I am getting around 15 days of battery life. My usage is quite aggressive for Notifications and Health Tracking. I keep it on my wrist all the time. Health Tracking is good. The looks of the watch are also really good.

What a well built product!! If you don’t want a square smartwatch… and want something that actually looks like a regular watch, but still have it track heart, steps, oxygen etc, this is an ideal match!!

I bought this watch and will be returning it. I bought this watch for its looks, battery life health features and the awesome Withings app. I have used the app for years with my Withings scale, which I love. I knew that the watch did not have GPS I which was not a dealbreaker. However given the size of the watch, there is no reason why they couldn’t have included GPS. The reason I am returning the watch is that you can only load 5 workout types. Even for someone that rarely exercises, 5 exercises is inadequate. I liked the quality, looks, sleep tracking, heart tracking and app.

I have the Fitbit Sense, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and the Withings Scanwatch. Fitbit's data (especially sleep) is the top dog. Scanwatch is within margin of error and is acceptable for daily health insights. The appearance is just unbelievable. Beautiful. Id have to say IMO its the nicest looking hybrid smartwatch on the market. Battery life: unreal. Even on settings maxed out you are looking at a week and a half. Couple minor adjustments and you are easily hitting a month. Thats the worst deal with the Galaxy Watch 4... Ya, it has sleep tracking. But how are you using that if it's always on the charger? Good job Withings.

    Classic Look Modern Touches

I wanted the classic look with a few modern touches. It can be worn for everyday use and for a night on the town. I don’t need a watch with ever app known to man on it, that’s why I have a smart phone, but it has the functions of a smart watch that I need: who’s calling/texting, health tracking and an app that’s easy to use. Only thing to improve it would be if the hands glowed in the dark better.

The watch looks nice and seems to have cool functions. However, there are major glitches at least with mine. 1. This is a major one. The watch was showing the time 5 minutes late and stayed that way until I opened the app on my phone and it was allowed to sync with my phone. That is not good. The watch needs to always show the time correctly on its own. Not the case with mine. 2. The dials on the watch are always one minute behind the digital time display on the watch. 3. I found it to be a bit heavy. 4. The rubber band looks cheap and does not match. It is too wide for the hardware that is on it. Hard to feed the band through it. 5. The florescence on the dials is not visible in the dark. It is on the marks (1, 2, 3, etc.) but not on the dials; it is very faded and could not tell the time. I know you can press the button and will display the time digitally, but what is the purpose of the florescence on the watch if it does not work well. I was so excited to get my watch but know will return it today. Disappointed!!

This is a beautiful cross between a traditional watch and a smartwatch. If you are looking for something with a traditional look, you’re not going to find anything better than a watch from Withings. Here is a comparison: Interacting with the watch: The watch sets itself when paired with your phone. While a full smartwatch allows you to see and respond to notifications, this only allows you to see the notification that comes in. You can read a text message as it scrolls across the screen, but you cannot mark it as read or respond to it. Instead you can press the crown to turn on the smart options, and roll it to select the option you want. This is how you get to the functions of checking your ECG, blood oxygenation, etc. Activity Tracking: Be aware of what you are tracking! If you are doing a lot of walking, this will do a good job of tracking steps and active time. If you are walking on a treadmill and have your hands on the rails (or on a keyboard while working), this watch will register nothing. When I was walking while working, I racked up over 4,000 steps without the watch registering any activity. Otherwise, it seems good. Sleep Tracking: This is where the watch seems to be most lacking, largely due to one issue with the software. When you wake up during the night, it thinks you just woke up for the day. This means that if you wake up and are up for a couple of hours before falling back to sleep, it will not capture this second bout of sleeping. Similarly, I’ve even had it stop recording sleep when I even briefly wake up. I only know this because I also have an Oura ring to track activity and sleep. When the ring registered my being awake momentarily, the watch thought I was up for the day. The ring registered almost 8 hours of sleep, the watch only registered 2 hours. All-in-all: If you want a traditional looking watch with some smart functions, this is probably the best way to go. It looks just like a traditional watch. If you want a reliable activity tracker, this is probably not what you are looking for (see above). It you are looking to track sleep, this is definitely not what you are looking for. I really see this as being ideal for someone who has concerns about their heart rate and blood oxygenation, and everything else seems to be tacked on as an afterthought.

