As a new player, this felt like a great selection of cards to get started. The case that it comes with is great for holding and organizing them, and the variety of mythic and rare cards has me excited to build my first decks!

An incredible deal. A full starter set with 500 ish cards everything you need to play. Instantly transported back to middle school trading cards at lunch with my friends.

Definitely worth your money. Lot's of great cards and lands. Just recently got back into Magic and the starter collection adds both new and classic spin to Magic.

This starter collection is better for someone wanting to play standard Magic, and not really intended for commander.
But as someone new to Magic, getting hundreds of cards for $60 is pretty hard to beat. The included storage box, life tracker, and three play boosters are nice extras as well. For anyone new to Magic, but cares more about getting a bunch of cards rather than learning the game, the starter collection will do you nicely. For learning the game, go with the beginner box instead.

Trying to teach my kids to play magic. This was a great item to get them started. I also bought them the avatar beginner set, and a couple the pre-built beginner commander decks. All good choices for beginners to start to learn. Gives them all the tools

Great collection of cards to help build decks. The card value per price of the collection is pretty equal and the number of decks you can create is adequate, given you have cards from other expansions.

Definitely worth the purchase. So many cards in the box including cards that people are charging through the roof for. A good mix of everything and more than enough to make 2 or 3 commander decks.

Please lookup some YouTube reviews, it's a standard set of cards in here and they're great! I started magic a few months ago and this helped and still helps me build decks, now acting like a pool of useful accessible cards for my commander deck builds!

I recently got into magic and wanted to start a solid collection so I could use more than just the basic commander precons. This set not only let me create both commander and standard decks, but also upgrade my current precons further, definitely worth it if you are trying to get into magic and start a collection.

The starter collection is a fantastic purchase for people starting off, or even veterans of Magic. If you check any deck list online, you'll see that the singles in this collection are still being used regularly in many decks, and sold at prices that easily justify the MSRP cost of the collection.

This is designed for a complete first-timer to the game, but it also works very for those trying to teach the game to someone else too. It has 2 programmed decks with matching booklets that take each player step-by-step through the first few turns of a game to teach the basics. But where it shines the most is the Jumpstart packs. These are preset "mini decks" that you can just pick 2, shuffle them together, & have a full 60-card deck. The other goodies are good too.

This is probably one of the best products to be released in years, as it has so many wonderful staples, as well as the building blocks for many decks, it also is from the foundations set of packs, which is even better! 100% a must buy for new and older players.

Good product, was shipped like garbage though so the bundle box to host and organize the cards was damaged. Thankfully none of the cards were. At the $59.99 it’s pretty worth it if you don’t have most of this collection and want to crack a few packs.

Just recently got into MTG after opening a LOTR booster pack. This was my next purchase and I feel like it’s provided me a good base to start building a commander deck.
