I was told not to purchase a side by side from many people, I'm glad I turned a deaf ear. This refrigerator is roomy! It's fully stocked with what we need and there's room to spare. The freezer side looked small but when I transferred food from my crammed freezer on our older fridge there was still room for more items. It only took a few hours for this refrigerator to get to it's maintained temperature and the water hook up was easy and fast. It does take 3 to 4 days for the ice reservoir to fill up and the first few times will make you jump if you're not used to the loud bang. After the 5th day, we hardly noticed it. The gentlemen who delivered our fridge were very nice and extremely careful when getting it through the door. They also took our older fridge down to the basement. The price can't be beat & we couldn't be happier. My in-laws are also considering buying this model. Thank you Best Buy!!

I've owned this refrigerator for 2 months and I love it! The water and ice through the door feature is great and the filter makes the water taste excellent. I have owned a previous model of this same refrigerator and I must say, I have noticed how the quality of some of the parts have gone down. The front of the door shelved used to have a thick lip that curled over and was very strong. The door shelves have no lip and if you pull on the front it bends outward. I am afraid to put any strain on them for fear they might crack. Also, there is no meat drawer, which I really miss. The freezer shelves have been improved and no longer fall out of place. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would choose this model again.

Purchased in November 2009. So far so good. Not many bells or whistles but I was not looking to find these features in a fridge priced below $700. Runs quietly and keeps food cold. Some of the drawer handle lip edges were sharp but was easily fixed with some light sanding using fine sand paper. Installation was quick. If it lasts for 8-10 years I believe that it was money well spent.

I bought this refrigerator because the exact same one i bought 13 yrs ago broke. So I decided to get it because the price was so cheap at best buy. I actually pay less than I did 13 yrs ago. I am so happy of the performance of the refrigerator. It is very quite. The only thing that I did not like about it was it took about three days to make the ice enough to fill the bin. Other than that, I am a very happy customer! Would recommend it!

We purchased this refridgerator to replace our 30 year old Whirlpool that had seen better days. This first one we got was damaged but Best Buy let us keep it as a loaner until they could bring out another one. Ours runs like a champ...quiet and has lots of room. We love the water and ice in the door feature. For the price this refridgerator is a great deal. Love the fact that we didn't have to spend thousands to get a refridgerator that looks like we did. And it was on sale too....We would recommend this to anyone who is looking to make a smart purchase like we did!

I shopped around for a while looking for a good deal, and this was it. Every other refrigerator of equal size was around $1000. I love the amount of room, the features (liked crushed ice in the door), and especially the price. I have to be really nitpicky to find bad things to say about it. The only bad things I can mention are: 1. It can be a tiny bit noisier than other refrigerators I have owned. 2. The door shelf in front of the ice maker won't hold much of anything (even the smallest of frozen foods). 3. You have to be mindful of the crisper drawers or they won't close all the way. Everything else about this unit is outstanding.

I've only had it a few days. Temperature in the fresh food area holds very steady at 33 degrees (I'm keeping a thermometer inside for a while). Interior is nicely lighted, with contents backlit. It is not noisy, except for the occasional clunk of ice falling into the bin. Doors open and close well. The bins do feel a bit flimsy, so I will be careful opening and closing. Compared to my old GE Select this one feels more spacious. Overall I consider this fridge to be a great value. If it is reliable I will be extremely pleased with it.

We bought this frig a few weeks ago to replace the dead GE frig which we had for only seven years. The appliance repairman recommended Whirlpool (along with others) and told us to stay away from GE (motherboard/compressor issues). Best Buy delivered the frig, set it up, and hauled off the old frig for a very low price (a lot cheaper than others). After only two hours of running, the frig was cold enough for food. This was after it was sitting in a hot delivery truck in 90+ degree temps. Setting the dials at the recommended points (factory set), the frig is keeping foods cold/frozen at the perfect temp (I checked using an appliance thermometer). Shelves are built a lot sturdier than other refrigerators and these shelves easily slide out for cleaning. The meat and veggie bins weren’t sliding out smoothly at first, but I rubbed a little vegetable oil along the slides and they now work fine. It runs very quiet and the only noise one can hear from our living room is the ice dropping. The delivery guy did make a good recommendation. Make sure you run the water dispenser until ALL air bubbles are out. Otherwise, you might notice a dripping water dispenser after getting a glass of water (some people might complain about this). I think we ran over a gallon of water thru the dispenser before the air pockets were gone. For the price, this refrigerator can’t be beat and we’re very happy with it.

