The installation for the air conditioner I purchased was not as installations in the past. I was given a window of 8 AM to noon, but they didn't arrive until after 2 PM. I was also told they would take away the old air conditioner, but they said they don't do that. I had to provide a ladder for them and they didn't seem to know how to proceed. The price for installation was much more than I've ever seen and the service was not worth the price. Unfortunately, I had to have it professionally installed as I'm disabled and can't do it myself, but I would caution others who want to use this service.

The installation went very smooth. She did a very good job. Very efficient and knowledgeable. I am very satisfied with the installation. Oh and they were on time within the time frame. Would recommend their geek squad.

installed my 12000 btu a/c with little effort. i purchased the bracket but they told me i didn't need it and i could return it - also a win, as they didn't just install something i didn't need. awesome, friend and efficient - notified me before they arrived and cleaned up when they were done.

First, let me talk about the actual installers. They were FANTASTIC. Great job; friendly, quick, and professional. Got the job done with no trouble and cleaned everything up before leaving. I'd have them back in my home any time.
Now let's talk about the SCAM part. Best Buy knows very well that this is not an amateur install job. It's a large AC unit running on 240 V, and in fact, the manual for the air conditioner expressly says that this AC unit requires professional installation.
On the website, BEFORE buying, Best Buy says, "Once you buy, we can set up a time to install it." AT NO TIME do they mention that this installation will cost money (a large chunk of it, compared to the purchase price of the unit).
When I complained about this to Best Buy's customer service rep, while setting up the install, she ADMITTED that the language of the website was misleading. Hey, Best Buy: when your own agents admit that you are misleading customers on your website, you've got a problem.
It is a violation of consumer protection law and of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) to advertise a service as included with the purchase of a product (and YES, that includes implying it is included and only revealing the truth after the purchase) and then charge a fee—a HIGH fee, at that—for the service. I will be filing a formal complaint with the BBB and possibly filing suit to recover the cost, since the DTPA also provides for treble actual damages, plus exemplary damages, plus attorneys' fees. Maybe a hefty exemplary damages award will convince Best Buy not to cheat their customers with false advertising.

The install were fantastic but Best Buy has been a nightmare to deal with. They don’t know what they’re doing and customer service has been horrible! They’re chanced the total tech to no cover installation and dropped it $20 yearly and I’ll be dropping it before renewal date. I’m luck they still have to install because I purchased it before the change but any new customers would get the best benefit and after you renew it you’ll get the scam version. I’m
