Looks sharp, if you have 20/20 vision.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks sharp, but the words displayed on the face are small and hard to read (for me) without glasses. I returned it and bought a 43mm Galaxy 6. It's more expensive, but it does much more.

Sleek & Surprisingly Featured Long Life Smartwatch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a review for the Withings Scanwatch Light for Women. This is for the black watch with silver crown. The watch is the sleek nondescript clean design that one has come to expect from Withings with a normal watch dial, hands, and crown. The smarts comes from the built in sensors and circular black and white screen at the 12-o'clock position. This screen is used to display information, heart rate, hours slept, etc with interaction coming through crown, pressing it to make a selection or rotating it to move through screens and menus. You might ask, if the crown is doing that, how do you set the time? Well, remember, this is a smartwatch - the time comes from your paired phone. So there's never really a need to "set" it or adjust it. It does mean if you're traveling, until your phone updates to a new time zone, the watch time will be off. What makes this a watch for women? Honestly, I don't there's that much. The watch/app has a menstruation tracking feature but that's not doing anything with a special sensor built into the watch. So the real differentiator seems to come by comparison to other scanwatch watches. The watch design is sleeker, less aggressive, and physically smaller and lighter. Otherwise, you're pretty much looking at the much of the same sensors, screen, and battery life. If anything, it's impressive still eking out 30 days of nominal battery life from what one would expect is a physically smaller battery. While this unit has only been in use for about a week, there's been no indication of battery issues so relative to other smart watches the battery life looks impressive while not losing too much in terms of what you can see on the screen. The biggest pros of this watch - always visible time. Most other smart watches need to turn off or dim the screen, and thus your view of the time, in an attempt to reach about a week of battery life. Here, you get what's still the fundamental feature for many, quick telling of time, at a glance with no special gesture, all the time. And you still get a lot of the normal notifications - albeit on a much smaller screen with much less information. But honestly, other than some quick responses to text messages, for most smartwatch notifications, for me it's more about knowing that a particular message or email has come through and I'll move to handling it on my phone or perhaps seeing who is calling and decide on whether I want to expend the effort to finding and extracting my phone. Unfortunately, you can't initiate answering or rejecting calls from the watch - though you can silence the notification on the watch with the crown which if you're not answering the call anyway, then having it ring a few more times before going to voicemail is just as effective. The watch tracks pretty much everything you'd expect (and more) for one rated with such a high battery life. There's a step counter, true heart rate tracker which together with its activity tracking it uses for sleep tracking. It can do some basic activity/workout detection and you generally get useful info on the screen. The watch is water resistant to 5atm so you can wear it while swimming though likely you'd want to upgrade to a different watch band if you're doing that. The good news is that changing out bands is pretty straight forward. The watch charges on a special docking station that plugs in via USB-C. It would have been nicer to charge wirelessly, but I can image that adds bulk to the watch. The watch does not have built-in GPS. So while it will track a jog or run, it relies on your phone being paired to get and associate location information to that workout. Aside from what you'd do on the watch throughout the day, because the screen is relatively small and limited, if you're interested in digging into more detail, you will likely spend a bit of time daily in the app. And don't get me wrong, the app is pretty informative but is packed with so many different things that it detracts a bit from the design and clashes with the minimalist/simple aesthetic that the watch. You're kinda expecting a similar experience navigating the app and it's definitely not there. So good new, you can really dig into and analyze your sleep, activity, steps, etc but where the watch interactions may be calming, the app ones may not be that way. Overall, I think the Scanwatch Light does a lot well. If you don't need a lot of notification detail and are someone who always takes your phone with you while exercising or jogging, there's very little you'd miss not having built into the watch. But in exchange you get always on time and a watch where you can get away with charging about once per month which makes needing to use a proprietary wired charger ok.