I bought this refrigerator recently after looking at many many other refrigerators. I got this for $639 on sale at Best Buy and it has met all expectations. There is plenty of room to store everything you will ever need or want in your fridge. The water may not be cooled in the door but isn't that what the ice dispenser is for. Overall this is a great refrigerator for the money.

I had this refrigerator for about six months now. Initially I was very happy with this product. It's roomy and the water and ice dispenser is a nice touch. My problem is an odor coming from the back of the refrigerator. The smell of stagnant water. I checked inside and outside for leaks. There were none. After a few days the smell became stronger. I put in a service call to Whirlpool and a technician came to my home. After a check of the refrigerator he said it is water that is sitting in the drain pan. The drain pan is not removable and is fragile. I was told to pour bleach in the pan as to help with the odor. He did warn me that instead of a bad smell my place will smell of bleach. This fix would only last a few days before the odor would come back. Had I known this could possibly happen, I would not have bought this product. The ice maker is on the noisy side this is also a con.

For the money, this refrigerator is great. There is a lot of room, both in the frig part and the freezer part. With free delivery, install and haul-away of the old one, it was hassle-free. It runs very quietly.

the refrig is great for room , keeps food cold, the door kinda has a magnetic close unlike my old one I have a two yr old grandson who likes to play with the doors on the refrig with this new one he has a much harder time opening them and it has a ice and water lock in which he cant get his own water from it yet I wish there was a deeper water strainer on the door and one more shelves,other then that I loved it so far

Since i had it, this has been one of the best investments i've made. This is a great tool in the kitchen, with all the space it offers in both of the refrigerator and freezer sides. Convenience of having the ice/water thru the door is nice. After setting it up, delivery guys said it takes a couple hours for the water to get cold and about 1 day for the ice. It took less for both but also had to make sure the air was out of the waterline, or else it dripped for a day or 2. Stops dripping faster by filling up cups of water to help drain the air out. Except with the occasional ice being made, the over all noise has been minimal. Food and drinks have found itself a good home in this great fridge. Went on sale the next week i got it and received the price match offer, which was helpful, in person. Bigger than needed but it fits nicely. Just worry about moving it around, since its taller and heavier than my previous one. Look forward to having this for a good 10 years or more.

We had an identical looking fridge furnished in a condo. It was much more sturdy. Looks can be deceiving. All of the Whirlpool side by side ice/water in the door that we saw look alike from the outside, but this one had much cheaper, thinner plastic door bins and vegetable bins than the one in the rental. I first thought that the shelf just above the veggie bins could be converted to a deli drawer by ordering the drawer assembly from Whirlpool, but it definitely isn't an option with this model. I would caution to be sure and check the inside very carefully before buying and compare models. I would spend a little more and get a more sturdy model.

So far the fridge has been working absolutely great! Ice maker works well and the ice dispenser is satisfactory. It was very quiet when it first was installed.. (had to actually see if it was on..) But, after a month it sounds more like a fridge.. It is still pretty quiet.. No complaints and its well worth what I paid for it! Best Buy Service/delivery was great! They even credited my account, when the price dropped after a few days (after a Sunday 7:00am call of course).

Positives: It's wonderful that it's a Whirlpool, because we know its quality. Plus the value for the money is a steal! We got ours on sale on top of the great everyday price. Ice maker, ice crusher, and water are all good. Runs quiet. Spill-proof shelves. Negatives: No Deli Drawer, and No Gallon size shelves in door.

I have only only owned this fridge for a couple of weeks, but so far no complaints. Its pretty quiet and looks like an expensive fridge. My only issue and this is a pretty minor one is that the buttons on the ice and water dispenser are a little cheap looking and feeling. My parents liked it so much they ordered the same fridge for themselves!

Great frdige. I bought a floor model which had a few scratches and paint discoloration, but ended up savng about $300 because of it. The fridge works great and to be safe, I purchased the 5 year warranty (since it was a floor model). I still saved $200 with the warranty and I love it! Highly recommended One thing to note: the icemaker is a bit noisy (but only when room is silent) and you get used to it. Be sure to purchase the right water dispenser cable as I found out the hard way that fridges don't come with the proper cables when you have a door dispenser.

Bought December 09. No Problems yet. Old box was 15 years old and very noisey. This one is very quiet. Good sale price of 680..
