Customers are delighted by the Duet 4.2 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer's cleaning performance, quiet operation, and ease of use. Many appreciate its large capacity and effective spin cycle, resulting in clothes that are nearly dry after washing. While some users noted minor issues with the door and control panel sensitivity, the overwhelmingly positive feedback points to a highly satisfactory user experience.

Quiet, works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This whirlpool seems to be up to par with the Samsung we owned prior to it. Washes well and is just as quiet if not more so than our old washer.

Delivered and installed quickly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this washing machine a month ago, no issues so far. Clothes wash fine and quietly. Delivery from BB was done for free but had to buy the hoses from BB. Worth it for me since they installed and remove the old machine. And the installation is guaranteed by BB. Only quirk was that the machine went 125$ cheaper 28 days later but the price match only covers 15 days.

Great product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We had a Whirlpool Duet washer for 11 years before the control panel went out on it. That was the only problem we ever had. We have had our new washer now for a month and it's worked just fine. We still have our Duet dryer that was purchased 11 years ago with the original washer and we also have never had a problem with it.

Watch for leaking from the door
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having this item for a month I'm already on my second washer. First washer was delivered and after running it through the initial cycle with nothing in it there was a huge puddle of water on the floor underneath the door. After researching online this seems to be a fairly common occurrence with this model. I decided to give this model one more try since it did have good reviews. So far the new one has not leaked at all and does a great job of cleaning my little kids stained clothes. Noise level is on the louder side, especially when water is running through the detergent tray, but if you have it in the basement or laundry room with a door to close it shouldn't be a problem. Small articles of clothing do get stuck in the rubber between the drum and the door, however, all the front loading washers I've encountered have this problem. Overall, decent entry-level front loader from Whirlpool.

Less Bells & Whistles Whirlpool Front Loader
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's the entry level Whirlpool front loader washer that Best Buy carries. I am a Maytag person, Maytag is now made by Whirlpool. The only difference between the 2 names is the name tag on the machine. All models of Whirlpool Duet front loaders are made the same, it just depends on how many bells and whistles you want on the machine. This machine is louder than any Maytag I have owned in the past. The thing I do not like is the fact that as soon as you pour your laundry detergent into the compartment and slide the drawer into the machine, the detergent starts leaking into the wash tub. I have just learned that I don't add detergent until I am absolutely ready to turn on the cycle.

No complaints
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far, so good. I've stacked the units and it's nice to have the extra room. You have to bend down pretty good to empty the thing out without it being on a pedestal though. I like it- seems to use a lot less water than a top loader. It really wrings the clothes out good too -less drying time.

Totally Happy with it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ever since we had to get rid of our old front loader, my wife has wanted a new one. We had a high efficiency top loader, but she didn't like it. We finally checked into the Whirlpool, and decided to go with it. We made the right choice. No complaints about noise or vibration. Ours runs smooth and quiet. I like the fact that if I need to, we can get parts from the U. S. We DID get the full warranty protection, just in case we run into any issues a few years down the road. [ I don't normally buy these, and hope we don't have to use it.] This machine doesn't use much water, but still gets everything clean. We leave the door open after use to allow it to dry out, and not create any mildew or other odors. It's not a problem; small price to pay for a washer that we really like.

Great product Excellent price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing! Who would have thought it? You put your dirty undergarments in the hole put your soap in and push go. Hour later I got clean cloths! Now mom don't have to go down to the crick and beat them old rocks. A great time to be alive! Honestly a great product at a fair price!

Runs smooth, mostly quiet, lacks window trim
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine runs very quiet except for the drain pump, which seems unnecessarily loud. You can store your wine glasses on this thing even on the spin cycle, though. Very impressive. Missing some features that would seem elemental; like a mute for that wake-the-dead end-of-cycle alarm, and no cycle labeled "whites." Luckily I know how to wash those without a special dial position to illuminate my path. Lots of people say these washers are junk. Mine isn't. Your mileage may vary. I wouldn't be afraid of this washer in any case. Much recommended!
