I love Every Drop water filters! I live in the country and use well water. It’s safe, but mineral rich. My Every Drop water filter removes the funky mineral elements and makes my water clean AND tasty.

Standard item, easy to install. These have become outrageously expensive over the years to the point where a replacement water filter is now about 6% - 7% of the price of a new appliance. I don’t think the appliance manufacturers actually make these so it’s quite a handsome cottage industry for someone else. With these price points I can see people deferring this maintenance, which I suppose indirectly benefits the appliance manufacturers eventually. If you sign up for discounted ones it’s an ongoing subscription you have to remember to cancel.
