Water pump died after 2 years of normal use (2-3 times of using per week). Plastic rack on tub beginning to wear and expose rusted metal underneath. Disappointed to be replacing this already 2 years later. It’s not worth the expense of the pump part replacement and service call fee.

Silverware rack very small, difficult to fit silverware and utensils all in one rack. Dish racks are flimsy. Would for sure not buy again would go another route. Washes dishes well, takes a long time to wash them.

I was pleased with this dish washer and its features for its tier. Very essy too install etc. However whirlpool used cheap coating with this model as after 1yr the top tray has peeled and started rusting. I even used the drying feature to prevent water from settling for long periods... VERY DISAPPOINTING! pictures attached.

Looks great. Be sure to purchase a dishwasher install kit that includes power cord and all water line requirements. You can find them for less than $20.

Very light, and perfect size for my kitchen remodel. Very easy to setup. Definitely consider installing yourself.

It's motor broke after 14 months. The installer came out twice. First time it was sticking out and crooked. Second time was straight. Eventually the padding on one side came out. I thought Whirlpool was built to last at least 5 years.

The racks and inside started rusting right after purchasing it. We have now had it for 2 years and just have to deal with the rack prongs breaking off when we put dishes on them.

I bought this as a display, there was water in the lines and it was missing pieces and the stainless steel is oxidized where part of the protective plastic had been removed. Very disappointed.

Be careful when choosing an open box option. This one was supposed to be an excellent condition with no defects and clearly that's not the case

I got this after my old dishwasher died. This was fairly inexpensive and is kind of basic, but that's what I was looking for. For what I paid for it, I think it was worth it. It's bit on smaller side inside, not a whole lot of features, but it works well, does dishes and baby stuff without issues and everything comes out clean. Installation went just fine, did it myself. Nothing unexpected. If I had to nitpick, the bottom cover that goes under the door next to the floor came with some cheap screws that I am not a fan of. That's about it. I've had it for maybe a month, so can't comment on longevity, but as far as performance, it's meeting my expectations.

My wife kept asking for one so finally I did my homework and researched to find the best one for the price. It’s very quiet which is something we wanted, since the old one was loud. It’s easy to use, dishes come out very clean (we tested it once without rinsing them and it worked well). Excellent space to fill dishwasher. Only issue is door doesn’t stay down, unless bottom row is filled with dishes.

We've been using this around two months now, and it has been doing an admiral job of keeping our dishes clean. While it's not the quietest unit on the market (I think they rate it at 55db), it's still whisper quiet. We can run a load of dishes in our open floorplan and you can barely hear it from our couch ~6 feet away. In an effort to make this dishwasher more efficient, it uses a series of washes, soaks, and pauses to get the most out of it's energy and water use. It seems to work well, but at the cost of longer cycle times - a normal wash cycle can take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. Not such a concern for us since we typically run the washer when we go to bed or leave for work, but if you're hosting a large group for dinner and need to wash a load in a hurry, this isn't the washer for you. The stainless finish does not have a smudge resistant surface and seems to attract fingerprints and water trails on the front. It will clean easily, but it's not nearly as maintenance free as our range and microwave that do have smudge resistant finishes.

My last dishwasher was a more expensive Samsung model that was the worst dishwasher I have experienced. It took half a day for dishes to cycle, they never got very clean, and it started having one problem after another at about the 4 year mark. The Samsung experience made sure I will never spend a lot of money on another dishwasher. So I checked feedback and did a little research when I saw this Whirlpool with good reviews and a great price. Eventually I purchased one in White. Sitting next to the heavy Samsung, there was a noticeable difference in machines. This Whirlpool was light, has a plastic tub, lighter grade of insulation, less all around covering --fewer body panels to cover the sides and back and therefore, a little more "flimsy" feeling. But, this also made it easier to move and connect the cord and supply line. Installation was typical and I used a new water supply line and the old cord from the Samsung. I was a little concerned as the cavity for the dishwasher was such a tight fit that I had to install it without the insulation wrap and thought this may make it very loud. I was so concerned about this that I had also tried the insulation off the Samsung as it was much more compact and dense than the Whirlpool insulation. In the end I couldn't get it installed with the insulation on it and just left it off. After the first run all of my concerns were alleviated. This inexpensive Whirlpool was quieter without insulation than the expensive Samsung was with insulation! The controls are easy to use, the machine has cleaned all of our dishes without issue in a very reasonable time frame, and it is relatively quiet--quieter than the heavy Samsung with insulation! One thing I had to explain to my wife was that because of the plastic tub and lack of very high heat, the dishes can still be wet when the cycle is done. I found this is common with plastic tub dishwashers (and even at least one over priced stainless steel tub Samsung dishwasher!) so I accept this small thing as a fact of life--as long as the dishes are clean I don't care. I have only been using this machine for about three weeks and I love it. The only thing I have noticed is at night when I go to bed with it running, the machine will open and close the water supply and it does it so abruptly that you can hear it through the water lines in the house. I have very good water pressure and attribute this to my house and not the machine. I am going to see if there is some sort of inline damper I can use to mitigate this--but it is not a big deal, just something I noticed when trying to sleep at night after starting the dishwasher. After 3 weeks I can say I would recommend this machine and I would buy it again.

This dishwasher is a good buy and works reasonably well, but is definitely not a high end unit. It doesn't clean baked on food all that well from pots and pans, and the silverware tray mounted in the door is inconvenient. It is very quiet and has been totally reliable for the 20 or so loads that I've put through it so far. It was definitely worth the $670 I paid, which included delivery, installation, and removal of the old dishwasher. I have no buyer's remorse about this dishwasher. All in all it was a good deal for a non-high end unit. Also, it's made in the USA.
