I read many reviews prior to pulling the trigger on this purchase. I decided to go with Whirlpool because of consumer reports ratings and because it was a good price. I was aware of the different noises it makes, and must admit none of them are alarming to me or too loud and I'm a light sleeper. I am coming from a 23 year old traditional top freezer unit and I am very happy with this fridge. The freezer is plenty big for me, and I am the kind who stockpiles things when they are on sale. It could use an extra shelf, but I just strategically stack my items since I'm not willing to spend the extra money. The one thing that frustrates me is the fridge door just swings all the way open. I wish it had a stopper. The ice maker in the freezer door is so nice. On occasion I have to give it a shake to move the ice around so that it will continue to produce. I haven't had a unit with water and ice in the door, so the complaints others have had about the ice coming out too fast or not being the right kind doesn't bother me at all. I just remember to hold my cup up close until its all the way finished. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.

Love my fridge!! It looks great and has plenty of room in the fridge portion. A little short on the freezer storage, but I do not put a lot in there. The ice is a little fast, but as long as you hold the glass up close there is no problems with it.

We did a lot of research to determine which refrigerator to get to replace our 20 year old Kenmore and based on the features we wanted and past reviews, we chose this refrigerator. We have had it for a month and it is working well, lighting is great, lots of space in fridge part, several drawers to store meat, fruit and vegetables. Our only complaint is that the freezer needed one or two more shelves but we were able to order shelves for it on-line so we have resolved that ourselves. During the first few days of having the fridge, the icemaker would shoot ice out randomly but that stopped after a few days.

My parents finally needed to replace a 32 year old fridge, (! Don't make 'em like that anymore!), and after shopping around physically, & internetty, this one came up after 5 grueling days. Very similar to car shopping, this fridge thing, between filtering through user reviews & professional ones - it can cause a large scale headache. Interior cabinet space is plenty +, ice & water dispenser have had no issues to date. In short, (really?), I would definitely recommend this brand/model if asked.

The fridge part is great, lots of room for food, shelving spaced nicely apart, looks very nice inside and out BUT we have had it for two months and the ice maker is not working. Had repair man come out and replace entire ice maker, that didn't work, so now have appt. for someone else to come out tomorrow. Should not happen to a fridge only 2 months old.

It is quite easy to hear the ice maker every time it drops a batch of ice. It would be nice if it were quieter. I suppose that is due to the ice maker being located in the door, which does free up a lot of shelf space. I especially like being able to easily reach into the ice bin to get ice by hand. Best Buy gave me a free top of refrigerator blue tooth speaker. Nobody else was giving those away that I am aware of, so that was a nice, unexpected bonus. Once disappointing thing is that I will have to buy an additional shelf for the freezer at a cost of $80. I think it should have been included with the refrigerator purchase. The Delivery Guys were fantastic. On time, polite, and they knew exactly what they were doing.

The refrigerator is good, seems to be made well. It is very loud when refilling the ice maker and is louder than most refrigerators during normal operations. Best Buy delivered a defective piece to the fridge and the delivery people called "someone" to report the damage..still waiting for someone from Best Buy to call me to correct.

Having had our older refrigerator for over 25 years, it was hard to give it up. I purchased this Whirlpool in the hopes of receiving the same quality of product as my older fridge. I'm unhappy that the shelves are stationery, not adjustable. And the design of the shelf spacing leaves much to be desired. Additionally, the left side of the inside of the refrigerator freezes my refrigerated food items. Very frustrating. Lastly the ice maker is very loud when dispensing ice. It's not the sound of the ice hitting the glass that's loud. It's the machinery operating the ice maker that is loud.

We really love our new fridge. The inside is very nice and the freezer with door icemaker makes it very spacious! The LED lighting is very nice. The only negative is keeping the front clean since it is stainless steel! Other than that, it is awesome.

We had a 10 year old Frigidaire that failed. Purchased a new Frigidaire and had trouble with the ice dispenser right away. Geek Squad replaced parts and still failed. Exchanged to this Whirlpool and ice has been fine. Had some plastic taste in the ice/water, but after a month or more it has finally gone away.

I just bought this refrigerator and looks awesome with a lot of space!

This is a great fridge ! It keeps everything super cold and works exactly as it says. The ice maker is a bit slow in making ice as some reviews say, but we don't use ice very often anyways so that didn't bother us. It's quiet and we can't hear it at all from the living room. Overall great product!

The inside is bright on the freezer side and the refridge side. I love having the three drawer on the refridge side. The door is deep and holds everything. I kept one shelf from my old Whirlpool side by side and it fit perfectly in my new one. No complaints.

Fridge works & looks great, a definite upgrade from the one we had. We really like all the features & especially the ice dispenser. I'd highly recommend to all consumers.

Love the fridge, lots of room and room for your milk in the side bins allowing more room in the fridge. Ice maker in the door so you also have more room in the freezer, but we only had our fridge for a week and the ice maker stopped making ice, had to replace it. I highly suggest the warranty with this purchase!

REFRIGERATOR WORKS BEAUTIFULLY AND HAVING THE ICEMAKER UNIT IN THE DOOR SAVES VALUABLE SPACE IN FREEZER COMPARTMENT. THE ONLY EXCEPTION IS THE GLASS SHELVES APPEAR TO BE THIN AND FRAGILE.

Really like the side-by-side and in-door ice maker. The fridge side has drawers that are set a few inches under the shelves. This creates a shelf for smaller items which then don't get lost on shelves with bigger stuff. Immediately after it was delivered and setup, the ice maker cabinet rubbed along the door on opening/closing. Also, the doors didn't line up with each other and when the tech came over to fix said both doors would need to be replaced. We really like this refrigerator so we're hoping this is not a telltale sign for things to come. Geek Squad has been very helpful and professional.

The fridge is not bad, but the shelfs are almost non-adjustable. And it is already being replaced because the through-the-door ice dispenser is leaking.

This refrigerator is living up to my expectations. Its beautiful and spacious. I haven't had any issues with it yet. I read a few reviews saying that it was noisy, especially when dropping ice. I don't see anything noisy about it. Of course you're going to hear the ice drop, that's only normal. You really couldn't get a better refrigerator for the price.
