    Great except for one thing

I've had this dishwasher for almost four months and I wanted to give it an excellent rating which it would have earned except for this one issue - the dishwasher soap, pod, pellet, etc. does not dissolve correctly! I've tried everything I can think of and will call the customer service people next and hope they can help. My water is hot enough and I have sufficient water pressure but the pod or pellet won't dissolve and when the cycle is done I have at least half of it messed all over the inside of the dishwasher and the dishes. This didn't happen initially so I can't explain this since I haven't changed anything. Other than that it is a really great dishwasher - gets things very clean, is SUPER quiet, and I really love the utensil holder now that I understand how it works. So much better than other kinds I have had.

Although it's just been recently intalled and we have only ran it once we cant review on durability, but what we can say that this machine is super quiet and cleaned the dishes very good came out sparkling clean. We bought on a friends recommendation as for they love theirs and have had no issues. The only complaint my wife had it does take awhile to run through normal cycle (couple hrs) but we'll work through that.

My overall review of this product is that I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Tons of room on the top shelf for tall drinking glasses and sports bottles. The utensil basket is on the door which makes plenty of room for large pots and pans on the bottom shelf. It is very quiet and easy to use.

    Whirpool Gold Dishwasher

Bought this dishwasher to replace an old whirpool. It was on sale for a great price. I was debating on this dishwasher, a Bosch, and another Whirpool. I read tons of reviews on all of them and finally decided to go with this one because of price and the fact that I loved my old Whirpool. Reviews were great on some sites and just ok on others. I have had the dishwasher a little over a week and I absolutely LOVE it. It cleans great and is so quiet. My old dishwasher was from 1995 so this one seems almost silent. Many people have complained about the silverware rack, but I actually like it because it has slots for each piece and it can be moved. I also read negative reviews about how it dries especially plastics. I have two young kids and use a lot of plastic cups, bowls, etc. and have had no problems. We do use the cascade rinse aid. The dishwasher seems to be built well and I like the controls on the front because it doesn't show as many finger prints. I lknow I haven't had it long but so farim completely impressed and so glad we bought this dishwasher.

I have never had a dishwasher before, so I really have nothing to compare it to, however, this dishwasher is so quiet, that I often will go into the kitchen just to see if it is still running. I have had for two weeks now and the dishes have come out clean and shiny everytime. My husband had to install it completely from start to finish as we did not have a dishwasher before. It took him a day to get it installed and that was with cutting out some of our cabintry to get it in. So far, the only complaint I have is that more of the silverware slots need to be larger to accomodate the larger ends. This was a dsplay model so we got this for about $100 less than what has been advertised, well worth the money!

This dishwasher is so quiet I don't even know when it is running. I have to put my ear up next to it to be sure. It cleans great. No more spots on the dishes or left over food. It is very easy to operate. Great value for a great product.

Great and quiet dishwasher at a great price

I wasn't sure which washer to get, there are just so many and even the really expensive dishwashers don't get great reviews from customers. But I will say I am thrilled with this washer. It has just enough choices for washing and really heats up to dry the dishes except for tops of containers with big wells in them on the top rack. This washer is so quiet that it is hard to believe it is running. Although I didn't know it had a filter to clean manually, I have to say it is no big deal. I just run hot water over both pieces and have not really seen anything but a little grease to be cleaned The only complaint I have had so for is that from time to time the bottom rack gets off kilter when you go to close it up. I keep the silverware on the bottom rack to the left side so it only takes the place of two plates and I think it cleans better there then on the door. I would say for two people with quests once in a while it is good sized but if you have a big family you would have to do two loads for dinner. I have had this for about a month now and we are very very pleased, plus within 30 days it went on sale twice and I got back $90.00 from the original price so go back to the web site to check price for 30 days.

Great product for the price. It's only been a month, but so far I'm impressed. It cleans and dries dishes really well, which were my main priorities. It's also very quiet. The dishes come out so dry and warm that you know they're sanitized. I wish the bottom rack was designed better for bowls & pots to stand more upright, but it's consistent with the style of most dishwashers. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the product.

    worked great for 5 washes...

This machine is ultra quiet, but after only 16 days and 5 washes it has quit working...I noticed standing water (bottom of machine completely full!) and now it won't drain, won't start, electrical hum is all I hear when I try to start it and then it shuts itself off. It does strange things like start and stop 5 times if you open door during wash cycle. Silverware basket really not a good design, flimsy, holds less than my old machine, very weird upper rack design, not able to fit coffe cups in side areas without tilting them or cocking them sideways. Otherwise, for the 5 washes I did get out of it, dishes were clean, weren't completely dry, but were clean. I like it, only wish it would work now...Repairperson coming Monday to look at it. This is the second purchase I have made from BestBuy/Pacific, first machine had a short and blew out sparks and smoke when first cycle was running, first wash. I will add more when repairs done, I really think this is isolated, but if not, I was told Whirlpool makes the best machines by repairmen that hauled away first machine that blew up. I have to say, what is up with our appliance industry??!! If it is fixed or replace, and I keep it, I will review it again after a few months use to be fair. Otherwise, at this time, I would not recommend this model right now. Whirlpool also makes KitchenAid. I don't like KitchenAid at all...would probably have not made this purchase if I knew that beforehand. KitchenAid build it's products in Mexica, so far, I can't find anywhere on this dishwasher that says where it was built. I hope it was the U.S.A, but then again, with this type of quality, maybe not...

