Customers are impressed with the double oven, citing its size and functionality as major benefits. The ease of use and convenient hinged grates also received positive feedback, with many appreciating the improved cleaning experience. However, some customers reported issues with the display panel warping due to heat, and others experienced difficulties during the installation process. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding installation and the display panel.

We purchased this range to replace a very outdated built-in range top and a single wall over. It was a huge upgrade from the old items in a home we bought. We like the double ovens and the continuous grate range top. It generally works well, but there are a couple of caveats. Sometimes when we reach into the microwave over the range, we brush against the burner dials on the front and turn the burner on. We are striving to be careful of this, but we still do it sometimes. As another review noted, the timer is fairly quiet and does not sound continuously. That said, it cooks our food well and we are happy to have it! It is a good product and meaningfully less costly than alternatives that we liked less.

is a great oven/range! My husband does a lot of cooking and baking and he’s commented each time how much he enjoys using this appliance. Having dual ovens is great, something we did not even realize we needed. The gas range cooks evenly, husband is happy with that too. Easy to use control panel. Our prior oven/range was not even that old, but this is definitely superior. So far, we are very pleased and would recommend this double oven gas range.

Waited for years to have the stove of my dreams. Love the double oven because I live alone and don't have to use the whole oven to cook something for myself.

This double oven had all the features I was looking for. Stylish, easy to clean, convection oven, and quality. Installation was timely and the guys were wonderful. It pretty much exceeded my expectations.

I finally decided to replace my 12 year old stove. We have used the upper oven and so far it worked great. I love the ability to just lift the grates and clean the stove. Have not yet used the bottom oven or used them simultaneously. I like the ability to be able to place large pots and not worry that they may not fit. Only issue so far is the enamel (sorry if it is called something else) covering on the grate, stains very easily with spills and hard to remove. Don’t want to scrub with abrasive sponges as I’m afraid it may peel off. Definitely very nice looking and has worked well so far.

The double oven feature is very useful. It has a broil option that allows you to use the top burner in the small oven which is great for browning cheese. The small oven is perfect for pizzas. The large burner puts off plenty of heat, I used it with a large water bath canner with no problem.

We had our eyes on a Hotpoint Double range but after noticing that the "black" surfaces are actually Gray (as compared to the same oven in a single door format, see Pic)...we changed our minds and went with this Whirlpool Convection Double. Glad we did! This thing is well built and HEAVY! Get a friend to help you with it. Install went well and It's a keeper!
I have to say I had the greatest experience with BestBuy...Their staff was help full but not overbearing and they did match a competitor so I was able to meet my price-point. I bought it on Monday, it was ready a day early and It was wheeled out to my van Thursday after work. I am sold on BB.

Just wish it came with a griddle plate for the center burner, but otherwise a quality stove that cooks and bakes fantastically and was at a great price.

Love love LOVE this oven. Both ovens pre heat really fast no matter if you’re using them separate or together. Has a huge Bruner to fast boil. Love this purchase !

Purchased this unit back in May. Wasn’t able to go view in person, so had to rely on reviews/product descriptions. It seemed to be a decent model and I liked the style of the grates that flip up for ease of cleaning.
Downside is the BTU output is not nearly as strong as I was hoping. The front left-side burner is adequate. The front right takes much longer to bring an 8qt pot of water to a rolling boil. Forget about the back burners.
Speaking of back burners, you should avoid using any pot taller than 5” on the back because the control panel is a plastic front … it’s wild to me that they would design this with a material that is *not* heat proof. Apparently if it gets exposed to too much heat (like if you’re to simmer something for a prolonged period of time) it will warp and bubble. Luckily we were able to get it repaired through the very limited 1yr warranty.
I would not recommend this to future buyers unless they will do little to no cooking.

I was excited to buy this because it had the double oven and a griddle burner. However, there is no way you can fit 4 pans on this cooktop at the same time. If you are making a holiday dinner and need to have 4 pots on top, it would be impossible. Also, the black grates have already started to wear and scratch. I have high quality stainless steel cookware. There is no reason for this to be wearing after less than a month of use. The only reason I give this 2 stars is because the ovens work well.
It is through customer feedback that we are able to correct, and make changes to, our products in respect to their quality and overall design. Whirlpool understands that valued customers, like you, are why we are in business. We sincerely regret the frustration and inconvenience you experienced. We will forward a copy of your concerns to the appropriate departments for review in future design consideration.
Sincerely,
Amanda

Terrible quality.
Knobs aren't stainless. They're covered with a stainless looking sticker. Peeling after one year. Whirlpool won't back the poor design with a replacement. Design flaw and cheap shortcut to LOOK like stainless.
Iron grates no longer stay raised and fall straight to the counter. Design flaw. Whirlpool replaced the grates but the new ones fall too.
Can't fit 4 pans on the burners. Center burner is useless. Downstairs generate any real heat for cooking.