Elegant looking watch with smartwatch capabilties
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though the ScanWatch Light watch is billed as being for women, it is neutral enough and muted in design that a man with a smaller wrist could wear it without standing out in a bad way. It has a classic, elegant, round watch face design that looks more like a traditional watch than a piece of tech, unlike the Apple watch which is rectangular and looks like a toy gadget on the wrist. I think that is the sweet spot Withings is going for here, a watch for people that want to wear a watch with a few tech features built in. It boasts a sleek and elegant design that seamlessly merges with both casual and formal attire, and the attention to detail in the craftsmanship adds a touch of sophistication. This smartwatch is a true health ally. From 24/7 heart rate monitoring to advanced sleep tracking, it provides a comprehensive overview of well-being. The inclusion of VO2 max monitoring adds an extra layer of insight into respiratory health, especially during workouts and sleep. The one feature that is specific to women is the menstrual tracking. However, just because it has this feature doesn’t mean that men can’t wear it. The accompanying Withings Health Mate app offers detailed and personalized insights based on health data. It's user-friendly and provides actionable advice to improve overall well-being, from sleep hygiene suggestions to tailored fitness recommendations. Despite its advanced health tracking capabilities, the ScanWatch Light impresses with its extended battery life. The company claims this watch can go 720 hours between charges, which is 1 month. This is very convenient because it means a charger isn’t necessary when going on trips and also the battery isn’t drained upon waking up in the morning if you want to track your sleep. While the ScanWatch Light excels in health tracking, it's worth noting that its smartwatch features are more limited compared to dedicated smartwatches. Basic notifications and activity tracking are present, but those seeking a full-fledged smartwatch experience might find it slightly lacking. There is only a small area on this watch for digital notifications, while a traditional smartwatch has its entire screen for such notifications. The Withings ScanWatch Light is a standout hybrid smartwatch that seamlessly blends style with advanced health monitoring capabilities. Its elegant design, comprehensive health tracking features, and personalized insights make it a valuable tool for women (or men) looking to prioritize and improve their overall well-being. While it leans more towards health tracking than a traditional smartwatch, the ScanWatch Light's balance of functionality and aesthetics makes it a top choice for those who value both style and health consciousness.

Great watch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Came out of the box with enough charge to last a week. The charger has two pieces. The watch sit nicely into the base of the charger for a custom fit. The watch is light and is stylish. The strap is comfortable and adjustable in size to the wrist. The instructions indicate to wear the watch near a certain distance from your wrist to get the most accurate readings. The readings get uploaded to the App and you can see a dial with a percentage increasing to let you know when the information has been transferred to your phone. Then you can review activities (if you’ve chosen to program one by selecting bicycle, walking, swimming, etc). The intimation is quite useful so you can learn to make adjustments and meet goals you set. For instance, if you set a goal for 7000 steps, you’ll see on a daily basis how many steps you’ve taken and then you can scroll and view a weekly graph of your values. Use the watch while sleeping to get indications on whether you are having light sleep or REM sleep which is the deeper sleep. If there’s an interruption to your sleep, it’l mark it with a gray line versus the light blue line (light sleep) and dark blue lines (REM) sleep. It’ll also let you for how long your sleep was interrupted in minutes. The goal is to reach 100% good sleep. The indicator will give you a score of let’s say 67 and the circle around the 67 may be yellow or red, while the good scores of let’s say 87 or 100 will have a green circle. Basically is visually easy to glance and see by color/number if you’ve had a good nights sleep. You can set the watch so that the face of the watch light up upon moving or you can turn that feature off so that it only lights up when you press the side button. The side button on the watch can be pressed quickly and then turned to scroll to functions you want to view or to get to an activity you want to start. There are times you have to shot pressed and long presses to the watch but it’s best to read the pamphlet and practice so you get accustomed to using the features quickly and get the most out of the experience. The app is great although I did have a glitch where for two days it didn’t record sleep nor heart rate. Again, learn the app features and how to press and for how long you need to press to get to the activity you want and to get the best experience both the watch and app offer. It’s really a great watch, light to wear and stylish. It has great features and keeps you paying attention to your activity so you naturally feel the responsibility to take better care of yourself since you become more and more self aware of your sleep patterns, heart rate and more.

