great classic movie. bought it to prepare for the disney plus series. stinks disney ruined it as they have a great knack for doing to old content these days.

Love it! I've been waiting to own Willow on DVD for a long time even better it came a day early

This is one of those movies that seems to either be known, forgotten, or vaguely remembered. The story can be compared to Star Wars as far as the classic 'hero origins' tale, or because of its fantasy setting, Lord of the Rings. There are plenty of parallels to be drawn with the tropes that often remind you of something that most movies these days try to 'mimic' in terms of authenticity. Yet, for something from 1988, it's definitely one of the better films out there. I was skeptical seeing Val Kilmer in a movie like this, but he has easily become one of my favorite characters as the swordsman Madmartigan. Warwick Davis, having known him through other shows like Life Is Too Short, movies like Star Wars Return of the Jedi, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Harry Potter, easily shows his earlier talents here as the main character Willow. For people who like Lord of the Rings, Labyrinth, or any other '80s fantasy-themed show, I recommend this one if you're interested in seeing a setting that doesn't rely too much on special effects, and instead opts for the old-fashioned puppetry and practical effects. As for the packaging, it's the standard blu-ray case with a paper containing the code for use with Vudu. The movie itself comes with some pretty neat features, such as deleted scenes that didn't make the original cut of the movie, to a commentary track by Warwick Davis.

Love this movie. Great add to the collection. Super happy with the purchase at a solid price.

Children of the 90s will recognize this family-friendly fantasy story from creators Ron Howard and George Lucas. This anniversary edition is long overdue as it was previously only available as a low quality DVD. I'm surprised by how the movie has held up over the past 30 years. The story is a classic swords and sorcery adventure. Warwick Davis, known for his sidekick roles in numerous scifi and fantasy films, takes center stage as the titular hero Willow. He is joined by a young Val Kilmer, as crazy swordsman Madmartigan, in a quest to protect a baby from the evil queen Bavmorda. Special features focus on the storytelling and special effects, which were cutting edge for their time. This release includes an HD digital copy redeemable from Movies Anywhere.

This was my favorite movie as a kid and still is to this day! The music, action, story-- everything about it fueled my young imagination and, in many ways, shaped my tastes going forward. But as an adult I wondered how I would view it now, would it hold the same appeal now as it did to a much younger me? The answer is a resounding YES! Not only did it bring a surge of nostalgia, but I noticed aspects of the film as an artform that I had never paid attention to as a child, and I have a renewed appreciation for the film, the actors, and especially for Ron Howard. Fantastic movie!

With Disney plus pulling the show I decided to give it a watch. I got hooked into the universe and to my surprise Best Buy had it for pretty cheap. On top of a coupon i had from the store I was able to get the movie for almost nothing. Pick up was easy as always and now I get to enjoy the movie.

I haven't seen willow since I saw it as a kid when it came out in theaters. I didn't know much about it, but I remember being mesmerized and glued to the screen. This transfer of the movie is great! I just hope they bring it to 4k, which I think they will. I hope they have more special features. They must, because I remember watching behind the scenes of this movie in the early 1990s somewhere; I'm thinking the TV show "Movie Magic" when it was on Discovery Channel or maybe another channel.

I was thrilled to find out that this film was finally getting a bluray re-release. It had a brief bluray release some years back, but it was a small run of them and I never was able to find one. This is such a great film, and it deserves to be viewed in the best quality available. My only negative comment about this item is that I am not in love with the artwork, and was kind of hoping for a slipcover or steelbook, but I'm happy to be able to enjoy it on bluray and digital.

Good classic basic entertainment. Good guys, bad guys, good guys wins. I want to be entertained when I watch a movie. So tired of the "new" crap Hollywood thinks is entertainment. In MHO, the new stuff is just garbage and I won't spend my money on any of it.

This is a definite must buy blu ray for anyone who is a fan of the film. I missed picking up the original blu ray release and then couldn’t find it for less than $60 online. Needless to say I purchased it the minute I saw it on the shelf. I checked some video reviews that stated this version had improved picture and sound. After watching it myself, I can honestly say that it’s true and the improvements are easily noticeable. Don’t pass this blu ray up!

Great, classic movie for a great price. The odds of this movie ever being released on 4k UHD physical media is next to none, so I’d grab this if you like the movie and prefer a physical copy over digital.

Great storyline! Its fun watching the real love bloom between Val Kilmer and the Beautiful Redhead he married after they completed the film!

This is a great movie! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I have loved this movie since it first came out. It was my first fantasy adventure movie and got me hooked. It's a great movie for the whole family. I can't believe it has been 30 years since it came out. If you haven't seen this movie I would recommend that you watch it you won't be disappointed!

This is such a fun adventure movie, back when they made movies to be entertaining without agendas. Great cast, good humor and action.

I waited 5 years for this to come back into print since it was only on shelves for what seemed like a few months during the 25th anniversary. This disc is identical to the print they put out a few years back but also includes the expected digital copy. One of my all time favorites and the quality of the video and audio is just as good.

I'm so glad Disney finally released this film on Blu-Ray for new audiences. The film is usually one of the overlooked titles in the Lucasfilm library. This release appears to be a simple repackaging of an older release, but I'm fine with that. The film follows the fantasy formula to a fault, but it still provides a healthy dose of fun and memorable characters such as Warwick Davis as the titular hero Willow, Val Kilmer as Madmartigan and Joanne Whalley as Sorsha. If you're looking for a good family movie with plenty of action, this is a film to consider.

I'm so happy this movie has finally been re-released. I didn't have a copy for myself and there has never been one available online. Watching this movie in HD on my television was amazing, the picture looks great and the sound quality is perfect. It really brought back a lot of old memories and happy feelings! Great Movie!

Willow is celebrating its 30th anniversary with this reissue of the Blu-ray previously long out of print. The movie looks terrific and sounds great too. There are some great moments in this fast moving story and Val Kilmer and Warwick Davis are awesome! Glad it's available once again. Scoop it up now and watch it with friends!

This movie is always one of the most cherished films I remember growing up. It was great to be able to find a copy on DVD a while back to share with my children. I had to take that the opportunity to get it on Blu-ray and digital to add to our family collection. It still delivers great adventure and a fun watch today.
