What a unit!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this puppy after a super sale and couldn’t be happier. Legit, thrilled. Best fridge I’ve ever owned come to think of it. I’m not a big stainless guy, but this isn’t one of those fingerprint magnets folks, let the kids go bananas. Patrick, I’m thinking battlefield tonight, are you in?

Absolutely Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome! Dispensed filtered ice, cubed and crushed, along with water tastes delicious. I was worried it would break due to fragile or plastic parts; boy was I wrong…3 grandkids operate the dispenser w/ ease, even though they break their toys after just a few days. Spacious. Temp controls for fridge & freezer strong. I have freezer set to 3 and fridge set to 4. Before I bought this side by side I had many reservations, all of which have been for not, save one—I’ve only owned the unit for only 6 months, so I can not speak to its longevity, However, so far so good. I bought the extended warranty Best Buy offered for about 2 bills. Any problem, parts our labor, needed w/in 5 years is theirs not mine. I highly recommend paying $25 for full installation. Their crew of two strap on a dual-person harness and lift the refrigerator with their backs and place it in it’s kitchen spot. A dolly never touched my flooring—only four rubber soled boots. They hooked it up to the water line in minutes and literally showed me how to switch out the filter in less than 10 seconds. This Whirlpool unit and the Best Buy crew get my highest recommendation!

Good price, perfect size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We only had for a day so far. The delivery service was excellent! It is running nice and quiet, a nice change from our last refrigerator. Cools fast and love the separate levers for water and ice. The water doesn't come out real cold, but can add a little ice. Probably the only real set back with this refrigerator is that you cannot adjust the shelves and can fit tall items only on the top shelf. However, the space in the doors in great, so the rest of my taller items fit there. I'm used to one more shelf in the freezer, but I can live with that. I also like the deli drawer, which I've never had before. This was a good option for us as we have limited height and was in our price range. Very happy so far.

Nice Refrigerator
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Whirlpool refrigerator a week ago. It made a loud high-pitched buzzing noise when plugged in. The noise was too loud and very irritating and seemed to never stop. I contemplated calling Customer Service to have them pick it up because I knew I could never tolerate that sound for long. But I decided to keep it a few more days to see if I could find a solution to the problem. So I got on the web and found a forum regarding refrigerator problems. I found one where a technician mentioned pulling it out and looking behind to see if the refrigerator was touching something, causing it to vibrate. He said it could be leveling issue as well. He said to look behind, pull it out, and move it around a little to see if there's any change in sound. So I did exactly what he said. I noticed it had been touching on the water hose and this was probably the problem. I couldn't believe the noise stopped and turned into a regular low hum. I also bought a rubber mat to place underneath for stability and noise absorption. It's worked great. I just wanted to mention this for others who might have the problem with a buzzy new refrigerator. It might solve the issue of having to send it back.

Nice Unit with One Flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Plenty storage and works well. Only negative is the ice dispenser sometimes jams up with ice and doesn't fall thru. This leads to pieces of ice that are jammed to melt and leak out. Messy

Poor Customer Service.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A one hundred dollar gift card was one of the incentives with its purchase. Was impossible to claim. Contacted Best Buy a number of time with no resolution. As to the refrigerator, completely satisfied. It's spacious and well designed. Owned for four months. No problems with noise mentioned in other reviews. Would recommend the brand and model, but would hesitate purchasing it at Best Buy.

Stopped Working

BAD icemaker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We like the fridge. But, we are on our 2nd one and EACH time, the icemaker fails. And not just icemaker - it was faulty wiring on first one and now our 2nd one works but just dumps once every 30 hours. Whirlpool support no help!!!! I don't blame BestBuy - faulty and cheap manufacturing.

