It is much quieter than the Kenmore it replaced. The SS tall tub was on my list and it has lived up to expectations. The only thing I am not wild about is the silverware rack in the door. It has good capacity, but the door needs to be at an angle to load/unload without items comiing out AND a tall item can block the soap dispenser. These are minor things though

I bought this as a replacement for another unit. It fit the hole perfectly. It is super quiet. and washes well. The only complaint is that large plates don't stand up straight in the bottom rack. Could be the just plates that I have.

Every time I open this dishwasher,I say the same thing. "I can't believe how clean this thing gets the dishes!" Sparkling clear glasses. When I turn it on, I have to look to see if it's running. That's how quiet it is. I use the cakes but I also use liquid Jet Dry with them even though the cakes say they have it in there. I have never been more satisfied with an appliance than this one.

This dishwasher runs very quietly and does an excellent job of cleaning. There's lots of space for dishes and the silverware holder can either be left in the tub area or slipped into a space built into the door if more loading space is needed. The slots in the cover for the silverware holder didn't fit our large handled silverware very well, but a little modification did the job. We are very happy, especially considering the price that we paid as compared to other Stainless Steel tub units.

Dishwasher does a good job of cleaning almost anything, with the exception of very large pots or pans, which I usually hand wash anyway. Very quiet.

I've had this machine for about 8 months now, and would recommend it. The drying feature works well on porcelains, glass, etc., but like just about every other dishwasher out there, plastics (tupperware, bowls) will still retain moisture. But that's just par for the course with a dishwasher. I'd highly recommend this product.

I thought I was ordering the model above this one, but when best buy offered to adjust my price I decided to keep it. So far it has been a terriffic dishwasher.

Yeah, the racks are as useful as pile of dog ****. Go ahead and try washing long stem ware in the top. If you use real wine glasses, forget it, it isn't happening in this dishwasher. Try putting them in the bottom rack, oh, look it doesn't work there either. Try manipulating the bottom rack to accommodate large pots and pans, nope! Not gonna happen in this dishwasher. Silverware? Yeah, you have to leave those till the end to load. I hope you didn't invest in nice silverware either, because the handles won't fit in the slots for them. The engineers failed on all accounts with this dishwasher. Glad I saved the bottom rack from my last dishwasher. It is definitely more useful than this poorly designed piece of junk.

I read many reviews before purchasing this dishwasher and was expecting a dishwasher that was relatively quiet and cleaned slightly soiled dishes. However, I've found the dishwasher will only clean slightly dirty dishes on the heavy cycle. I've tried the normal and sensor options and the dishes do not come out clean. The sound is about the same as my previous low-end whirlpool dishwasher (which was about 7 years old). I'm not sure how others said they couldn't hear it running as its certainly loud enough to know its running. The decibel ratings were similar among models, however, I would not recommend this one if looking for a quiet dishwasher. The prongs and shelves are not adjustable at all with this model. Some of the less expensive whirlpool and older models have adjustable shelves, which are convenient, but to me, not a necessity. Overall, just an okay dishwasher. For the price, I think there are better options available. I've owned the dishwasher for 2 months and haven't had any issues.

Good investment and completes the job with only minor problems.

Love this dishwasher! Only think I don't like, which is not that big of a deal, is the flatware basket location. I would rather it not be on the door.

The dishes do not come clean, even after wiping and rinsing well - I almost hand wash them first. Instructions say for best results run hot water to tap. That didn't work either, glasses are smudgy with visible dirty residue. The door is heavy and stiff, there's no latch, the utensil basket is too tight none of my silverware fits and its too small. The tines do not allow bowls to fit in the bottom rack. The control panel is easy to use, but tricky to understand. My old dishwasher was noisy, but washed the dishes well, even if over-loaded with dried food. I am very disappointed in Whirlpool this time. Even after following all the instructions carefully the dishes still come out dirty and smudgy and we have soft water and I pre-rinse first... but true, it is very quiet. They discontinued this model and now I know why, ... because it's a terrible design that doesn't do the job and now I'm stuck with this whirlpool monster. Very unhappy because I spent extra money to buy a nicer more expensive unit for the quiet feature, but I didn't want dirty dishes :(

I have not seen or used this dishwasher. It was purchased to replace the one in our house which currently is rented out. The tenant seems very, very pleased with the product.

After reading all the great reviews I had very high expectations for this dishwasher. Unfortunately, I was wrong. My family would rather have our 8 year old dishwasher back because it actually washed our glasses. With this dishwasher, I have streaks or soap residue on all my glasses using the top rack. I am using Cascade and Jet dry and still get streaking or soap film on my glassware. My silverware wouldn't be clean after a cycle. I have had to purchase another utensil rack for the bottom and removed a section of the utensil rack because the soap would fall into the compartment and not fully dissovle. This would also occur with the original utensil rack. I don't think I should have to "re-engineer" how the properly use of the dishwasher. I should just be able to load the machine, push start, and get clean dishes, glasses and silverware. I also don't think I should have to rewash my glassware/silverware after it has been run through a 2-3 hour cycle. So disappointed!

I bought this dishwasher because of the excellent reviews. I am sadly disappointed in the performance of this dishwasher. First is the design of the top and bottom baskets. I haven't been able to figure out how best to place dishes because the top basket prongs don't allow uniform placement of bowls or dishes so I just have to lay dishes in the basket in a random order. The bottom basket is just straight prongs so it is hard to place different types of pans/skillets. The silver ware tray has large holes between the different compartments so the silverware has the tendency to slide through into the next compartment making it difficult to retrieve. As to the washing function, the water spray is very low pressure so if I don't wash off any food before washing there is a good chance that it will still be there when the wash cycle is done. I would not recommend this dish washer.

I spent a lot of money on this dishwasher and am aggravated that it always leaves several items dirty. No matter what setting is used it simply does not clean all the dishes. I wish I had our old beat up dishwasher back.....it cleaned the dishes.