Does everything I need it to!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is really a very nice smartwatch. It's the first one I've owned, although I've been considering getting one for a long time. I feel like ever since the pandemic, like a lot of people, my activity level has changed. Not in a good way, with my weight being a good 25 lbs more than before, and I just have a hard time finding the motivation to get out and get active. Before the pandemic, I was outside, running, walking, fishing, anything to be out of the house! So now, even though I'm generally in good health, I feel like I need to be held to some sort of accountability in maintaining at least a healthier weight. The watch is super nice to look at, which I love. I hate the look of the boxy Apple and Android smart watches. I can wear this with a casual outfit or dressed up and it looks great. I get a ton of compliments from guys especially. Watch enthusiasts, I guess! I own an Android cell phone and I use the Google Fit app to track my steps and movement. Problem is, that I can't carry my phone everywhere to track accurately, so I can really only get a general idea of how active I've been? This little beauty stays pressed right against my skin, and accounts for everything. It can tell between actual walking / running and, say, just moving around a little while scrolling the internet on my phone, and won't miscount that movement as' steps' either. My sleep habits are all over the place. and this is my favorite feature of the Scan Watch. It seems to be more accurate than any app I've tried on my phone, for sure, again since it's actually up against my body. I thought I was getting at least 4 solid hours of sleep each night, but I'm actually only getting something like 3 1/2!? No bueno. Making conscious effort to get to bed earlier this last few weeks and I definitely have more energy. Cons, I tend to run hot and find that I have to adjust the strap at times because it becomes too tight. Not sure how much that has affected my readings, I'm still learning. And, I think the app is nice, looks good, easy to navigate (and syncs with Google Fit to share info, nice!), but, some features you have to pay for. At an affordable price, upscale design and competitive features, I would recommend it.

easy setup, looks great, comfortable, very useful
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The watch arrived beautifully packaged in a sturdy, compact white box, containing the watch itself, a charging base, a charging cable, and minimal printed instructions, which weren’t an issue because those instructions provided a QR code with which one could easily download the Withings app. Setup was straightforward – you pair the watch to your phone with Bluetooth, provide some basic profile information (height, weight, gender, birthdate) and tell the app what your fitness goals are, what you want the watch to track, and what additional app notifications (i.e. emails, texts) you want the watch to provide. I’m only really interested in the heart monitor and the step tracker, and both of those work fine, but there are all manner of other things you can use this watch for, and the Withings app explains their setup clearly. Note that you can ONLY charge the watch using its own charging cable. I tried plugging the charging base into the cable I normally use to charge my phone, and it didn’t work. The charging cable has a USB-C port at one end, which is plugged into the watch charger base, and a USB-2 port at the other end, which must be plugged into a charging source such as an A/C adapter, which is not included in the box. I provided my own. The watch arrived at 40% charge and only took half an hour or so to fully charge. Battery life has been quite good. The thing I like best about this watch is the overall design. It has the clean lines of a classic watch (I’ve never cared for the cluttered faces of most sports or smart watches), and the rubber strap is substantial and comfortable. You could wear this watch with professional attire, and no one would think it looked out of place. Highly recommended

Good quality watch that flies under the radar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This watch is obvious in trying to do something different and I think they accomplished it. The "light" version of Withing's smartwatch is a quality time piece that integrates the smartwatch functions. The watch itself is very well made and the band is high quality. The gorilla glass face resists scratches and is easier to keep clean. The smart portion of the display is controlled by the Withings app on your phone. This experience is a little bit clunky and not as user friendly as it could be. This is exacerbated by the cramped display and their attempts to show as much info as possible on that small ish screen. It's possible to wear this watch and have noone know that you're wearing a smart watch. I read some online comments criticizing the accuracy of some of the health tracking features, but this seems to be where Withings shines on other products. I didn't have that same experience but I was definitely on the lookout for it. The few features that are missing from their flagship scanwatch didn't seem to be terribly missed. Overall this is well made and I would recommend it to anyone that is offended by an apple watch.

