This is the best bluray I have ever purchased. It brings back memories.

Go back to a time when a dominant Goldberg took on the nwo and Hollywood Hogan was running wild all over WCW. These are some great memories from wrestling in the 90's!

This dvd tells the story of some of the great nitro matches. It is a solid entry.

Picked up a copy at the local store, here's a summary of my thoughts, for the full review check out Tribalwrestling website. Does the product live up to the hype of "The Very Best of"? The answer is : Almost but not quite# The filler matches prevent it from being a great release #4-5 stars level## The Good Best of WCW Nitro Volume 2 is better than volume 1# First off, there's no terrible stuff on the "Very Best of" this time around# There seem to be less effort to 'bury' the former rivals of WWE# So that's a good start# Most of the content featured are good and memorable matches that features the main stars of WCW #Hogan, Goldberg, Sting, Macho Man, Nash, DDP# along with a couple of tag teams and cruiserweights# Some of the fun matches to check out are : Sting vs DDP, Goldberg vs Raven, Hulk Hogan vs Randy Savage, Rey Mysterio vs# Juventud Guerrera and Goldberg vs Sting# There are obviously some other good matches on the set to check out# Beside the matches, there is quick recap of key storylines #Wolfpac Forming, Nitro Spring Break, Nitro Parties and NWO Breaking Up# to give viewers an overall feel of WCW# I like this as it give new fans a overview of WCW storylines and production gimmicks# The Host DDP is back and better than ever, he tells a great story about Macho Man Randy Savage during their time in WCW# The Bad What stopped me from loving this product and giving it a full recommendation was the inclusion of certain matches that were not "The Very Best of" # The proof is in the pudding, the content should be of high quality as per the hype of the title# There are stuff that most fans will fast forward and not care to watch again# Matches such as Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper, Randy Savage vs Booker T, Hulk Hogan vs Arn Anderson, Jeff Jarrett vs Booker T or DDP vs Jeff Jarrett are not the "Very Best Of" in terms of match quality or storyline importance# Another prime example would be DDP vs Chris Jericho, which runs for all of 2 minutes of match time#### Personally I'm not in the camp of "unreleased = good" as I only judge the product on it's own merits. There's alot of matches becoming available on DVD for the first time, but not all of it is great. The biggest failure of this DVD is that not all of the matches are 'classic'. Verdict: Recommended Purchase For Fans of WCW This is a good buy if you were a fan of WCW or a new fan wanting to check out the promotion. Most of the content is good but there are some filler content which has no place on ' The Very Best of". I would rate this 3 stars as Amazon does not allow middle score. If you have Blu Ray, definitely consider that version for the 8 bonus matches #1 hour 45 minutes# included. I hope this review will be helpful for other buyers.

It is cool to see WWE put their resources into a product like this. WCW in its time was one of the best cable shows on television. They kept wrestling intriguing, artistic, and fresh. It was when WCW didn't understand change and held onto the same thing for too long is what killed them. WCW will never be forgotten with WWE continuing to bring product like this out for us old WCW fans. One of the best moments in Nitro history was when Sting brought out a Army of imitators during the middle of the WCW vs nWo fued. Buff Bagwell finally found out who the real sting was when he landed a punch which did not drop the "imitation sting". Thank you WWE for bringing back great merchandise from WCW. Keep it up!

It's a great collection of WCW matches from the greatest night in the history of our sport (according to Tony Schiavone -- every time WCW aired. haha) This is a great group of matches and moments from WCW's best days. If you were ever a WCW fan, pick this up and you will not regret the stroll down memory lane! If you never watched WCW before, but heard about it -- this is a great place to start -- after you watch WCW Best of Monday Nitro Vol 1, that is!

I used to trash WCW for all of my life. So, I ran out and bought the first one and second one on both blu ray and DVD and sat through it all and now, I am a WCW fan, and no, it's not just because of the nWo either. Which Hogan turning bad was the best thing that he chose to do. Anyways, the cruiser weights are greatness. Just take a chance if you're a hardcore wrestling fan like I am. Wooooooo!!!

i grew up watching nitro so i was def excited to see this follow up released. this blu ray has so many important nitro moments and the extras on the blu ray are certainly worth it. obviously the picture is standard definition but you know what to expect with these old wwe matches re-released on blu ray.

This is a good release of Monday nitro vol. 2. I enjoyed the first volume and thought that this one would be better. Good thing is the NWO storylines were interesting and good for that era. The bad thing is almost everything was centered around the NWO and it dilluted the product as well. Short and poormatches, NWO interferences are some of the negatives on this video. I loved old school monday nights and this made me relive those days, but once you look back at it, you'll see all the moments of why this company went to the grave. Good blu ray but extras are okay, nothing special.

Diamond Dallas Page (DDP) is a great host, but the extras are so-so.
