Great portable air unit it works great at cooling my bedroom and his and hers master bathroom. I learned from past mistakes that they over rate the BTU ratings on these things it cools closer to the DOE cooling power of 8800 BTU and will not cool the speced 550sqft so I sized accordingly and also bought an insulation sleeve for the exhaust vents. My master bath and bedroom combined is about 360sqft and it cools them just fine. For the reviewers who says it wouldn't cool their room it is obviously too small for that room even if the room is less than 550 square feet you always oversize with window or portable air units by at least 3000 BTU so if the space you are trying to cool is close to the rated 550 sqft this unit will run continuously go by the DOE BTU's not the ASHRIE BTU's and you'll have no problem with cooling the space.

purchased this unit do to the dual hose configuration as well as btu output. When I recieved the unit the shipping box was intact. I opened it up to find that the two halfs of the clam shell casing on the unit itself where not assembled correctly and overlapping the opposite direction. Screws had to be removed to fix the issue. The second issue is the unit itself was covered in black scuff marks. They were goo like. took a few hours to clean whatever it was off. The 3rd issue is the front lower portion of the unit was scuffed and scratched up. The 4th issue is the elbows that attach to the unit itself and then to the hoses were cracked and split down a mold seam. This did not occur during shipping and was clearly a quality control issue at the factory. The icing on the cake is that whirlpool sub contracts the manufacturing of these units out to a 3rd party. I called them immidately after opening the box 3 plus weeks ago and to this day no phone call back. The service of this company is rock bottom crap and I've recieved zero support. Had I known this I would have went with another manufacturer. The unit itself cools a large space well but i'm left with damaged goods that I can't get corrected. I'll never buy a whirlpool A/C unit again. Poor quality control and no support for this product when you have an issue. Do not buy this product.

Bought this unit to get me thru the next 6 months until I can replace the 15 year old central air unit for my home. It is rated for 550 Sq. Ft. but has been keeping the entire living room, kitchen and dinning room cool (about 850 Sq. Ft.) I have no complaints at all. Does a great job at keeping everyone cool.

We received our portable air conditioner in a timely fashion. We are excited to get it hooked up fir when the hot weather hits. Also my body temp runs hot whenever I do any exercion so I’m sure we will be using it a lot.

It keep my living room cool all day i have to turn it of sometimes ....lol

I bought this product for 450 dollars and I used it for a good one month in a little living room and I was not happy with the cooling. I returned it. It was doing an ok job. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

I'm astonished at the quality, quietness and power of this portable AC. Installing was super easy. It is quieter than even the quietest Whynter units. I've had 3 portable units and this is by far the best. The dual hose design is superior to single. This keeps negative pressure to a minimum so no outside hot air enters.

I am sorry for the trouble Danny has had with this unit. I picked my unit up from my local best buy. The shipping box was in rough shape but the unit itself and all the peripherals were all in new shape. Honestly I’m so pleased with this A/C it makes me feel like portable A/C’s get an unnecessarily bad rap. The limited availability of this unit across the internet is concerning, especially for such a recent model. The remote feels cheap. The surface of the remote is simply an overlay, the underlying buttons are much smaller than the physical icons. I usually do not purchase warranties, but i did opt for the four year geek squad warranty on this A/C. Bottom Line: She is sleek and glossy like an ice cube. Rightfully so, because she is a cooling machine.

Do not recomend this ac! For some reason doeant seem to cool my room... tempature does not go below 72!!!