Functional Elegance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Withings ScanWatch Light is the perfect Smartwatch for people who love simplicity, enjoy wearing beautiful timepieces, and want a sprinkling of technology added. This watch is extremely light, which I find makes it a joy to wear all day! The one button control makes this smart watch extremely easy to use and does a great job of making it look like a normal watch and that is exactly the look I am going for. This watch is also nice and thin! Unlike many other smartwatches you don't have a large brick sitting your wrist all day, which is such a huge improvement over the competition. The app is also very easy to setup and use, it took us about 15 minutes to get everything set up and figured out. The battery life on this watch is so much longer than the others, and it is not something you have to be sure to put on the charger every night. Overall I love this watch as something to compliment formal wear, and to be unassuming in a world flooded with technology and that is all that I have been looking for!

This is one stylish, easy to manage device.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first got this watch I thought that it was a very striking watch. The first thing that stuck out was the fact of how I could wear this with a dressy or a sporty alfit. I like that fact that the face of the watch is round. The round face makes it easy to pair with a nice alfit. The fact that the bands are economical is very attractive as well. I can get any changeable bands for this watch and it not break the bank. The watch was very easy to set up as well. I downloaded the app on. My phone and it was effortless to be able to select all of the different programs that you want you watch to accommodate you with. The battery life is amazing. I have been wearing the watch for 5 days and I am still on 66%, to me this is a winning situation considering that my other watch I have to charge every night. Th only thing that I don’t like is the fact that I can’t respond to phone calls and text on this device. I an able to read notifications but being able to respond on it would be great. Overall this is a great watch and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

An excellent fas health-monitoring watch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First impression: My first impression of the Withings ScanWatch Light is that it is a very well-made watch, typical of the Withings brand. From the moment I held this watch, I knew this watch continued the Withings fashionable line of health-monitoring watches. The watch comes well packaged and includes the watch, USB cable and charging adapter. A quick start guide, and a user guide are available by scanning a QR code in the box. Both the quick start guide, and the user guide are well written and easy to follow. I have the original ScanWatch, and I love it. I got this ScanWatch Light for my wife, and I was curious to see the differences between the original ScanWatch and the ScanWatch Light. The very first difference I saw was the charging adapter. The original ScanWatch uses the standard small puck-like charger. Different than most is that the Withings puck adapter uses charging pins instead of just using magnetism. But the ScanWatch light has a charging adapter that securely holds the watch and charges with pins. Unlike the puck-style chargers, it’s not easy to accidentally bump your watch off the new style of adapter. The charging adapter is made in a way that you cannot plug it in backwards. Setup: For this watch, setup begins with charging the watch and installing the app. Once the watch has charged and the app is installed, you pair the watch to the app. Once paired, the watch and app work together to guide you through the installation. I found the installation very easy as the app steps you through each step of the way. App: The watch uses the Withings Health Mate app, and this is where the statistics and configuration of this watch is. It is clean and easy to know where to go to accomplish what you are setting out to do. It is divided into 3 sections: Home, Measure, and Achieve. On the home tab, the app shows your daily steps with a daily average, average heart rate, sleep quality, and Leaderboard results and trends including workout days with time worked out. The app displays monitored results under the Measure tab from the following categories: Activity, Body, Heart, Sleep, and Menstrual Health. Looking at the results, you see Steps, Average Heart Rate, Walking Distance and Time, Sleep Quality, and Breathing Disturbances. If you have a Withings scale, it will also display Weight. It also allows manual entry of weight in case you have a different scale. The one thing the ScanWatch Light doesn’t always get correct is the exercise type. The watch will attempt to automatically detect exercise and attempt to determine the type of exercise detected. This is not a big deal because you can manually change the exercise type in the app. The ScanWatch Light provides notifications of health-related information. Unlike the ScanWatch and ScanWatch 2, the ScanWatch Light does not provide notifications for phone calls, voicemails, and text messages. Appearance: The ScanWatch Light is a very attractive, elegant looking watch, just like its predecessors. It comes in 3 colors, silver/black, siler/white, and rose/gold. While this might seem limiting considering the colors for other standard health watches, Withings offers 37 different watchbands you can add to your watch. They have 5 different types of watchbands: Premium Sport, Sporty Silicone, Leather, Recycled Woven P.E.T., and Metal. The ScanWatch Light uses an 18mm watchband. The watch face contains a small LCD screen at the top that displays all settings and results. It is small enough to not dominate the watch, but large enough to easily read. It has bright white characters and is controlled by the watch crown. One nice feature that is not on my other watches is that if the hands are in front of the display and you push the crown to activate the screen, the hands temporarily move outside of the screen. Very nice! Conclusion: The Withings ScanWatch Light is a very nice looking, high quality smart watch. It is scaled-down feature wise compared to its big sister the ScanWatch 2. However, for someone who doesn’t need the left-out features, this is a perfect option. It does handle all the basic health monitoring features found on most health watches, and it does this beautifully. The battery life is absolutely amazing. Depending on how much you are monitoring on the watch, you will get anywhere from 20 -30 days on one charge. My other health watch is only good for 18 hours. If you want a high-quality, fashionable, health monitoring watch that performs beautifully, has excellent battery life, a great app, and numerous watchbands available to change the look of the watch, then I highly recommend this watch.

