I had to purchase a new washer & dryer after my old Maytag bit the dust after 18 years of daily washing. I bought this washer along with the matching dryer due to it's Energy Star rating. Supposed to use less water, etc. NOT so! Not if you have to wash everything 3 times to get it clean! I've never in my life had a more useless appliance. The dryer is great and does what it's supposed to do but the washer is horrible! I have to re-wash everything to even attempt to get them clean. Most of the time it just wets everything and then spins it dry. If you have more than 4 pairs of jeans, you have to hit "drain & spin" a couple of times just to get enough water out to put them in the dryer. DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER!

Been using this washer for a couple of months. Uses less water and still cleans 7-10 pairs of jeans in one load.

I purchased this washer because I was looking for a new machine without an agitator, but u dont get a fabric softener dispenser either. I intially wanted a top loader because I thought it would be easy to toss extra items in during the wash cycle. This washing machine used very little water, almost no water. I have 2 kids that get pretty messy and I can still see stains on their clothes that generally would come out with my last washer. Our washroom is upstairs and the washing machine is extremely loud. I opted to exchange it for something else. You get what you pay for, but it would work great for adults with lightly soiled clothes, but if you have kids, spend the extra money, and get a better washer.

Excellent quality washing machine. It's very roomy inside, so you can do big loads of laundry.

Ok, this thing is awesome! I can wash a queen size comforter in here without a problem. Has a cleaning mode, is efficient, the ladies really dig it, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?!?!

I wouldn't buy this washer. I bought it Saturday and returned it Monday. I washed a couple loads of laundry after they delivered the unit. Let's just say I DID read the manual before beginning and my clothes were not that clean. I loaded the washer properly and everything. I could still smell body odor on my clothes after washing. I also felt like the washer was louder than what I had paid for, a mid grade washer. This was not worth the money. I ended up going back and spending more money on something nicer.

Great washer. High efficiency and quiet. Gotta load it differently but once you got the hang of it, it's great!!!!

I purchased this set 4 months ago as a long term investment in our new house. I wanted high efficiency to save on water, and top load to save my back. Unfortunately, this washer does not clean any laundry that's more than 4 inches from the bottom of the tub. It's not very noticeable with everyday laundry, but if I have anything even slightly soiled (I have a 1-year-old), then I have to scrub out the muck before I put it in the washer. I even use the super wash mode with the double rinse, and it still doesn't clean soiled laundry unless I pre-wash it by hand. I would like to return the set (the sticker inside the dryer is already peeling off, and the placement of the lint trap causes lint to get everywhere when I empty it), but I'm past the 30-day return period, so I don't know if Best Buy can do anything for me. Huge waste of $1100!

We have been extremely unhappy with our washer. We have had it a year, and we are going to get another one tomorrow. The washer does not clean our clothes. We regularly run the clothes through the cycle twice just to make sure they are clean. I am not picky about a washer or dryer, but I do expect them to work. It is also very loud, which if it worked, I could easy live with. I never write reviews, but I hope this can help others save money and time.

Great machine. Worth $600, got for $425. Not a cut rate machine. Whirlepool makes a good product.

Easy to operate. Easy on clothing. Can't use just any detergent.

Love this washer...didn't have to spend a fortune to have nice features that my old one did not have. Delivery men were awesome!

This is an "ok" standard washing machine. Thus far, the product still works, however it does not have that many options. I would say to save your money for a better one.

An older, traditional Whirlpool washer came with my condo, but finally had to be replaced. I wish I had purchased a different brand, or possibly another traditional washer (with agitator). The washing cycle, with extra rinse and spin, takes approximately an hour. The cycle is longer and at times much louder than with my old washer; I can no longer run my washer at night for fear of disturbing my neighbor. Even with an extra rinse, clothes do not come fully clean. For that matter, even after an extra rinse, there were still dry patches on some items of clothing. The load was a smaller and more loosely packed than I used to place into my old machine. I'm typing this review as my clothes go through a third rinse cycle.
