    I bought the whirlpool side by side refrigerator July of 2021 Model: WRS325SDHZ. I received it October of 2021. The first one had a huge dent in the front so they re- ordered. The second one was also damaged so they reordered. The third one was fine but had issues with the ice maker immediately. They sent a service tech out to fix the problem. September of 2023 the unit stopped working completely. I called whirlpool even though the initial year warranty was out and they said depending on what was wrong it could be covered under the extended warranty. I paid $125.00 for the service technician to come out. He said the compressor was broken which was covered but the circuit board was also out which wasn't covered because it was likely caused by a power surge. He said it would be approx.$800.00 to replace the circuit board. There were no storms or power outages in my area at this time and nothing else in the house has been affected. I initially bought whirlpool because I felt it is a trusted name but I am very disappointed by the product I received.

    Broke down after extended warraty run out

    I didn't know the fridge only had three years extended warranty on it. It broke down right on the third year. It was fine all three years. Extended warranty is highly suggested.

    Bad Frig

    Bought this refrigerator June 16 2022. Within the past week and a half we noticed temp in frig seemed to be getting warmer every day. Freezer temp also rising now. Frig temp is 60, freezer is at 21 degrees. Temp settings set at coldest and not getting colder. Compressor seems to run constantly. When you open frig or freezer compressor shuts off. When you shut doors, compressor comes back on. Thought that was energy thing but now I wonder. Water drips down front of frig when dispenser used. Ice cubes seem to get stuck in tube and then drop out on floor after them melt a bit. Have had to take everything out of frig and freezer due to temp. Thank goodness we have our 20 year old kenmore in garage to put stuff in. Notified whirlpool and best buy Monday of problem. It's Thursday and no assistance yet. I think the component that defrost the freezer is shot because there is ice on the back wall of the freezer. Not a repair person but, had this issue with the frig we had prior to this one. Anyway, no I would not recommend this frig to anyone. Very very unhappy with purchase. For $1570.00 I expect it to last a lot longer like my Kenmore in the garage.

    I purchased this refrigerator as part of a package. After installation, I immediately noticed that it was very loud and the fan kept running. It was only then that I went back and read the reviews. Big mistake! Apparently this refrigerator has an extensive history with the same issue. I also noticed the same stock Whirlpool response. I contacted Whirlpool and received this: "I am terribly sorry to hear that this unit is making this noise. Usually when a refrigerator is just installed it will make noises as it settles. it can take up to a week for it to settle." I called Best Buy and they were fantastic in getting a replacement out right away. Unfortunately, the replacement fridge is making the same loud noise. My suggestion...AVOID WHIRLPOOL. The fact that they are aware of the issue and instead of fixing it, they just make excuses should signal you to shop for another brand. Bye Whirlpool!

    Do not be fooled by other reviews. This is a lemon. We have had it for 10 months and it has never worked. Whirlpool has sent 4 repair techs over and each time they say it’s fixed, it breaks again. Their warranty is a joke.

    I purchased the whirpool side by side fridge and the icemaker has not been working for a couple months. They sent a repairman to look at my fridge and I was told I need a plumber to look at my line. Plumber came and said nothing is wrong with my line. Made a second appt through Whirlpool and the serviceman never came, When I called I was told by the service vendor that my appt was never confirmed. Even though I received a confirmation email from Whirlpool.

    Good entry level Fridge Poor quality checks

    Fridge arrived with flaws 2 times .First time replaced it do to icemaker issues. However it does work fine. Best buy managed to be the biggest problem by damaging our wood floors 2 times.

    Beware if you're expecting to receive delivery of this appliance (and perhaps any other) in New York City. It's a six hour delivery window, which is not ideal, but so be it. In my particular case, the delivery team missed the delivery window, which happens, but there were no attempts made to communicate timing and the online agents were helpless in trying to locate the delivery team to get an update on status. A second delivery was scheduled for 48 hours later, which also failed - incredibly surprising. In fairness, I ultimately cancelled the order and don't have anything credible to comment on regarding the quality of the actual product. However, I've never had a more unprofessional purchasing experience. I will never shop with Best Buy ever again and from this point on will seek to conduct business with Best Buy's direct competitors despite whether the price Best Buy is offering is more competitive.

    No air filter on this model. Ice dispenser jams.

    We purchased this refrigerator this year. It doesn't have an air filter so it tends to start to smell fairly quickly. We've changed our water filter for the ice machine and it still tastes terrible. The ice dispenser also jams quite frequently. We wouldn't recommend this model.

    Nice finish nice size but the auto-defrost quit working 11 months after purchase. Now my fridge has stopped cooling. Frost and ice have accumulated on the back freezer wall stopping the water flow to the icemaker. Had to call the warranty repairman to fix it but we've been waiting on parts for two weeks. Good thing I kept my old GE fridge or I wouldn't have a place to put my food.

    I hate this fridge!

    This fridge has ruined my life. I hate it so much. The hinge mechanism in the door has a design flaw and every time you use the fridge, the doors will either bang into your arm or bang into the counter and shake everything in the door. It's a fight either way. The service people have been to my house twice and told me about the faulty hinge design of this model. I've tried multiple hacks online to mitigate it, but nothing works. I spent so much money on this fridge and the extra warranty and it makes me sick that I have to keep it for years to come. I am not the kind of person to complain. But every time I use the fridge and freezer, it annoys me beyond belief. You really have to use one hand to secure the door, while you struggle to use one hand to get the food out. Do not buy this fridge!

    I love the refrigerator I am very disappointed in the black stainless steel. It scratches and dents very easily. We scratched it in the first week and the plastic coating they put on it is impossible to get off and 4 months later I still have it on in spots. So much for my beautiful new kitchen appliances. No way they should charge extra!

    Don't bother buying, literally 1 month after the warranty expires the whole system stopped working, because of seal system problem. Barely 5 years old, not worth your money

    Big mistake. The control panel doesn't work day one. Position of the ice Despenser paddle and the water dispenser paddle are right in front of each other. Who thought of this bad design? Defect. Return.

    Bought this in May 2019 and it quit working within 10 days. First, the refrigerator side froze up and quit working. Then the ice maker quit working several days later and finally the freezer stopped working. Also, the doors could not be lined up properly. Whirlpool will not allow Best Buy to work on these in the first year, so I had to schedule the service through them. The repair people they sent never called me back after the first appointment and Whirlpool said it would take three weeks to get the parts in. Fortunately, I had the extended warranty and Best Buy replaced it within two days with a different brand. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again. The product is no good and their service is terrible.