Withings offers an excellent health metric watch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Withings is one of the most respected brands in the health metrics space. When it comes to wearables, they can be trusted to give you not only quality hardware, but quality results and metrics. They were founded in 2008 - when consumer wearable health devices were only being discussed in conference rooms. Throughout the last five years, I've gotten many Withings devices for myself and my family and have been quite happy with them. As of today, we have their Sleep (sleep tracking mat), Thermo (family thermometer), Body Cardio (scale), and Body Scan (scale), and the ScanWatch 2. Obviously, the ScanWatch 2 is the closest device I have that compares to the ScanWatch Light. The ScanWatch 2 is the flagship watch for Withings, while the ScanWatch Light is a less expensive, more minimal device. Both have great quality and a classy look. If you're not looking for a sporty looking smart watch, the ScanWatch Light is perfect for you - although, it is far from a traditional smartwatch. It doesn't have customization. It looks how it looks. It has a small digital read that will tell you your heartrate, for example. I also have a Pixel Watch 2 that I use often. That device scratches my traditional smartwatch itch, where I can customize it to fit the style I'm going for, but it needs to be more accurate and thoroughly thought through as the Withings health watches. For one, the battery life on the Withings SmartWatch Light is unbelievable when compared to any other smart watch out there. There are many reasons, mainly because the SmartWatch Light is a partial digital watch. It's a hybrid. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a battery listed at 30 days! Yes, you read that right! That's 30 days of battery life. Very impressive! This device is outstanding as a health monitor. It's not only accurate in its readings, but it's very detailed in them as well. The app associated with the watch (which also connects to the rest of your Withings devices) is one of the most well-thought-out apps I regularly use. Best of all, a subscription is optional in many cases. The Body Scan scale is the only device that benefits the most from a subscription. As far as the watch goes, you do not need a subscription to get full benefits. My wife thought it was pretty awesome that it can measure your menstrual cycle. That can come in handy for not only discovering abnormalities, but to help with conception when trying to get pregnant. She wishes something like that would have existed when we had our children 10 years ago! Bottom line, for $250, this is an excellent health device that specializes in sleep, and heart metrics. It does what it does well and looks great. Withings offers different styled bands as well, so you aren't stuck with the one that comes with the watch. Get a few different colors and switch them out when you want to.

