long, so am still learning to use it. I definitely had to calibrate it as the temp was lower than indicated on the led panel.
It's nice looking and best of all it fit into my space nicely. My previous oven was so narrow I was concerned I couldn't find one to fit. This one was 1/2 too big but we were able to cut down the cabinet a bit. It was also longer but fortunately I had some blank space on both the top and bottom of the cabinet and we made it work.

Ordered after other oven died. Installer did a great job. Had issues with rattling sounds from the the oven. It also had trouble heating to desired temperature. Called Best Buy and requested an exchange. They took care of everything and had another installed in a week. Same installer, same great job. VERY impressed with Best Buy’s customer service. The new oven works well and we enjoy using it.

Replaced an older GE 24 inch double oven with this unit. Short of the convection feature, this double oven probably has everything one needs (timer, self-cleaning, modern design). Be sure to compare exterior dimensions of the new oven to the cutout for the oven to be replaced. This unit was narrower, despite having the same size cooking area, so I had to do some carpentry and drywall work to make the opening smaller. So far, the unit has worked as expected.

We like the exterior look of the stainless steel and the temperature setting when it preheats it show the temperature going up until it reaches set temp ! Although we have not used it it has self cleaning top and bottom our other double just had on top !
Also the broiler has more coils in it ! Out last oven had a u shaped coil which caused uneven browning when broiling !

Overall a good replacement for my 14 y/o version of the same oven. The new controls are not the most user intuitive. The timer functions especially hard to get used to. the worst problem I have with it is that the timer beeps one tiny short beep at the end of the countdown, and if you're not in the kitchen, you'll miss it!

Only reason I bought this is my last whirlpool was 18 yrs old
And parts were no longer available. It still worked but the digital read out was dim. This was an exact replacement same hole size and all. Just subtle differences. Works great but costs a lot more then my old oven!

Overall it’s a pretty good oven. Not many choices in 24” wide. So this was it. It does take some time to prepare-heat, at least 15 minutes to get to 350. The fan isn’t too noisy but it is defi stele noticeable. I don’t like that you can’t adjust the broiler temp but beggars can’t be choosers. The lighting is outstanding though.
