When I started up 2K19 I headed straight to the 8-man tag match and it surprised me so much because it didn't lag! The frame rates didn't drop and the match played out smoothly. This is amazing because in the previous INSTALLMENT, WWE 2K18, the frame rates would drop so much when doing 6-8 man matches. And what about the wacky career mode? It looks like Yukes and 2K just decided to stop being serious and started to have fun with the project to create such a Vince McMahon-esque storyline for the career mode. The voice acting is on point and the created characters are a welcome addition to the series. I had so much fun from traveling from the indies to the main stage of the WWE. The showcase mode is also a blast to play through because we get to play as Daniel Bryan from his try out days to his YES man gimmick to his amazing comeback. Truly a remarkable experience and the cutscenes that come with this mode really makes it so much better. Lastly, I can't state how much I love the customization this year. Wanna make alternative attires for your favorite wrestlers? Now we can randomize the colors of the attires which saves a lot of time. Also the crazy block mine craft looking mode is crazy fun. I haven't tried big head mode yet but that seems like a trip. And the loading times are insanely fast compared to the last game. The universe mode is so more lively this year around. Now I haven't played it too much but from what I've seen there has been improvement. Like the camera work in cutscenes and how creative we can get with this year's universe mode. But of course, with pros there are cons. Like what's up with the generic pose for everyone? It throws me off because it doesn't show their true characteristics. And where's Tomassa Ciampa? And what's up with certain character models? Don't get me wrong they outdid themselves with the scans this year but some people are outdated when it comes to attire or hairstyle (example: Lana). Overall, this has to be one of the best 2K games in recent memory.

The graphics, gameplay and likenesses are on point. However, the commentary is just recycled from previous versions especially with Michael Cole. During a singles match, they start talking about how great the TLC match with the Hardyz & E&C was back at No Mercy 1999. WHAT!!?? Also there are times when the onscreen cutaway scene locks up and you end up hearing what’s going on in the ring but can’t see it (ala John Cena). If they take the time to actually get a head start on things and actually test it (you get paid to play video games) 2k20 has the chance to be a really good addition to the franchise.

WWE 2k19 is much smoother than previous versions. Slight changes to gameplay make a world of difference. Great roster, universe mode also sees some much needed tweaks

The game functionality worked perfectly. The graphics are great and the roster is pretty nice. With announced DLCs to come. The only thing I didn’t like was the new reversal system where you wouldn’t be able to reverse anything for a long period of time. Other than that, the game is pretty good.

This game is way better than the poor broken WWE 2k20 and it’s half the price this game is perfect for anyone wanting to scratch that wrestling game itch and help wait it out and see if WWE 2k21 can redeem the franchise next year

WWE 2K19 is a very good wrestling game, improving drastically on 2K18's formula and adding some new match types (2v2v2 tag matches, 5-player matches, etc), lots of new creation options, more fluid and diverse move animations (especially for reversals), a new game mode in 2K Towers which is actually pretty fun, and majorly improving MyCareer.

I was not going to buy this this year. I hated last year's and it sat on my shelf all year. It was boring and it was just blah not to mention no Showcase stories. This one has a Daniel Bryan showcase at least but so far thats it out of the box. But its been a lot of fun and more realistic. I enjoy the Royal Rumble match. I also like an option to change to a button mash for the submissions over the stupid directional circle which i could just never figure out and frustrated me so much and i would just quick playing (id have the entire body in the red and i still couldn't make them tap). This change alone has made me like this year's version so much better. I still hate the kick out of pins, but i can live with it! Its back to being fun at least. I will always miss the old N64 and Smackdown games that had fun storied and choices to make. Oh well. Worth a buy if on sale!

WWE 2K19, like other WWE 2K games before it, is still held back by a number of longstanding issues. But with the much improved MyCareer mode, and the sheer amount of content available thanks to the return of Showcase Mode and the addition of 2K Towers, it stops the downward spiral the series had been heading towards and puts it back on track. If 2K20 can fix the awful character progression in its main story mode, clean up the bugs, and work on the commentary issues, this might finally be the blueprint for a championship contender again.

Great game full of superstars! Rented the game for a day and had to buy it! This game keeps you thinking as if you're actually in the ring fighting. Very realistic and tough to play. The submission bar is the hardest where you have to rotate the analog stick a certain way which is very frustrating at times. Legendary stars on the game like: Stone Cold, Lita, Goldberg, Sting and so many others make this game worth getting and playing.

This year’s WWE 2K19 isn’t just a roster update. It’s a genuinely good professional wrestling game and has plenty of content to keep fans busy for a little while. It adds to the create-a modes. It captivates with meaningful storylines. And with the introduction of Towers and tying the online with the My Player modes. This year also allows for the Royal Rumber and also Battle Royale even though the more characters in the ring it causes a bit of choppiness.

I'd have to say that this is the best WWE 2K game they have come out with since WWE 2K14. The career storyline is great and has replay value since you can play it with different outcomes. The graphics are solid as usual. The main things preventing me from giving it a 5/5 are the amount of glitches in the game and the laggy online play. If you're big on streaming Universe Mode, I'd suggest looking at the list of glitches before buying.

I have every wwe video game from the very first to wwe2k19. This is the best game yet! Have played many hours already. Creation mode could be more specific but all the other premium level content makes up for it totally ! Definitely a must buy.
