This is a very good fridge. its is much bigger than our old one and the layout makes it quite roomy for a side by side. It is a bit of a giant though... we were lucky enough to barely squeeze this behemoth into our kitchen in the apartment. The motor is a bit loud when the fridge is trying to regulate the temperature inside also, not so loud that its annoying, but noticeable when things are silent in the apartment.

I purchased this Fridge as a replacement of another brand purchased at Best Buy one year prior. I could not be happier with this item. It has a good amount of space for being a side-by-side and I love the solid black with texture on the sides and doors.(It shows less dust than the smooth black painted) The cost is moderate on sale it was $999 but the value in getting a Whirlpool for that price was worth it for me. I also purchased the Best Buy warranty which was great value for the money. I encourage everyone to look at this item if you want a true side-by-side.

This was the best value for a refridgerator that I found. The only problem I have with it is there is no cheese or deli meats drawer. I will be trying to see if I can find one as an additional part. The water filter for this fridge works well and tastes great. I always got bottled water and was afraid the filter would not be the same, but I ended up impressed. The fridge has great storage otherwise and works great!

Only had this a month or so, but seems to be what we need, so to rate it good across the board is a fair assessment at this time. Nice looking. It does not have a deli drawer, but we don't buy that junk stuff anyway. Nice size for two people. It's supposed to be super energy efficient, and that was a huge selling point for us. We are not disappointed with our purchase.

I put lot's of thought into this purchase and have no regrets. I picked it up at Best Buy and my wife and I moved and installed it easily. All features work perfectly,price was excellent,and we are thrilled. It got cold and produced it's first batch of ice in less than 5 hours. It's quiet and predictable! Tip: remember to buy the appropriate ice-maker installation kit.

WARNING..... This fridge never fully cooled, even after raising the temperature control to the maximum setting of 5-coldest. Then both the fridge & freezer completely stopped working in just 2 days!!! Also, the ice dispenser is soooo annoyingly loud, there's no meat drawer, and the non-crisping drawers are CHEAP. This product doesn't even deserve a rating of 1. Not to mention you can never get in contact with their NEW deliverer through the callback number they give you as well as the many phone numbers I received from Best Buy and JB Hunt (the old deliverer). So forget the "time window for delivery"...they will just show up when they show up. There is MUCH more to say but I've already wasted two weeks of my time dealing with this HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!!

This is such a great fridge. And it has so much space and its very quiet.

This is not a digital machine thus the quality is not as great. But it is a good machine. I do not like that the light does not come on & off automatically when dispensing ice or water. It is also very noisy when the water runs to make the ice, when it drops the ice, & also when dispensing ice or water from the refrigerator.

I purchased on 8/31 and was delivered on 9/7. Love the ice/water on the door the light is a plus too. Made ice within a few hours and is still going strong. There is plenty of room in this fridge and freezer side for lots of stuff. Very quite too, on ocassion i will here the ice dropping in the ice bin. I'm very happy with my purchase

You cant beat this one for the price! Quiet running, nice shelving you can adjust to suit your needs, textured surface and water and ice on the door! Just as nice as many of the more expensive models!

Nice Refrigerator for the price with plenty of storage. The only thing I don't like is that at times it's hard to open doors.

We purchased this refrigerator for less than $700. As stated earlier, there are no bells and whistles but it meets all of our needs. We have had this refrigerator for a month. It is very quite, the ice and water in the door work so much better than my old frig. I can't think of anything to complain about.

Great fridge..no problems at all....love it...this fridge replaced my useless bottom freezer style fridge. Word of advise....never buy bottom freezer refrigerators,they are nothing less than junk.

It is very quiet operating. Also seems to hold temp very well meaning good insulation. It took a little while for water to run thru to outside dispenser but that is only due to 1st time use. There is a holding tank inside the fridge which helps ensure cold water everytime. Only time I heard ice maker was the first couple of runs when it dumped cause bin was empty but that is to be expected. Seems to make ice fairly quick too. The only irritation is the metal trays in the freezer which can slide out sometimes, but that always happens on every model I have seen. Just a matter of setting the trays right. Overall I think it is a very good product especially for the price!

Ice gets trapped in the dispenser. The ice then melts, fills overflow tray and runs down the front of the fridge onto the floor. The ice dispenser is loud. The water is not cooled so it comes out at room temperature. The crisper drawers stick making it hard to open and close them. The smooth front is not practical especially with water stains.

This is my first switch to this type of unit. While it is too early to tell, so far this unit is working as expected. Considering this is what my wife wanted, it has thus far worked as expected. My previous refridgerator lasted for 27YEARS, let's see how long this one will last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got it on sale for a great price... energy saver..great frige so far. I've had it for about a month.

I don't know if my refrigerator was defective but I sent it back due to the noise it would make. I am not picky or overly sensitive, just for the record. When the compressor runs the fridge makes a high pitched ringing noise that is quite annoying and can be heard for long distances through your house. I had a whirlpool repairman come and look at it and he said it was normal. Apparently the new energysaver refrigerators have high efficiency fans which make a high pitched ringing noise when running. That's at least what all the bestbuy people and whirlpool repairman tried to keep telling me. The noise was so annoying that I could not stand it anymore (sounds like an old telephone ringing all the time the motor runs) and I exchanged it for a samsung refrigerator. This samsung refrigerator is so quiet, no high pitched ringing noises and it is energysaver too!!! I did not like this Whirlpool fridge and would not recommend it to anybody.

We had a problem with noise right from the start. We called Geek Squad and it turns out the delivery guys bent the cardboard insulation against the compressor under the unit when they shoved the dolly under it. The repair tech fixed it in 10 mins. Now the unit is "whisper quiet". If your unit gets noisy, check the insulation under the unit.

Waterline broke just after warranty expired. Now at just under four years, entire compressor shorts out. I have had nothing but trouble with Whirpool - refrigerator, washer, and dryer. I will never purchase Whirlpool again. Have not had problems like this with other mfrs and I am disappointed that Whirlpool has bought out Maytag and Hotpoint..