The first thing I noticed about this watch is the weight. Heavier than an Apple watch but not as heavy as a Rolex. As I haven't worn an actual wrist watch in years, I wore the watch for a few days to get used to it. Didn't take long before I forgot I was wearing it. Downloaded the application and went through the setup. The time automatically corrected to the current time during setup process. Nice. Super easy to use. Press the button for the time and day, both day of the week and date. Move the dial and it tells you your heart rate. Move it once more and it tells you how many steps you have taken. The next readout is how many miles you have gone in the day. It can even do an ECG! The app has tutorials that walk you through how to use the watch. Very easy to download and start using. Really appreciated that! You can setup various health goals, e.g. 10k steps a day and the watch will track how you are doing towards those goals. The watch comes with two watchbands, one flexible and one stainless steel link. There are even tools so you can add extra links or remove a few.

Setup: I took it out of the box and charged with the included cable. Then downloaded the Withings Health Mate app. I use Apple IOS. Then in the setup I created an account and selected the scan watch. The picture was not the same model, but it paired easily. Just enter the code that displays on the watch. Then what is nice is that you can select if you want notifications and which ones you want. After an update the watch was ready. I did use the included tools to remove some links, so the watch fit my wrist. This was nice since every band will need to be adjusted. Also included is a rubber sport band. Since it is FDA approved for ECG you run it once and then you get the device approved about 24hrs later since it is reviewed by a medical personnel. Use: I have used this and compared it to another leading smart watch. I liked that the watch had a lot of basic health features and since it is more of a watch it allowed me to focus less on distractions to my wrist. The watch is a bit heavy since it is all metal, but I got used to it. The navigation is just a pressing of the crown and scrolling the crown to cycle options like ECG, SP O2, Date/time, work outs, flights climbed, steps, mileage so far that day. I tried a few runs and walks. The tracking is very basic so if you have your own music or just want to track the activity it works well. If you’re like me and you want more stats plus music. Then this is not the watch. I liked putting it on for meetings since it was more professional looking. Also, I used it for the sleep tracking and found it was nice to get stats like how much rem sleep I got vs light sleep. It did not merge my activity well with my other fitness data on the Iphone. This made the watch more useful if your view all your stats in the Withings App. The battery life was excellent since it so far provided 12 full days of battery life. I think I could get more if I removed some of the notifications since they vibrate, and I am sure use a lot of battery. I do wish there was a better way to get notifications since they scroll across, so it is hard to keep up with the message since it scrolls pretty fast. Withings App: I do feel the app showed all of my health data from activity to sleep. It really displayed well and gave me good explanations on the numbers, so I understood what I was looking at. I do wish there was more of a real-time sync since every time I would open the app it would sync the data over, so it did not feel like it was real-time until the sync was done. Also, since the app is on all platforms it is nice to be able to switch phones without switching watches. This is a huge plus. Use Case: I think this watch is excellent for someone who wants the health tracking but wants a regular premium watch. I love that about this. It keeps it simple. Also, there is an eco-system of scales and other health items that you can get to keep track of all of your health info in one app. This is where the watch shines. I do feel like if it could display things like the temp outside and have a little bigger display this watch could be even more versatile. Also unfortunately it seems like the health data is contained in the app so does not allow for a blended use like I would normally use. I like the option of bringing this out to a nice dinner or meeting but wish the stats were in sync with my other devices. Overall an excellent smart watch that makes telling time a priority.

