Ive installed a few of these. So far these are the tiniest doorcams ive seen and very cute unlike the huge ring doorcams. Easy to setup

I've used and interacted with a number of doorbell cameras since they were introduced. This doorbell is a nice option to have if you want a smaller unit that can normally fit where a doorbell was. My major problem with most video doorbells is that they are huge. You remove a small push button and put a massive device in it's place and it has always looked goofy to me. This wyze doorbell is not nearly as bad. It's much smaller than anything I've seen in the past so it blends in much nicer. The drawback to that size though is it doesn't have a battery so if power goes out so will the camera. Other than that it is nice and small, white so it blends in better with most facades, and is easy to use. Setup is quick and easy, the app works well and is easy to navigate and the video quality on the camera is very good. The night vision worked very well for me. Everything was crisp and clear day or night. My major gripe is they want money monthly to see short recorded clips of what triggered the motion. Every other camera system I've seen includes this for free. This camera might start cheaper but that monthly couple dollars will add up. You do get an image of what triggered the camera and can pull up live feed but not recording video without a monthly subscription will probably be a deal breaker for me. Overall if you're fine with the subscription or don't need the video recordings, just a camera and images this is a great system with good hardware. I'm sure there are plenty of people this will work perfectly for. And if it does the Wyze system has a lot of other nice options for cameras that all work well with the app. I would recommend this doorbell after you do your research and make sure you're ok with it's benefits/downsides.

Grat product at a great price. Considered other options but have Wyze cameras and doorbell and bery easy to set up and work well!

Love it. Crystal clear video with audio. Don't really have to pay for a subscription.

This doorbell, while great overall in cooler months, shuts down/goes offline during the hottest parts of the day in summer. Phoenix, Arizona area. I’m glad that it automatically reconnects and resumes functioning in the evening but I’m getting a different product to replace it, out of necessity.

The picture is wonderful. It is crazy to think you can have something this advanced for under $70.

Works well. Inexpensive. Easy setup and operation.

It connected once, then went offline and wouldn't reconnect again. Contacted Wyze, went through all of their steps, nothing. Removed it from app, tried again. It never again said it was "Ready to Connect." I can't return it as it is beyond the whole 15 dys Best Buy gives you to return it. Waiting to see if Wyze will exchange it. Not happy.

The Wyze video doorbell is a great doorbell for anyone who is looking for a bargain while still having good features. Similar to most of the other Wyze products most of the usefulness and functionality of this camera is locked behind their subscription, but, if all you are looking for is a doorbell camera, this is still a much better bargain than the other big name video doorbells. The Wyze Cam Plus subscription that this requires for some of the added smart features, (object/person detection, no delay on recordings, and event videos), is only $1.99 a month or as low as $1.25 a month (currently) if you have an annual plan, and honestly if this is the only device you need I don't think it's a bad deal for all the added features that you get when using the subscription. Without a subscription this is barely any more useful than your regular "dumb" doorbell, you will get notifications, but they will only be a still image clip of the detected event and can only be triggered once every 5 minutes by default so if you are in a high traffic area or get multiple deliveries in a short time frame you may not even get notifications of those events if they happen too quickly. You can view your live feed and manually record or capture to your device (your phone) and the included chime is required since you have to bypass your houses original chime to power this device. The camera is by default in a very tight vertical orientation, which works fine for me as I have a narrow hallway leading to my door and the wide angle lens makes it so I can see packages left at the door as well as anyone coming up to the door. The chime defaults to a very quiet volume, but both the volume and chime are customizable inside of the app after adding it as a device. I did have an issue when first setting up that the chime was showing as added but when the doorbell was rung it wasn't going off, after deleting and adding it again it worked fine so it could have just been an error on my part when setting it up. The night vision is pretty good and the image quality is great in my opinion and overall it is a great device as long as you are willing to pay for some of the basic functionality that is locked behind the subscription.

Having used other doorbell products including contract versions with alarm companies, and do-it-yourself brands, but this product easily kept up with all the DIY products I have used before. The app is available for iOS or Android and easy to use for any experience level. Setup is easy if you have every replaced a wired doorbell or are comfortable with a screwdriver and 2 wires. PROS - WYZE quality and construction - App and user experience - Easy install and setup - High quality video, day and night - 2-way talk feature via the app CONS - While I have no evidence to be concerned about at this time, I am concern how the product will hold up in high temps/direct sunlight in my area.

Based off the description of this product, I was under the impression it would work wirelessly. There was some installation issues. The unit may work wirelessly with an app but the doorbell unit itself does need to be wired.