My old dishwasher was so loud that we couldn't run it when we were at home. Now we run the dishwasher right after dinner while we are still sitting around the kitchen table talking! Almost hard to tell if it is running it is so quiet. Dishes come out SPARKLING. The only downside (minor) is that if you are using eco mode, wash/dry times are around 3+ hours.

Just replaced our 30-year old Kenmore

We just bought it to replace our 30-year old Kenmore dishwasher (it still worked but just couldn't clean well if not scrub the dishes first). Here over 90% people recommended this product but I still had a little concern that 4% of people said it's a worse product. Now I may think they are unlucky to get the lemon ones or they didn't use it properly. I tried 3 different wash cycles (Eco, Normal and 1-hour wash) and the dishes all came out clean. It's much better to put rinse agent so that it can dry the dishes throughout. The interior dries well too. We got this during the promotion of 4th of July so it was on sale $499 plus $29.9 for haul away and installation, we also bought 5-year protection plan. And if your old dishwasher is Kenmore, you can get an extra $50 (gift card). People did talk about Best Buy installation service is the worst. Since we bought it at the store, everything seemed smooth and fine. After the staff at Best Buy made the appointment, we got a call from the Installation service next day to confirm the appointment. They came over here to haul away our Kenmore dishwasher and installed this new one. It only took less than an hour to finish it. They cleaned up everything after that. The installation technician called Randy and he's nice. Our experience is pretty good. Will keep you update if there is any problem later on. (Hope not)

My old dishwasher was a builder’s grade whirlpool dishwasher that had a decibel noise level of 70dBA. There was no way you could have a conversation in the kitchen when that thing was running. I installed this dishwasher and what a world of difference; I could hardly hear it when it started. This unit was very easy to install but it does take a special 90-degree hose adapter that you won’t know is required until you get home and read the directions for installation. The adapter is not expensive only around $4 but it would have been nice to know it was needed before I left the store. So far I have run the dishwasher about six times and I’ve had no problems with getting clean dishes. The only thing I will say is if you have any plastic bowls or cups they may not be as dry as the rest of the dishes but they are still clean. So far I love this dishwasher and it looks great.

I bought this dishwasher to replace another Whirlpool which started to leak from the plastic tub. I am very satisfied, this unit is Quiet, stainless steel tub,and has many different cycles. It also has a dryer option (heating element) which many of the other energy saving dishwashers no longer have. Completely satisfied - NYBill

Nothing too much wrong with old machine. Mainly very noisy and not very earth friendly (very long cycle) . Very happy with how quiet this machine is and also dishes, especially silverware comes out much cleaner in less time.

Before purchasing this dishwasher we researched our options. In accordance with what we read, this is a nice dishwasher for the financial investment. Simple to use with very straight-forward options. However, it is the first washer I have ever had that left the dishes and the interior wet. I have never HAD to use an additive before but I have purchased some to try and see if it will help. The washer is very quiet and cleans well.

Just upgraded from an 18 year-old model to their new one. Very pleased with the extra space... seems they have learned a thing or two about how to do it right. In their older model, the motor... etc was not only larger but mounted higher up in the cabinet. Also, the water flow system used to go up in the center of the racks, taking away this center space for dishes. This unit has a smaller motor. It, and the pump system, are built lower in the cabinet and no water flow pipes or sprayers go through the racks. The result is you have tons more room. A great design! This unit is also very quiet. It takes a longer time to wash dishes (up to 3 hrs) but that is because of the smaller motor. In the long run, they say this saves you running costs. Hope so. So far... VERY HAPPY.

This review is probably heavily biased because I despised my previous dishwasher, from day one, when it was still brand new. Compared to my old GE, this dishwasher is amazing. I love it so much I wrote a poem about it! I think that I shall never see A dishwasher as fine as thee No longer do I scrub in vain Yea, never will I scrub again Unsurpassed your washing skill Every single bit of swill Washed away and down the drain Yea, never will I scrub again.

This is your next diswasher. When you pull the bottom rack out ,it has a double wheel setup. This perfect to roll across the open gap between door and unit. Does not fall in the gap. Tried the very high end models single wheel and flies off the door as indent is too shallow, this unit captures perfect. Bottom rack holds a ton of dishes ,a little tricky for pots and pans but will suffice. Steel interior for long wear again great. Install yourself go to local big box store ,power cable 3 wire and a single splice for your water line your done!3 months now no problems so waited this long to write review! You will not be disappointed!
