    Better than an old antenna

We replaced my parents old antenna (not sure how old, but old enough to be getting some corrosion on the connections) with this antenna, and they do get a few new stations that they didn't get before. The signal also tends to come in better than it did before. They had one of the major networks pixelating and cutting out before, but now that only really happens on windy/rainy days. Everything seems to be working better. I do want to mention the Bluetooth link to see how many channels you are getting. While this might save you a little time over setting the antenna and scanning for channels on the TV, you can't really trust what the app is telling you. When we were setting it up, I tried the app to see the channels coming in, and you can just see a number for how many are good, moderate, or weak. Based on the app, we should be getting 90 channels. The TV sees about 40... Don't trust the numbers. Further, it doesn't show you networks, just a number of channels, so if you are trying to get a particular network to come in better, you'll still have to go with trial and error.

With every company wanting 60 to 80 dollars a month to stream local channels, decided to give the over the air antenna a try. Installation is simple, hook it up to your tv, download the app and start moving it around until you get the max number of stations. The app tells you how many stations as well as the signal quality. We live 20 miles outside a medium sized city and picked up 44 channels including all the networks. Excellent quality on the picture. Once you find the best location, use the attached stickers to place it where you want. That's it, no cost locals with great picture and sound quality. Highly recommend.

    Really smart indoor antenna

Setup for this power antenna is very easy. I downloaded the Winegard Connected app, plugged the antenna in to power, then used the wizard in the app to pair it to my phone and then moved the antenna around in my house to find the most channels. The most difficult part of the process to find the best place for the antenna is that you have to unplug it from one location and then plug it into another. Obviously the best places are usually near the walls of your house toward the direction of the tv towers. If you look at the map on the app you will see the direction of the towers. I live in a rural area and the app found 21 channels very quickly. I used the included command tabs to hang the antenna behind a mirror in my bedroom and then connected the cable to my tv. I then ran the channel search on my tv and it found the same 21 channels. All 21 had good reception on my tv even though some were shown on the app as marginal.

Pretty good indoor antenna! Was able to get a good signal on most channels, but a couple still get some blocks here and there. I downloaded and registered the recommended app which gives three colors of signal strength. Honestly, going on AntennaWeb and finding the direction angle to aim helped a bit more though (I'm 39 miles from the towers). Overall happy with it considering its an easy to install indoor antenna!

Right idea, but where's the boost?

Winegard - PureTV Pro 60 - Indoor Smart Amplified HDTV Antenna is a serviceable product, but don't expect "better" reception than similar type of indoor antennas. The concept of the mobile app is on the right track to help with placement of the antenna to get optimal positioning. As you move the antenna around, the app gives you and indication of how many channels you are receiving and whether or not you have a good signal on the channels. This only provides a numeric value on number of channels and not an indication of how strong a signal is for certain channels. So if you are having trouble with viewing a certain channel, the mobile app doesn't tell you if the new placement has helped you out. You still need to temporarily tape the antenna and go to your TV to test that all of the channels you want are coming through. It doesn't seem like it works very well omni directionally, placement on which way the antenna is important, which could limit your placement areas. I currently have this antenna placed in my lower level which I had previously encountered issues with channel 11 with similar antennas. The signal "Booster" really didn't pick up anything additional based on antenna location. So, there was a bunch of trial and error needed to find an optimal spot to broadcast all my local network channels. Fortunately the coaxial cable is fairly long that gives you a little room to work with. The fact that a five foot location directional placement turns a blank screen to clear reception tells me that that there is no omni direction or boosting of reception. I must say however that once an ideal location has been found, as long as you tape antenna to the wall, your signal will remain consistent. The little installation tab provided, I don't feel does a good job of keeping the antenna flush or prevent any movement. So if you must use tape, then keep that in mind if your placement is out in the open. I would venture to guess that you would have better luck finding a signal in an upper level and less walls to go through. This doesn't beat a solid outdoor antenna, but it also isn't expose to the outdoor elements that can mess up your signals. A serviceable product, just nothing mind blowing as far as any advanced technology. Whether or not I recommend it would be based on person's ability to install outdoor antenna or location from the local networks.

