Customers are saying

Customers love the SCANWATCH's impressive battery life and the availability of ECG and oximeter features. Many appreciate its elegant design and accurate health tracking capabilities, including sleep and heart rate monitoring. However, some users wish for a built-in GPS and a larger screen. The step counter's accuracy has also been a point of concern for a few customers.

For the money, it's an excellent watch with some smarts! If you'd like a normal looking watch, but has a lot of great health tracking... ECG, Heart Rates, Sp02 and steps, this watch is a great value which is also built very well... and has a fantastic battery life of up to 30 days!!!

    Great Style, Questionable Tracking

Pros: The watch looks great, battery life is really impressive, the interface and user experience are very satisfying. Cons: heart rate and calorie tracking are questionable, it's a little bulky, doesn't do running distance estimations without your phone gps being turned on. Detailed Cons: It's obviously impressive that it can track what it can from your wrist, but it consistently fails to detect high heart rate during workouts. Calorie tracking is extremely low/pessimistic. From what I've read, tracking burned calories from heart rate is apparently an imprecise process. It appears that Withings just happens to choose the low end. Overall: would buy again

Finally a 30 day battery on a smart watch. In practice get a message to recharge every week at my convenience. But I’m using all the features. Sleep measurements work well and building up an informative history because know won’t run out of battery overnight. Blood oxygen and EKG functions are excellent.

    Man, I wish this worked...

Man, I really, really wanted this watch to work. Several months ago, my Dr encouraged me to get 30-45mins of "elevated heart rate" exercise, a couple times a week. I'm 52, and my HIIT days are over. I didn't want a smart watch that looked like a smart watch, and didn't want a "fitness tracker" (bracelet style) that was an obvious tracker. This watch LOOKED perfect, and that's the #1 feature. I'm a bit of a watch nerd, and I loved that this looked like a real analog watch, and not a toy. First, Withings marketing line is "clinically powerful watches". Well, I fell for it. My motivation was heart health and all I needed was even marginally accurate heart rate feedback. I just spent a couple hundred $$ on a competitor and I guess this thing is going in a drawer for me. I'd be 15mins into a weight training, huffing and puffing and sweating, and my Scanwatch would say my HR was like 58BPM. Just NO WAY. So I'd ignore it, keep going, glance again 5 mins later, and it'd read like 140BPM. Just NO WAY (again, not doing HIIT stuff here). The only thing I wanted this to do was give me even a "ball park" heart rate, and it's all over the place. I've googled articles and video on how to properly wear the watch, where it should sit on your wrist, how tight it should be, etc, etc. I've tried it for 6 months and I just can't take it any more... So, so disappointed... Especially for a company with the arrogance to use the term "clinical" in its marketing material. 2 stars, despite my rant there, because for the past few months I've been wearing it as a good liking watch that gives me alerts with a discreet vibration. So it's not worthless. I'd actually buy a "regular" watch of it just did that and probably pay somewhere near the same. It's also connect to my phone, so I get vibration alerts for calls, texts and emails. I work on a discreet setting, so feeling the vibe and glancing at the alert is something a regular "dumb watch" can't do... So for a regular watch that gives me vibe alerts, it's worth the $. But in terms of delivering on any of the health data, it is utterly "non-clinical" and unreliable. Can you tell that I've given this ~6months and all this is just built up and I've got to vent? Yah, we'll that's what this review is. And I wound up paying 2x, because I have to replace this with the product I could've/should've bought the first time. Yah, so I've had enough and here's my vent.

Good looking watch. The O2 and ECG functions are especially useful. Has some trouble if you are sweating. Seems like you have to wipe down your wrist and the back of watch if you want a reading during a workout.

Fantastic Smartwatch. It tracks your steps, Pulse, Heart ECG, and Blood Oxygen level and looks like a traditional watch. The battery lasts for 20-30 DAYS. Wow! No more having to charge every 2-3 days. Fantastic watch. I would recommend it to all those looking for a Apple or Samsung alternative with long battery life.

Excellent, besides keeping track of time, and the number of steps you've taken, and all the different workouts. You can also monitor your sleep, heart rate and ECG. The best part about this watch is that you don't have to charge it daily like other smart watches. You only charge it once a month or at least on the 25th day. Large enough and easy to see time in the dark. I love everything about this watch.

Battery lasts forever, 7 days at a time. Has what you would want for all health metrics. Comparable to Apple Watch without the all digital lcd screen. I can see who calls receive messages. All the ben fits without having to charge every night. I love the old school feel. Would recommend over most people ther health watches.

I have the HR steel and was waiting for FDA nod to buy this in USA. I really love this watch. ECG and Oximeter are available at my disposal. One drawback is the battery when you use ECG and Oximeter. Battery drops by two points but other than that, for general use case I get more than 30 days.

This is my second Withings smart watch and it is easy to set up and use. Battery life is excellent and this one is easier to read. It has more features than the older version. My only negative is I wish it came with a hard copy manual.

I couldn’t be more impressed with this watch. Looks amazing and meets all its claims including the 1 month charge battery life and then some. I learn more every day. It’s also helping me track my meals and loose weight. Did my homework in the research area and couldn’t have made a better choice. Love this watch. Would definitely recommend the purchase of this fine watch. Additional options are available. I’d suggest going on the Withings website and prepare to be blown away. All they claim, is true.

The Withings brand is reliable in name and product, and the ScanWatch is no different! I have tried a number of hybrid smart watches, and Withings’ watches are the perfect blend of simplicity, daily elegance, and reliability. A must-have if you want basic smart features without compromising the traditional look or having to step into a completely smart device.

It's a great piece of technology and looks very elegant. It is light and comfortable to wear even while sleeping. Unfortunately for me however, I was hoping to be able to capture my ECG when under moderate physical stress, but I've just found out in the in-app instructions that the watch will NOT capture an ECG (or will label is as "inconclusive") if the heart rate is below 50 BPM, or higher than 100 BPM. Bummer.

So far, soooooo good! I rid myself of a fApple Watch because my iPhone went bouncing down the roadway and into a bazillion pieces none of which I could recover so that my warranty could be honored at Best Buy. My watch was pretty much made useless without the iPhone. Dumb. Really dumb. And I bought the warranty but could not safely get any of the parts as I was on a motorcycle and the road was BUSY! So I bought this to go with an Android phone. UGH...Android is nothing special, but the watch is. It has a tactile feeling of pure quality and seems to work well. My main complaint is that I cannot turn off the Blootoof so I CANNOT WEAR IT AT WORK! I filled out the survey by Withings and hopefully they will update it so I can turn it off when I am at work If not, I have another month + to take this otherwise fine timepiece back and get something else that I can turn the Blootoof OFF on. Recommended with the caveat that you CAN'T TURN OFF THE BLOOTOOF!!!! I am not frustrated. I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal frustrated. Trust me. I know what I'm doin' when I'm reviewin'.