A leaner version of a good smartwatch
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my withings smartwatch for quite three years and had fairly good luck with it's function. My wife has wanted something like this also, but my standard withings scan watch is a bit big for her liking. I got thus one because it is thinner and smaller, and does virtually the same thing. It in theory displays notifications from apps you select and will run text messages across the screen, and vibrate when phone calls come in. It will also go off with alarms set on your phone. This comes with a different charging base than my original scanwatch, a bit frustrating if we travel, because another base to take with. That being said you can just bring the base and use a usbc cord to charge it, so my phone cord will work, and I can chose the length of it. However, the base on my scanwatch comes loose now sometimes when charging, I'm hoping this style of charger puts less pull on the back. The display is clean and easy to read. The face does not have the dial stepcounter like the regular scan watch, which is where some of the size reduction occurs. Setup is simple enough like my old one and she put in her biostatistics and such and then it tracks sleep, heart rhythm, oxygen levels, menstrual cycles, activity levels. And you can add weights, and food intake. So far, this can do all that, just as mine. The one thing we are finding out is that her phone (I-phone 11 with latest IOS update done in the last week) is doing an odd thing with alarms on the phone. We had an event on Friday, she cleared on her phone, but it keeps going off im random 2-3 hour stints telling us it was occurring again. Then later it went off now a few times for a future thing on Tuesday (currently it is Sunday). I have dug through all the help links on the site, nothing about this issue. Also, it vibrates for calls and alerts from selected apps, but does not notify or display the text messages with her phone, no matter how many times I've gone through the settings and trouble shooting guide. I have android on my phone, no issues with it working with this watch. I unpaired and repaired it with my phone, no issues, works just like mine, does everything, so I'll chalk that up to to proprietary issues with IOS and I'll keep working. I'm not taking stars off the watch for Apples shortcomings. I do reccomed this watch. I really havn’t seen anything like this out there at this price point since I got mine, this one is even more affordable. A good blend of analog look and digital underpinning. I get many compliments about it, and then I show them the technology and blow their minds.

Pleasantly Surprised - Helps with Health Goals
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Withings ScanWatch Light is great. I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight and comfortable the watch is. It does not bother me at night to sleep with it, unlike other smart watches I've used. The style is simple and the basic black modern design can be worn with both casual and dressier clothes. I like that the watch has both an analog watch face, but also a small circular window for the digital functions. The watch was easy to set up in the app - it walks through each step in the setup, but also provides step by step tutorials to get to know the watch in small segments. Some of the best features include the sleep monitoring which tells you not only the length, but the quality of sleep you get each night. I find the results to be fairly accurate. Another feature I enjoy is the "breathe" selection which walks you through some deep breathing (which is super healthy). Other features I use daily include the steps walked, the heart rate, workout options and clock functions (alarm, stopwatch, timer). I find that using the watch is helping me monitor my health and boosts my incentive. The only negative so far is that it will unpair occasionally, but that may be due to our sporadic internet. I highly recommend this watch for anyone who wants to implement or monitor their overall health.

Withings - ScanWatch Light - A classy alternative
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Withing's Scan Watch Light Wellness Focused for Women offers a classy alternative to the typical touchscreen watch. The watch comes in a small convenient package. Opening the box reveals the Watch, charging cable, dock and setup instructions. The first thing you will notice is how light and premium the watch feels. The body of the watch is made of stainless steel and the watch face is Gorilla Glass for durability. The watch has a 30-day battery life with a charging time of 2 hours with the included docking station (USB-C compatible). The watch features a 0.63-inch circular OLED grayscale display at the top. Withings ScanWatch Light
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received the Withings ScanWatch Light for Women Hybrid Smartwatch, 37mm Black/Silver, seems to be well made and durable, looks like an elegant watch with a great activity tracker. It tracks steps, sleep, exercises, heart rate, and breathing disturbances, you can scroll between screens with the crown. It can also be used for your phone's notifications and help you keep an eye on your cycle, also has 30 days of battery life on a charge! The ScanWatch Light is good for women, as there’s on-the-watch cycle tracking plus symptom input for headaches, acne, breast tenderness, cramps, and more. The ScanWatch Light is more of an overall health tracker that also happens to act as a fitness and exercise tracker. The watch also integrates with the Withings app, where it has like weight scales, blood pressure monitors, sleep trackers, and thermometers. Overall, the ScanWatch Light is a great start for those who care about their health in general, and who wants to take health tracking to the next level.
I would recommend this to a friend
