Nice oven for 24 inch width

But the kitchen cabinets are in great shape and we had no reason to redo them, so we needed a 24-inch wall oven. This one fit the space nicely, only needs 22 inches of depth, so my 25 inch depth area was able to fit the cable nicely behind without cutting into the wall at all. Trim is really easy to install. Oven heats up really fast to 350 (less than 15 minutes), then a bit slower to 450 (additional 10 minutes). The only reason I took away one star is that the cooling fan squeaks a little bit. The regular air circulator during operation does not squeak so this is specific to what happens after you shut the oven off. After a few minutes when the temperature has cooled a little the fan stops squeaking, but the first few minutes after shutting it off can be a little annoying.

Last night I pulled the handle to open the oven & it detached from one side. Perhaps this was an installation issue. Also, the buttons are hard to press and it is not the largest of ovens but I have been able to manage.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Three problems in the first six months: 1) Fan rattles against frame - very annoying. 2) Fan stays on 20-30 minutes after you turn the oven off. If you dine near the oven, plan on having to listen to the sound. I am usually finished eating and the fan is still running. 3) Ran the cleaning cycle for the first time yesterday. Showed five hours remaining, and the whole thing shut down after 45 minutes. The control panel was extremely hot and the whole unit is now dead. Can't open the oven door as it is locked when you start the cleaning cycle. Had setup a login account at Whirlpool and went it to submit a warranty claim. Says you must accept the privacy policy. I click on accept and it throws you back in the "you must accept" loop. I understand this is not a $3,000 oven, but it is poor with basic functionality. Holiday today so Whirlpool is not taking calls. Thank goodness I was not entertaining - no confidence in its reliability.

Terrible insulation and very slow to heat

We are replacing it and writing off the cost as a very bad decision. It takes a long time (25 minutes or more) to heat up and the cooking temperature varies tremendously. Good baking is not possible since things burn on the bottom. If you open the door even a crack the temp falls by over 50 degrees and it takes a LONG time to come back. Avoid this product!
