I have been extremely pleased with this purchase. I bought this for a second home/rental and didn't want to spend a lot of money. The performance of this dishwasher far exceeds a MUCH more expensive model I had in the past. This dishwasher cleans extremely well.. my dishes and silverware come out sparkling..... It is very roomy and holds large items. Pots go right in with the dishes. It is super quiet (which is important since it does run longer - but more efficiently). I couldn't be more pleased.

We purchased this dishwasher last summer along with a whirlpool stove and overhead microwave because we remodeled our kitchen and wanted to have matching appliances. Now I wish we kept our old white dishwasher... What I like about this unit: It has a nice appearance, and I like the buttons being on the top of the door to prevent my son from pushing them. It is quiet too, I love not having to turn the tv volume up as the dishwasher is running. I also like the wash options and delayed start option. What I don't like: Our water pressure isn't that great, so I figured that was part of why this unit doesn't wash our dishes all that great, but then again, our old dishwasher cleaned great. All dishes need to be completely clean of any food remnants before going in, especially the silverware. This unit does not clean the silverware good at all in either the door or bottom drawer position. Also, the basket comes apart all the time when it is halfway full or the silverware isn't equally distributed, very annoying! Lastly, this unit started to smell within 3 months. I've used different types of cleaners and nothing works. We make sure dishes are free of any food going in , and after a day of holding dirty dishes, it smells completely rotten when you open the door. I miss our old beat up looking dishwasher that fully cleaned the dishes and never smelled. I rather have mismatched appliances than this smelly thing!

I brought this dish washer as an open box item in excellent condition. It didn't work and it's been a complete night mate trying to resolve the situation.

I bought this Whirlpool tall tub dishwasher to replace my 16-year-old top-of-the-line Maytag that stopped working. I've used my new dishwasher now for several months and I LOVE it! First of all, the tall tub stainless steel front is absolutely gorgeous in my kitchen. Secondly, the value was incredible - the best I found and I looked everywhere - and this machine cleans like a dream! I always used a delayed start for the middle of the night on my old dishwasher because it was so loud. This one is incredibly quiet. I can talk on the phone standing in front of it while it's running. My everyday dishes that were looking dingy without any shine now look shiny and new! Plus, I've decided to NOT replace my stainless steel flatware because it, too, has gotten shiny and newer looking as well. It took me a few loads to figure out the best way to load the racks but they're so user friendly and easy to configure. I'm REALLY glad I chose this Whirlpool and highly recommend it!

I love the looks of this dishwasher but there are two issues that you can't know by looking at it in the store. My dishes don't get clean by using the normal cycle. Tea or coffee doesn't get washed off my cups, which are white. There is always a brown stain left around the top of the inside of my cups. It only cleans when the scrubber option is used. Also, the top rack is very slanted where the glasses are loaded and they fall over unless braced by other dishes to hold them in place. I've had the dishwasher for one month and already broke two glasses. Not sure why it would be made like that but didn't notice it when I bought it. Takes two hours for a wash cycle.

The dishwasher arrived dented, and was never replaced.

First let me say this is the first new dishwasher in the last 8 years for us. I read alot of reviews and actually had chosen a different cheaper model. We got this on sale and cashed in reward zone, which made it a bargain and worth spending slightly more on. It had more features and said it was quieter than my researched model. Ok the wife wanted stainless front anyway. I was concerned about durability but hey thats why they have extended warranties. So far its been great. Extremely quiet. Being energy efficient it does take a while to finish a load. Like the fact that I can put the utensil rack anywhere including the door. I installed it myself with a limited amount of headaches. My dishwasher is more than 5 feet from sink requiring splicing 2 hoses together.

So far so good. Does what a dishwasher should do. Looks good, I like the buttons on the top so they're hidden. It was easy to install myself. It is a little loud, and the cycles can be long.

I purchased this dishwasher after careful consideration. I wanted a dishwasher with more room, and this one had the silverware holder on the door, so I thought that would give me the maximum amount of space. I decided that I didn't like the silverware holder on the door, so I was able to move it to hang on the outside of the lower rack. You can also position it within the lower rack. It is very quiet and has all the features I wanted. The only trouble I had was when I received it, it was missing a vital part. My plumber went to Best Buy and took this part off the display unit and everything worked fine after that. I also have to say that I applaud the staff at Best Buy. They were so helpful and knowledgeable that it really surprised me. I had been to every other appliance store in town, and Best Buy had the best prices and the best selection.

This is a great dishwasher. It cleans great, is quiet, and in overnight mode uses little energy. The only thing not so great is that the outside finish gets dirty easily (finger mark, water stains, etc.)

It is amazingly quiet, easy to load and does a great job of getting the dishes clean.

Bought this on sale. Great performance so far - as long as you have rinse aid. We don't really pre-rinse the dishes and mostly the dishes come out spotless...sometimes there are small things stuck on, but we attribute that mostly to our lack of pre-rinse plus trying to over-fill the dishwasher. Pretty quiet. Favorite feature is the top-rack wash, where we can still run the dishwasher without wasting water even if we only have enough items to fill the top rack.

