The control board went out only afer 6 months of service. Not acceptable for a Whirlpool! Under warranty, but looking at other complaints on this unit, seems the control boards just go out at 250 a pop! Is this a isolated deal, not sure. Never had many problems with Whirlpool products but this could be the start of a lemon..not sure. Whirlpool sending out a tech to replace board but only 90 days warranty on part and not a new years worth. Oh well...stuck with it now.

Real modern dish washer! Great look in my kitchen. Everybody likes it.

Very disappointed with this dishwasher. It has never cleaned the dishes well. I have to wash them by hand before I load them in the dishwasher and then they don't come out dry even with selecting the heat dry cycle. We have also had multiple repairs on the unit after only a couple of years.

Couldn't have got a better product for the price!!

Worked great for four days. After four days the door refused to lock (click shut). I checked the mounting alignment - it was fine. I tried to gently close the door, no luck. I tried slamming the door shut, no luck. I called Whirlpool service to see if there was a trick to shutting the door. The service rep had me unplug the unit for a minute in order to reset the microprocessor. After that failed, they wanted to send a technician to my house to fix it. I said I would rather return it to Best Buy and purchase a different model. Another bothersome issue, the controls are on top of the door so you can't see where the unit is in its cycle or when its finished. the unit is so quiet you can't tell if its on or off. You have to open the door to see if the wash cycle is completed. I replaced this unit with a Whirlpool model WDF750SAYB. After a month, the door is fine and its convenient having the controls and indicator lights visible on the door.

This is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. As others have said, we've taken to hand washing silverware since it doesn't wash them unless they are already clean. Every dish has to be double checked before it's put away and there is always about 30% that need to be hand washed after going through the machine. It's less than a year old and as much as I hate to do it, we're going to have to buy a new one. I will NEVER buy a whirlpool again.

I have never used such a horrible dishwasher in my life. It looks great, it's sturdy, everything about it seems wonderful.. until you attempt to use it. I have read the manual and used "heavy", "high heat dry", even "hi temp wash" and "sani rinse"... and grief every time they come out wet (even days later) and half of the dishes are dirty (I pre-clean them too!!). Ridiculous.

Bought the whirpool due to all the positive reviews but it has been the worst appliance I have ever bought! I have owned better dishwashers as an poor student. Do not buy this product!
