The flames are too big, but not necessarily hotter. Seems like it takes a long time for the oven to heat up. The grates are not even.

Nice having grills covering entire top but makes cleaning difficult. Before if you had minor spill you could just wipe up. With this you have to wait until cooled down, remove grates then clean hardened spill from surface. Front burners will not go low enough for simmer. You can start on front burners but then must move to back for simmering. Other than this very happy with range.

Because all burners are able to work at full power, everything cooks much quicker and hotter. Also, the oven door closes tight with no gap, yahoo! However, the one big negative is the AquaLift technology. Who ever thought up this idea obviously does not cook or clean. Oven was hardly soiled but wanting to keep it looking like new, decided to clean it after only a few uses. It took three cleaning cycles and a lot of elbow grease, and it is still not totally clean. This is not a "self-cleaning" oven. Having second thoughts about choosing this appliance.