CONS: Leaves some dishes wet even with rinse aid. Silverware basket not sturdy and does not accommodate large handled forks, spoons and knives. In addition it falls off easily. Only a four hour delay button. My previous model had 2 4 or 8. Handle does not sit well when tightened PROS: Quiet machine that does wash well. For the money a fair purchase.

We are in the process of changing over from white to stainless appliances...found this at a great sale price, Easy to install (took me about 30 mins) and looks great. Available functions have everything we need or want, and like the "ECO" settings too. Quieter than our old one also. The best thing...the people at Best Buy were absolutely FANTASTIC.

I purchased this machine about 4 months ago, and so far the performance is great. Super quiet, washes well (albeit a little long wash cycle) and overall a nice machine but the one big problem is the silverware basket. I love that it's in the door, but that's also why i hate it. I know that it can be moved to the bottom shelf, but that takes away from the space ( which there is plenty of). The 2 biggest problems is #1 they didn't move the soap dispenser high enough away from the silverware basket so nothing tall fits on that side. #2 is that there are individual slots to put your silverware in, which seems like a great idea, but not so much if you have silverware that has larger bottoms or fat handles that don't fit in the slots (ugh !) . To alleviate this you can either open the basket or use the middle, but if you want to use the basket as they designed it (to keep the silverware from bunching up thus getting cleaner) your silverware must fit in the slots. Not a deal breaker , but annoying. Other than that it's good. The handle seems like it might be coming loose again, but i will just tighten it. so, overall I'm happy with it. I would recommend it if it's at the top of our budget (like mine), or if you have other Whirlpool appliances you want to match. If however, you have a bigger budget, the GE Cafe is much nicer for about $900.

We have owned this dishwasher since early July of 2012. I replaced a 15-year-old contractor-grade Whirlpool unit that was still working well, but we had to wiggle the knob and open/shut the door a few times to get the water to start. I thought I would get a nice upgrade. Unfortunately, nearly every cycle now takes hours to complete (thanks to the EPA). There is no value to putting silverware in this dishwasher; anything that is stuck on before you run this unit is still stuck on afterwards. I can wash and dry everything in the sink faster and better than this thing has any hope of doing. But the worst thing about this unit is the poorly-designed rack-support system. We have heavy plates and heavy glasses. These are real dishes. When this dishwasher is fully loaded, one of the side rails will inevitably flex and fall off. So we have a choice: get plastic plates and cups, or run multiple loads. That takes half a day, double the water and double the electricity. And I still have dirty flatware. Anyway, this dishwasher gets a "1" because we will have to replace it - it has no value to us. We need a dishwasher that actually washes a full load of dishes, with a silverware basket that is more than just decoration.

I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about when complaining about it being loud. All I know is my kids had to ask if it was on when we started it the first time. And my biggest issue with the old one, I don't have to turn the volume up on our tv to be able to hear it while the d/w is running. When our old d/w was running, I had to turn the tv volume up from 15 to 21 to be able to hear. As for the reviews about the d/w not drying, read the manual. Its like our parents use to tell us, "if all else fails, read the instructions!" Page 3 under "Rinse Aid" states in the 1st sentence "Using rinse aid will optimize your drying and wash performance". If you missed it, page 6 also says the "d/w is designed to use rinse aid for good drying performance. Without rinse aid your dishes and d/w interior will have excessive moisture. The heat dry option will not perform as well w/out rinse aid". It would be nice to know this before purchasing since there is added expense. But its not too expensive and one bottle will last 160 washes.

Great Dishwasher! Stainless steel is the way to go!

I have had this a week so its not a comprehensive review but it cleans well, does not leave spots, and dry's rather well. I am only comparing from my previous 30 year old kitchenaid that came with the house. Bestbuy matched the price on this at 404.00 which was great with the free delivery and haul away provided you disconnect your old one. I think at around 4-500 this is a good buy but if I were spending 600+ I would have definately went with a higher end Bosch.

Our purchase experience with Bestbuy was exceptional. The online purchase was easy and the staff were helpful in seeing to it that we could pick up the washer at the earliest possible time. When the price had changed about a week later, we were cheerfully credited the difference. We were called by a Bestbuy Representative who assured us that the credit had been made, as well as an email stating that fact. We would recommend Bestbuy to anyone who is in the market for an appliance and desires the best price possible along with excellent customer service. Whirlpool however, is a different story. The machine came with a damaged door latch, which I understand is an on going problem. I contacted Whirlpool so I could get the part number. ( I figured that I would just pick one up and install it myself ), I was told that a parts list wasn't available to owners, and I would have to call one of their certified repairmen to do the job as it is under warranty. We waited two days for a guy to show up and tell us that he didn't have the part, and he would have to order one. He had the part shipped to our address, which took over a week, and installed it myself. The result was that we didn't have a dishwasher for 9 days, and I could have had it up and running the next day if I would have just went to a parts store and picked one up myself.
