I bought this unit to replace a similar very old unit, but this time in stainless steel. It works better than the old one and looks so much better. I LOVE it.

Much better than the GE Dual Wave than I had. I was amazed to see the improvements over the older unit......especially the microwave.

Whirlpool combo ovens have a dangerous defect

We bought a Whirlpool combo oven (with a microwave above) last April from BestBuy, and first used it this Thanksgiving to cook a small turkey. Three days later I used the SteamClean function, following all instructions in the manual closely. After it was cool I wiped the oven’s inside with a wet cloth, as suggested, and found dozens of fine chips of metallic paint immediately came off on the cloth. After I complained about this, Whirlpool duly sent a technician from J & H. I have no complaint at all about him: he was forthcoming about our problem, and advised us not to use the SteamClean function anymore. His inspection report was sent to Whirlpool, who later told me the problem was "cosmetic" and so not covered by the warranty; in other words, if I wanted to have it fixed (repainted) I would have to pay—on a new oven! The "customer service" person refused to accept that having paint fall into our food was in any way dangerous, although I explained this twice. It means we dare not use an oven we paid nearly $2,000 for, and after just one use! If we were to use the oven again it is quite likely that more metallic paint will fall off other areas and drop into the food. The real problem with this oven is that it has a dangerous defect, not a cosmetic flaw. Whirlpool's website doesn't seem to allow for reviews like this, but BestBuy does. The bottom line is that you should avoid Whirlpool products and complaining to their Customer Service: look for another brand!

    Very disappointed!

For having spent $2800 on this product, I expected something better. The fan runs constantly through preheat, baking, and cool down. It runs on the microwave until you open the door. I hate the fan running constantly while I am baking. SO annoying. But an even worse issue is never being sure what the oven temperature is while baking. I burned the rolls at Thanksgiving and ruined the cookies at Christmas. When the man who sold and installed the unit called Whirlpool for me, he was told to tell me to preheat an additional 35 minutes after the oven beeped to say it had reached the temperature set for. So I am preheating and listening to that fan for 45+ minutes even before I actually start baking. I have been baking in both new and used ovens for 40 years and have never had issues like this. I am so aggravated!

Microwave going out after 3 years.

Occasionally, the microwave would appear to turn on but only the turntable went. The last few days, it appears to be cooking but is only heating at maybe 20% of normal. I have had this for only 3 years, just put in a call fo service. Not happy. If I have to replace it there is no way I'm getting a dual unit again--this is the second dual unit I have had where the microwave has gone out.

    Whirlpool Down

First of all Best Buy has been great trying to fix my issue. But this oven was installed on July 7, 2016 and Ive yet to be able to use it. Minute's after they installed I got an error code F8E8 and here I am still no oven or microwave. Whirlpool said parts are on back order and it maybe July 27, 2016 could be later. But in the mean time they have parts to build more ovens just not fix mine. I don't have an have a product that I paid cash for $2600. Needless to say I wont be buying whirlpool again ever. I will update when it gets resolved.

My oven has been installed today. I turned it on and after 30 minutes, with a constant noise as if you have someone hoovering your kitchen floor, my husband and I are thinking in giving it back. Quite irritating! Don't buy it.
