Customers are saying

Customers find value in the gameplay and shooting mechanics of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, with many praising the graphics and enjoyable cooperative experience. However, some feel the story is underwhelming and could have been improved. The narrative aspects are a point of contention for some players. While the core gameplay is generally well-received, the plot may not resonate with all players.

More run, gun and fun with a Co-Op focus

This time we follow the adventures of the Blazkowicz sisters in occupied Paris. With less narrative focus and far more gunplay this game might disappoint fans of the previous two games in the rebooted series. The gunplay and added depth of environments make the game still a lot of fun but it lacks the large stakes of the last two games.

thought this game was actually decently priced, including the buddy pass. As a big fan of the Wolfenstein franchise I was disappointed somewhat by this title, whilst the linear level design of previous games is now gone thanks to Arkane Studios helping with the levels, the locations all feel rather dull, and having just finished it I don't really find many distinctions between all of them. The progression feels somewhat "grindy" you have to go to a certain location, do this, return to the central hub and turn the mission in, you have to re-load the same location if you wish to do a different mission/objective, whilst this is all optional and you can just go straight to the raid bosses you'll find yourself under-leveled. All of the promotional material showed these two vastly different interesting protagonists and aside from some very basic character development in the introduction of the game, they're pretty much empty characters with few distinguishing features, the only really meaningful interactions between them are seen in elevator security cameras which are used as between-level loading screens of which there are only a handful of different takes of, there are security doors which separate different areas of a certain level, and in order to get through, you have to wait for your sister to come over and help you lift the door up to progress which can often take some time and becomes rather tedious. There is a new weapon/armor system which while easy to understand can make certain enemies absolute bullet sponges, certain enemies have armor which can only be effectively defeated by heavier weapons and vice versa with lighter weapons, while this seems like a good idea, the inventory system and switching weapons does make it very tedious when in the middle of a firefight if your quick-switch weapon is of the same category. The story while enjoyable is very underdeveloped and unfortunately predictable, and the stealth while absolutely fun and oftentimes highly valuable unfortunately suffers from also being underdeveloped. Again, as a fan of the series I did enjoy the setting, a different time period and the usual interesting tech upgrades. Overall I enjoyed this game, but I can't help but feel that it failed to live up to it's glorious potential as did its predecessor

Great game with a good pace. Level up system keeps things interesting. Stealth approach is not as good as the previous entries but this is more like a Boderlands type shooter. Still very fun.

The Wolfenstein games have always had IMO fantastic story telling coupled with frantically fun gameplay. While the gameplay on this title is still solid the characters and story is well to simply put it... meh. The two daughters of Blaskowitz you play as I think are trying to be funny but just come off as awkward bro dudes. At any rate if you play these games for their gameplay you won't be too disappointed but if you enjoy these games more for the story I would steer clear of this one.

I was so excited to get a Wolfenstein game coop. But this game has some issues. The difficulty can ramp up suddenly in areas making it very frustrating. Save locations sometimes are way way back in the levels. I got to a boss in single player, the AI sucked, we both died. Then I had to start the entire Boss level again, with the ammo I had left from the first battle with the boss. Plus you could run pretty much all the way back to the boss if you wanted to. If they can fix some of these issues, it would be a great game.

There's tons to do and can be played even if you don't have a friend to join you. The story is a little lackluster but if you want lots of fights and kills then this is perfect. A fun time!

wolfenstein is a great franchise of run and gun shooters (no cover and shoot monotony like The Division). Youngblood is a continuation of that formula. The plot is driven by BJ's daughters search for their father in occupied france. In a drift away from the wolfenstein formula the quests take a page from the destiny book by using the concept of strikes and re-using areas for different missions (which can get repetitive). Levelling up is fun and the many weapons you get can allow you to vary your play-style on every quest, from stealth to just pure rampage. happy gibbing.

The story not up to par compared to previous. Seems for some enemies, just have to keep shooting, and shooting, and ......you get the idea. Not as many checkpoints so if you run out of lives, have to repeat a lot . Graphics are ok. Weapon upgrades are good. Definitely not worth full price so wait until it is on sale.

The game itself isn't terrible but the main characters can be very annoying. The graphics and gameplay are good but the plot and, again, characters, can be distracting. Got this on a deep discount so I'd recommended it at that point but pass if more than $20.

I like this game personally. I mean, its basically a run around and shoot stuff, so what is not to like. It is a bit confusing at times as to what you are to do next, and the autosaves are too far spread out, but still fun.

I enjoy the co-op aspect. Its fun enough but pails in comparison to the main games. The leveling and bullet sponge enemies is an odd fit for the series.

Good solid game, not quite as good as Wolfenstein II as its design very clearly was intended to be played by two rather than one player. Otherwise very solid, and enjoyable video game. Played on an X-Box One, the base console.

By yourself it's a fairly generic shooter set in the wolfenstein universe. If you have a friend it's a really fun and dumb run and gun coop shooter.

The all girl show is a bit off target for me but I am sure it was to attract others to the franchise. It's ok and grew on me but the AI is not that sophisticated.