This antenna seems to be as good as other indoor antennas. Outdoor antennas mounted high up will always be better. Where this setup accels is in the Bluetooth module and app. Once connected to your phone it really helps position the antenna. Many TV's don't have a signal strength meter and that makes it a pain to get a good signal. (The lag is so horrible that when you get a good picture, you've already moved It!) Put your phone where you can see it and then start the dance with the antenna. Wineguard only includes 3M tape to mount. I would have preferred to see a couple mounting holes. A hole punch can solve that as you can see where the element is on the white side. It is a nice upgrade compared to unamplified antennas. Anything that can help pull in a good signal dealing with these finicky digital broadcasts is great!

    Set-up was a challenge

The hardest part of the set up was trying to register the product through the app online, no perfect match from the antenna to the literature. Had to use online chat, got it to work. I have had three other antennas in the past, this has worked just as good as they have. Distance away from a station determines your reception, weather affects reception. People moving in the house will also affect your reception. If you live in the city less that 30 - 40 miles from a station this will probably be great. The further away you are the less results you will get. We live rural, not the greatest for us.

There’s not a lot one can say about an antenna. Essentially it works, or it doesn’t. Not only does the Pro 60 work, it works very well! I cut cable over two years ago, switching to an indoor antenna on my three TVs. My main criterion was that I be able to get at least my three local network channels, along with other available over the air stations. All was good until a few months ago when I lost the NBC affiliate, my main source for news and weather. When I saw a writeup about the new Winegard Pure TV Pro 60, I had to give it a try. As a plus, Wingard has been making antennas for a long time. The Pro 60 affords 4k UHD (8k ready) viewing, an effective amplifier, and Bluetooth. Two of my TVs are 4k UHD, so I can attest to this antenna’s performance. Set up is easy. The only real task is locating the spot to hang the antenna for the best signal, which should indicate how easy it really is. There is an app that is supposed to assist with the installation, including best signal location. Thankfully, as mentioned, it wasn’t my first installation experience, because the app is pretty much useless, hence the terrible ratings it has received in Google Play Store. Anyone not afraid to connect the antenna cable to the TV and plug in the power cord can do the installation. It’s no biggie, and the result is great tv viewing with no ongoing monthly cable fees. The only fee associated with the antenna is the one-time purchase price; and, for what you get, and for what you save ongoing, the purchase price is a bargain. I have no hesitation in recommending the Winegard Pro 60. In fact, because it is so great, I now plan to replace the antennas on my other TVs with Pro 60s.

This product was so easy to set up and use. The app is easy to download and navigate, making it easy to get access to many local channels. I was surprised how quickly I was able to set up this antenna, and how light and flexible it was.

It's not what I expected. It's thin and light so you can stick it and stays there. You have to use the power supply and the coaxial cable is short. It was annoying to have to get an extension so that both cables which are conjoined reach their locations. I couldn't get the app to sync with the antenna . The channels had a lot of interference. My cheap antenna did a better job. I wouldn't recommend this for the price its at.

The reception is great. The only thing I don’t like is where I had to put it to get that reception. I don’t like having a cord stretched across the wall but I guess I’ll trade that for good reception on my tv.

I needed to get an over the air antenna, because Direct Tv continues to hold its customers hostage by taking local channels off for months at a time, so I got online to get a real antenna that I could count on. Although this product was a bit more costly than some others, the app made it sound so much easier to set up. Anytime a product claims simple setup, I struggle...Until I set this up!! It seriously took less than ten minutes to connect and set the antenna in the optimal position. The app is better than advertised for finding the correct place to position the antenna too. It really was simple. The only issue I had was with my own tv, because it was never set up to receive over the air tv. That took me a minute to realize that I had to go to the tv settings to set that part up. All in all I am very happy with the purchase.

Connected the antenna to my smartphone via Bluetooth and followed the instructions in the Connected App. Moved the antenna from wall to wall in my bedroom while watching signal levels on the app. Found the location with the most channels, mounted the antenna and then connected it to the TV. The built in tuner gave accurate signal levels for each channel. Much better experience than the other "non-smart" antenna I had previously.

I purchased this antenna so I could remove local channels from my satellite package and save the monthly fee. Setup was simple, I placed the antenna on the North side of room where I thought would be closest to towers and within a few seconds the app proved I was wrong. I then went to the East wall and the app said 26 channels including FOX, NBC, CBS and ABC. I mounted in the window, attached to TV and ran channel scan and was done. I would say the signal finder feature prevented a return, not sure I would have tried the East wall after getting 0 channels on North wall.
