GREAT WASHER
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I AM A CARE GIVER FOR MY WHEELCHAIR BOUND WIFE WHO GENERATES SEVERAL FULL LOADS OF WASH EACH DAY. I PURCHASED THE WHIRLPOOL TO REPLACE 20 SOME YEAR OLD KENMORE. IT TAKES A COUPLE LOADS OF WASH TO FAMILIARIZE WITH THE NEW NOISES THE WHIRLPOOL WASHER MAKES. THE LOADS ARE CLEAN, THE MACHINE USES LESS WATER AND ELECTRICITY TO WASH. I AM PLEASED WITH THE UNIT AND PLAN TO REPLACE MY EXISTING SPEED QUEEN DRYER WITH A WHIRLPOOL DRYER ONCE I PAY OFF THE WASHER. I AM ALSO VERY SATISIFIED WITH BEST BUY THE COMPANY I BOUGHT THE WASHER FROM. FREE DELIVERY, INSTALLATION AND CARRYING AWAY THE OLD KENMORE. KUDOS TO WHIRLPOOL AND BEST BUYS

Great washer so far!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I am happy with this washer machine. It is an HE washer which, is just fine with me because most laundry detergent is made for these washers. The water usage is just enough to wash the clothes so it's not wasted like the old washers used to. I have no grips or complaints about this washer so far. Yes, the door locks after you push start but, you can push the button again and it quickly pauses so you can add more laundry last min. Clothes have come out clean and smelling good. It does a good job of washing them. So far so good.... :)

Loving this washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this over Columbus Day so the price was amazing. I worried I was getting a subpar machine but have been very happy. One tip: you really need to read the manual to understand when and how to use which cycles in order to maximize the washer's efficacy. My only real problem is that it is SO high capacity that my dryer can barely contain the load!

This is a great washer at a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer after my front loader went. It's bigger on inside compared to my front loader which was great and works so good. I highly recommend this washer. I read reviews always before buying and this washer washes nice and is much fairly quiet. I have no basement so I needed something that wasn't loud. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I wish it had hand wash cycle but other than that it's great and washes a comforter very well

Great Washer for Us!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this washer during a July 4th Sale Event - saved well over 100.00 off the listed price! I was a little worried about the negative reviews on this site - but once we got the washer up and running (thanks to Best Buy's free delivery and installation), I haven't looked back. About 10 loads in and our clothes have been coming out clean and fresh - much fresher and softer that our old washer! Granted, we don't heavily soil our clothes as a general rule - but for us this washer is doing a fabulous job! I have a feeling a lot of the negative reviews are from people that a) haven't bothered to read the instructions, b) refuse to remove heavy stains by hand before loading or c) load the washer incorrectly.

Great washing machine for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washing machine a little over a month ago because my 9-year-old Kenmore's transmission blew. Best Buy had the best deal in price for this machine anywhere in Port Charlotte, including free shipping and haul away of the old machine. It takes some getting used to the different sounds of the machine sensing the amount of clothes to add the right amount of water (the machine is high efficiency and uses less water and laundry detergent). But otherwise it's pretty quiet and does a good job washing clothes. It's very spacious inside as the agitator is just a wash plate. But very satisfied with the purchase thus far.

Great HE Washer and a great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had no problem with washing anything. It has gotten everything clean that I have put in there. I think the reason so many have complained about it not washing right is that they are not loading it correctly and did not read the directions before operating it. If you load it the way that it says then you should have no problem with it. I even talked to a salesman about my concerns after reading all the negative reports on it. He said the same thing--people are not loading it correc tly and also and they should be using HE soap not regular laundry soap because that has too much suds for and HE washer. Load it correctly and you will see.

Outstanding for the price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I must say, I was a bit weary of the purchase as there seems to be quite a few negative reviews. Aesthetically the washer is easy on the eyes. The greys give it just enough of a touch to make it seem like it is higher-end. I have run about 30 loads of laundry over the last month and I am impressed with how clean my clothes are. I absolutely use HE (high efficiency) laundry soap as the directions state. I also put the soap in first as the directions state. Light stains come out with ease. The only draw back I have, is that it takes upwards of five minutes to truly engage after pressing start. I hate the locked lid as I have to stop the machine in order to add the one missed, or dropped sock and pair of underwear. For what I paid, it is a steal, however. I absolutely recommend to buyers on a budget.

Great Mid Price Range Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this washing machine. I place the clothes in the machine with the detergent, close the lid and the sensor controls the water level. My clothes are clean and fresh smelling when they come out of the machine. After the cycles are complete, it takes a little longer for the tub to finish spinning and release the lid so it can be opened. It does a really thorough job in spinning though which reduces the drying time.