This is a very nice appliance, especially for the price. The similar products from the high-end brands easily cost double. I use both ovens at the same time regularly, and I have had no problems, but I purchased a 3-year extended care warranty, just in case. The hinged grates are a fabulous idea, and it makes it so easy to keep the top clean. I think other companies will copy this feature. The stove and the ovens are very quiet. They make absolutely no noise when not in use, and the convection fan is virtually unnoticeable when in use. The oven came perfectly calibrated--I bought a free-standing thermometer to confirm this. For the first couple days, the ovens smelled like something was burning off of them from the production process. After that, no smell (other than food) at all. The front burners are a bit closer to the back burners than they could be. If they moved them an inch forward, I think this would be better. I generally really enjoy this appliance.

- Looks
Matches really nicely with the fridge I bought: Whirlpool - 26.2 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator with Thru-the-Door Ice and Water - Monochromatic Stainless Steel
Stainless steel does show fingerprints, but I bought Therapy Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish and it seems to clean the fingerprints well and also prevents them for a time.
- Usage/Oven
Few minor quibbles. In the top oven, the rack doesn't pull out smoothly because the door is set too high for it to do so. You can pull it out ok when there is nothing on the rack, but the weight of anything, even light dishes pushes the rack down making it difficult to pull out when you need to baste or check the temp of your food.
There is also a metal tray/sheet that sits on the bottom of both ovens, if it isn't applied correctly while the oven is heating the sheet itself warps a bit and makes a loud noise. Scared me the first few times I used it until I figured out the problem. If the sheet is secured appropriately, then this solves the problem. I realize this is user error, but perhaps the metal sheet should be higher quality to prevent this warping action when the stove heats up. Note: The sheet returns to its normal shape once it cools down and again does not appear to warp if it is secured to the bottom of the oven correctly.
The bottom rack of the bottom stove seems to burn foods pretty easily. This was solved by moving the rack up one, but seemed worth mentioning.
The oven seems to preheat fairly quickly compared to my old one, but I never really timed my old one so I'm not exactly sure if that is true.
Overall the ovens cook food the way they're supposed to.
- Usage/Stove
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the tilt open grates. It makes it easy for me to open the grates (once cool) to pick up dropped food or make quick wipe downs of the stove top. My old stove had three grates, if I wanted to do a quick wipe down I had to find a place to set the grate and I was always concerned they'd scratch our tables/countertops. These tilt open grates solve that issue!
I had read a review that said their countertops made it difficult to open the grates correctly and they were useless. Just make sure that when the stove is installed they correctly adjust the height. It's in the manual I think? The stove top itself (not the grates) should be level to your counter, then the grates will work perfectly even if you have snug fit like our stove does.
Note: Again user error issue. I did open the grate once while it was hot (using an oven mitt) and it fell open (off the hinge) onto my plastic cutting board that was next to the stove. Melting it. Yikes! Again this was user error on my part and I probably shouldn't have opened it while it was hot. Just a cautionary tale for other buyers. =)
My one complaint about the burners. The right side burners are too close together (the front and rear ones). My favorite pan is 12 inches. When I use that on the front burner, it's difficult to fit a smaller 10" pan on the back burner. I don't use all 4 burners frequently so this won't be a huge issue for me, but we will see once the holidays roll around and I'll be needing all four burners.
Overall, when using the stove it appears to heat my pan appropriately.
Given the minor quibbles as listed above, I cannot give his stove/oven 5 stars but I still love it and can see past these.

I was very determined to purchase a double gas range in our new kitchen remodel. We chose this unit as a nice reasonably priced option. I compared it to another manufacturer's model which was a bit more expensive, but chose this one because of the grate system on top. I love the convenience of the grates opening from the center and staying open to clean the range top. Huge plus!
Using just the top oven has been wonderful! I love not having to heat the whole unit to just heat a pizza or bake cookies. I can put one of the bottom oven racks in there too.
I have only used the bottom oven once maybe twice, and so far so good with that.
I primarily use the front two burners, but to my dismay when I went to use the small simmer burner in the back, it wouldn't light. It clicks, it lights with a match, but not on it's own. I am now working with Whirpool to get someone here to service it.
The timer shuts off after only 5 or 6 beeps (which are not very loud) which is not helpful.
Overall, I would say I am satisfied with this range. The true test will be getting through the holidays!