Most people, when shopping for a smart/fit watch don't expect to find one that is stylish, modern and elegant. Most look very utilitarian with no personality or character. This is what sets apart the Withings Horizon ScanWatch with the competition. I was taken aback when I first saw the Withings Horizon ScanWatch in person. To say that it is stylish and modern is an understatement! The Withings Horizon ScanWatch would fit in your wardrobe for any upscale event. Or, even a trip to the movie theater (more on that later). The Withings Horizon ScanWatch that I acquired has a gorgeous emerald green face. What's more, the hands on this beauty glow in the dark! The body and band of the watch are all a silver colored metal. BUT ALSO included is a black rubber type of band. This band would make the most sense when you are using your Withings Horizon ScanWatch for your daily workouts. A clever spring mechanism holds the bands onto the face making swapping out bands breeze. There are also many other types and colors of bands available at the Withings website. Also included in the box is an awesome mallet and extra links for the metal band, in case you are like me and have a larger wrist, like I do. Adding the links was very easy with the included tool. Now that we have gone over the "form" it's now time to speak about the function of the Withings Horizon ScanWatch. Now, the first thing to get across is that this isn't a fullscreen/touchscreen display, Instead, all of your vital informaton is displayed in a digital display that is about an inch high, give or take. The Withings Horizon ScanWatch is the perfect companion for an individual who is an athlete, OR simply someone who is wanting to be proactive regarding their overall health. The Withings Horizon ScanWatch monitors your pulse, but that is just the start! The Withings Horizon ScanWatch also performs ECG's which you can print out, and warns you if there are any abnormalities you should speak to your physician about. In addition, SPo2 levels can be read. Both of these features are worth the price of admission. But yet there is more! The Withings Horizon ScanWatch can do a FULL EKG "on demad" if you so desir. The best part? No extra equipment is required for these features. All you have to do is place your hand in a "C" type shape around the Withings Horizon ScanWatch head, and then you are "cookng with gas!!!" One of my favorite features is that you can sync it to your phone, and preview text messages on it. This feature of the Withings Horizon ScanWatch has saved my butt quite a few times when using a smat-phone would have been inappropriate. All in all, the Withings Horizon ScanWatch could very well be considered top of the line when we are talking mid-tier watches (Rolex is high Tier)o

The Withings Scan Watch Horizon is not only stylish, but so functional! Withings has combined a traditional watch with the features of a smart watch. With the simple turn of the crown/stem you can view the current time, your heart rate, number of steps you've taken for the day, and total distance. You can also perform a simple ECG, check your oxygen level, record different work-outs, and count breaths per minute. Turn the crown to ECG, place your other hand over the watch, and in 30 seconds get a clinically validated/FDA-cleared ECG which you can share with your medical provider. The watch also has the ability to track your sleep patterns, and store all of the information in one simple app. no subscriptions - just useful info at your fingertips. The stainless-steel band is elegant, stylish, and has a great "heavy" feel to it. Just another confirmation of a quality product! Need to adjust the band? No problem with the enclosed tool kit to add/remove links making it fit virtually anyone. For a more "summer-time" feel, switch to the enclosed silicone band for lightweight comfort. If you're a diver/swimmer the watch is water-resistant to 10 ATM (100 meters) and includes a rotating bezel. The luminous hands glow in the dark and a built-in sensor lights up the digital display with a simple twist of the wrist. Out of the box, it had about 60% power but a short charge with the enclosed wireless charger brought it up to 100% quickly. Fully charged lasts 30 days (plus an additional 20 day reserve). No need to store it in sunlight (like a solar watch) or make sure you move it around enough (like a kinetic or self-winding). The AI in the watch recognizes movement and when it ceases (like sleep) it keeps an accurate record of how long you slept, how well you slept, and records amounts of REM sleep and light sleep. You can even set it up in the app and phone to "buzz" your wrist for incoming calls and texts, and the display scrolls the caller name and/or text message. Finally, a "Smart Watch" for folks who prefer a traditional watch! This watch is SO COOL!
