It is a mix between Pokémon and Final Fantasy. Decent story and plenty to do in this game.

World of Final Fantasy is a great entry in the Final Fantasy series. It plays out like a traditional RPG, but the Chibi look makes it stand out. The gameplay is solid, and although I have not completed the game, I can safely say it is worth your time.

World of Final Fantasy builds upon the "world" that the franchise has built on throughout its years. It gives long-time fans, even if they've experienced only one prior game, something to look forward to w/ references to previous stories & personal nuances of beloved characters. For newcomers, there's a pleasing aesthetic to the overall game, w/ voiceovers, a camera effect depth blur, & of course the Lilikin version of characters! Overall, the game feels very polished & very 2016. I suggest playing it / chapter (only takes an hour or less) as the gameplay does seem get repetitive if you're playing it hours on end... which I did during the weekend that I received the game. The limited version does include some digital bonus content, an art book (which is part of the case!), & the option of having Japanese voiceovers.

This is a great game for kids and adults too. If your a hardcore fan of final fantasy you must pick this up. The graphics are great and the storyline is fair, though the gameplay is fantastic. Very cute concept of the franchise.

Great game, just like Ni No Kuni, capture pets and make them become your arsenal. Great characters and connections between the worlds. Grinder no doubt but before you know it you've been playing for 3 hours and ready for more.

while the cartoony graphics take time getting used to, i love the fact that the gameplay it a throwback to the older final fantasy games. i prefer the older gameplay of taking turns instead of the realtime combat.

It is about Final Fantasy, what more can I say. The game play isn't the same as the original games from the 90s but it is very fun to play and may be very fun for those who have never played this franchise before.

This game is a great game for anyone who's played previous games in the series (Nostalgic). For people who haven't played final Fantasy, this game will most likely make you interested in playing older ones.

I loved the idea of a throwback and celebration of all things Final Fantasy. I was afraid of the title at first because I figured it was an MMO by the name but it has a really cute story. Highly recommended.

Very nice voice acting. I feel like playing Pokemon when collecting, raising, and evolving monsters. Simple casual strategic JRPG. You have to play couple times to see all the endings so it gives you some more play time. Worth money.

The battle system ended up being way better than I expected, though a little slow. The art style took some time to get used to, but it's not so bad after a while. Story is pretty standard JRPG stuff. Worth a buy for an old school FF fan.

Absolutely delightful and gorgeous game. Has the right mix of nostalgia and new implemented features to cater to the veterans and novices to the worlds of Final Fantasy and JRPGs. I thought it would be a pokemon-clone, but the mechanic is fun a a unique twist on "monster capture" games. Only things I have qualms about are the plot and the English voiceovers. The story is obnoxiously convoluted, but that's par for the course with Final Fantasy games and this is akin to Kingdom Hearts in that regard. The English voiceovers can get pretty annoying pretty quickly, and I if you are an adult playing the game I would recommend the Japanese Voiceovers with subtitles.

Visually this game is a gem. A lot of familiar Final Fantasy characters and an interesting way of fighting. It gets a bit repetitive after a while, but I think classic FF fans would enjoy that.