Sorry we bought this
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unit looks great on the outside. It keeps our food cold as it should. However the ice and water dispenser is very poorly designed. The water dispenser is in front of the ice dispenser as opposed to being side by side. This results in constantly having water drip marks running down the front of the freezer door. Also when inserting the glass to get ice it is very easy to accidentally bump the water dispenser and make a mess. This fridge does not have leveling legs. Since the unit is on rollers when we pull the door open the whole fridge rolls forward. I had to put shims in front of the rollers to prevent it from moving. This fridge is loud. When the compressor turns on the condenser coil underneath the unit vibrates and creates quite an annoying noise. The other design flaw is that the shelves are not adjustable which limits the storage.

Loud and the compressor cycles all the time!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this fridge for about 3 weeks and I'm really disappointed about how loud it is and how often the compressor seems to cycle. Even when the doors have remained shut for several hours I've timed it at running 50 out of 60 minutes in an hour. I can hear the fridge humming constantly from across the room about 35 feet away. It's very annoying. I would have expected a modern fridge to run much more silently. I reached out to @WhirlpoolCare and have gotten nothing but generic and callous responses pointing me to unhelpful FAQs and documentation pages. It's obvious that they don't want to engage in determining if this is an isolated problem or common for this model. On the positive side: The fridge looks nice from the outside and provides ample space on the inside given it's moderate footprint. Other annoyances worth mentioning: The cover for the ice tray is not well constructed and will not stay clipped. Also beware of the water dispenser. We didn't notice how flush it is with the front of the fridge and it throws guests off. We're worried about it getting hit by accident when getting ice or if someone leans on the fridge door.

Wires on door hinge break after two years…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a great fridge but be warned of a major design flaw which has resulted in lawsuits. The wires at the bottom of the freezer door hinge which connect to the rest of the fridge get worn down after a couple of years and break which stops the ice maker working. Only fix is to relair the wires or replace the entire fridge door which costs $1000. We used Whirlpools preferred service provider and they fixed the wire but it only lasted 2 weeks and now our only option is to replace the entire freezer door. Its a good fridge but if you look online, this issue has affected a lot of Whirlpool customers.

Whirlpool Lies and Denies About the Junk They Make
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The evaporator fan is very noisy, to the point of distraction. The noise is well-know to Whirlpool with hundreds of complaints about it. Worse, Whirlpool charges $300 for an OEM replacement, which is available on other parts sites for $16. They build this unit with faulty parts so they can profit on the replacements. My primary complaint beside the noise is that WP is trying to cheat me out of my warranty rights. Specifically, I called them within 10 days of delivery to make sure I was protected by their 15 day return policy. I was asked to wait 7 days for compressor to stabilize. I explicitly asked that my warranty rights, including a return, be preserved as of the day I called. I was assured I could exercise my right to return rights if the noise persisted which it did. I called again and eventually two service calls were arranged by WP. At that point WP stated the noise was normal and denied my return request. Very slick way to cheat customers out of their rights. Then I asked if WP had decibel specs defining normal noise. I was told none exists. Therefore, Whirlpool cannot defend its opinion that the noise is normal. Then WP denied my return rights. So, WP lied about preserving my rights, which is evidence of fraud. SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE. DON’T BUY WHIRLPOOL.

Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This side by side fridge is just what we needed and wanted. The LED light is bright, the storage is good and the energy efficiency is great! The ice and water dispenser took some getting used to since it's different than most, but it is a very minor "issue". I have not noticed the loud noises that were mentioned in previous reviews, either my house is super loud (thanks to two toddlers) or it's not something that I consider a loud noise.

Fantastic fridge
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this fridge to replace a Samsung that kept giving us recurring issues. So far this fridge is great as everything works without issue. My only gripe is that the ice kind of sits at the top of the door so occasionally it drips down the left door.

Not Quality - Doesn't last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 3 1/2 years ago. A drawer cracked within less than 1 year. You cannot adjust any of the shelves - very annoying when you want to put an oversized item in. Just this week, the freezer/refrigerator stopped cooling. It was completely out of refrigerant. I had to have it refilled at a cost of $400. That should never have to be refilled. The technician could not detect any leak after having refilled it and checked it twice over 3 days to see if any loss of refrigerant. Tech feels it was never fully filled from the factory.