Awesome for a normal washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is powerful, and washes your clothes very well. I am able to do large loads, and it has a nice spin cycle as well. It does not make the same noises as a typical washer, it actually frightened me at first but you get use to the noise after awhile. I actually washed 5 blankets at the same time and they all came out super clean! This product is at a good price and works terrific!

Great washer for the price!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned this Whirlpool model for over a year now and I have had no issues with it. I love it! I do not mind the locking lid and you can pause during the first one or two cycles if needed to throw in an item. If you follow the operating instructions, it washes like a dream. It has a very large tank so it works great for large loads. I always use the second rinse and cold water only. My clothes come out fresh and clean. I have never used a Downy ball in my washer. Thats what sheets are for. Clothes dry quickly in my dryer. The sounds are a little different but you get used to them. No complaints!

Clunker washer with a WEIRD wash cycle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this Whirlpool set top load washer and fron load dryer an had it installed today, well i tested it out by washing an queen size bed comforter an i have to say was DISSAPOINTED, the washer is easy to use an such, an has simple features, but where the problem is, with the wash cycle, THAT SUCKS, all it does in constantly (stop an spin) every 2 seconds, thats horrible an aggravating in my opinion. I wished it just (washed an spin) like the OLD SCHOOL WASHERS, without it stopping every 2 seconds, and i wished it used a tad more water, so i have NO idea if items are getting clean, or not. But it did a pretty bad job on my comforter cause when i took it out of the washer it was still SOAKING WET, so thats another problem. This issue needs to be FIXED with the wash cycle of the constant (spin, stop, spin, stop) every 2 seconds, thats why im giving this CLUNKER a 2 on performance, i would HIGHLY reccond findind a washer that DOES NOT have that issue, find one that just (wash as spinning) on the wash cycle. I have 30 days on this set but probably will be taking it back for something thats better an does not that the (spin stop) issue. Last thing on this clunker, if your doing heave loads, the waher shakes WAY TO MUCH, seems like it would get knocked out of balance easily.

so far so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have used this washer for about a month. It does the job. The controls are simple and the cleaning results are very good. I recieved a rebate from pg&e. I don't know how reliable it is yet but have purchased protection plan for 5 years. So far Aok.

Happy using less water and getting clean clothes!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like saving energy! Electric bill down ! I have a hot water tank.Haven't seen water bill yet.Could be shortening my dryer time also! Took some time getting used to sounds. Not too loud just unusual. Not the white noise background sound the old one had. This is all explained in owners manual . Don't run near someone trying to sleep! I read the manual carefully to understand the differences from my previous Whirlpool that was 24 yrs old. Just re-rinse for occasional lint line.Clothes smell and look as clean as before.Bought during 4th of July sale.Used my Best Buy card for additional savings!

Easy to operate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Whirlpool after being disappointed with another Whirlpool hoping that since the reviews were a little better on this one that I would be satisfied with the performance. The washing operation is good except when you wash a quilt. It tends to go off balance. The operation is noisy and the vibration in the spin cycle is too much. The machine will not move along the floor, but it does shake. I never had a machine that did that before. I have had Maytag and GE in the past and the vibration wasn't that bad. Whirlpool is supposed to be a top brand, but I am quite disappointed. Since I am limited with the price on washers, there isn't much out in the market that is of good quality that I can afford. I guess I'll put up with this one for now. I suggest that if you can afford it, try a different brand of washer.

I love my new machine!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first high-efficiency washer, and I have to say, I love it! I love that it saves me water, therefore money and our clothes have always come out clean. I can even skip a day sometimes between loads, because it has a higher capacity than my old machine. I'm a lazy laundress, so I haven't utilized many of the special features/cycles, but I'm glad they're there for when I do want to use them.

good for those on a budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i was looking for something that i could use for 3 years, and then sell it off, instead of renting units for $45/month. there is no central agitator, which is great for washing my pet beds. it is a noisy unit, and i dislike that i have to use a downy ball for fabric softening. i've never trusted that a downy ball actually works. the unit locks once it is started, and thus you cannot add softener prior to the rinse cycle.

Great Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my masher. I bought it because my old motor went out. It is a great alternative to the front loaders. It took a little while to get used to the fact that I have to put my laundry detergent in before the clothes and that there wont be any water in the tub to dilute it.

Excellent Washer For the Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this unit as part of the advertised set. Set up and delivery where perfect. The unit cleans very well, although the noises and sounds it makes take some getting used to. I noticed some old stains that my old Whirlpool left behind where gone after a trip in this machine. i would highly reccommend this washer to anyone. I really love that the machine is made in the USA as well! Good job Best Buy and Whirlpool.

great washer for a big family
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i love this machine! once i read the manual and used it, i was impressed. the clothes were clean and the spin cycle worked well the only thing i noticed was some wrinkling of the clothes, which the dryer took care of.
