    I regret buying it for the sake of extending the wifi signal strength needed for my cameras. The result was paltry! Negligible extending results rendered my most distal camera unreliable for which this product was to have remedied.

      If you’re experiencing difficulty connecting the extender to your router, we recommend setting up the device in the same room as your router, then relocating it after setup is complete. We also suggest re-verifying your router’s Wi-Fi password during setup, or if using the WPS setup method, ensuring the WPS process is performed in the correct order.     I was happy that setup was dead simple. Instructions were pretty well-written and easy to understand. The unit is fairly attractive and doesn't look like a wart on my living room. So far, after a few weeks, this extender is getting the job done, making my network reliably accessible from the garage.

    After months of aimless research... Long story. The Wifi is in my home office, the RV is on the opposite side of the house. I was trying to figure out a way to get TV reception to it for when people came to visit and chose to sleep in the RV. I put in a new Roku TV and a new antenna on the roof of the RV but still not luck. I am not tech knowledgeable even though I am the tech person in home and I didn't want to invest a small bank roll for the limited use needed. Finally I decided to try this $30-$40 little gadget. I could always return it. Turned out not only did it reach out to the motor home but it made all the Wifi better in house. (only 1500 square foot home but still). My bedroom TV after updating Wifi went from Good to Excellent. Now guests can watch free TV. I did not find the directions that helpful, mainly because everyone has different Wifi and I don't know if they are to simple or not detailed enough but I found Youtube instructions that walked through it in detail and was actually very simple. You do have to log on to get it to work but that went off without a hitch. If you are just looking for that boost to something that is almost getting the wifi, I would say give it a try.

    This is foolproof to set up. Just plug it in, hit the reset button on your router and this unit's reset button and you're done. It is transparent to the receiving device......no new network to sign into or anything. Great ! However, I have no means of measuring the perdormance improvement, so I'm glad that it is so easy to use.

    I purchased this extender in order to get internet on our computer that was on the opposite side of the house compared to where the cable company set up our router. The repeater works well, and the signal stays strong throughout the house (and outside which helps when I use Spotify while doing yard work)!

    Boosts my signal significantly, and set up was a breeze: 1) Plug it in near the router 2) Push the WPS button on the router 3) Push a button on the device 4) Move the device to a location where there is some signal and that is closest to where you need a signal boost. It took 5 minutes at most.

    Tried to connect with my MacBook Pro to AirPort router. Nothing but problems, online help was not helpful and tech support person was almost impossible to understand due to heavy accent. After wasting four hours trying to connect this lousy thing I'm taking it back.

    Range quoted at 10k or 11k square feet (grossly overstated). The extender has to be relatively close to the wireless a/c router to connect with all green lights (disappointing). Speed drops tremendously with distance from device also. It is less than $40. Would like to return and upgrade to a more powerful TP-Link Extender.
