The special effects were great. It seemed strange not seeing all the characters and different people playing them, but we must move on. The next film should start to phase out some of the characters and bring new ones in like Star Trek Next Generation. I would not want to see the series end.

I actually enjoyed this movie much better on the second viewing on 4k. It wraps up the X-Men saga before their transition to Disney. Someday I wish they would make X-Men movies that follow the comics including the Phoenix Saga. The closest we got was in the cartoon version.

Color pop the 4 k really shines. The story follow Jean grey as she evolves into the dark Phoenix. THE X-Men try to stop her from turning evil. THE latest of the x-men series tries to pull together some of the time line but to many rebuts. Fun and actioned packed packed

Good film for the fans of the franchise. Seems a bit rushed but I think Sony was in a hurry to get this story done before the license going to Disney. Would have been better if there had been one more movie leading up to this one to better develop the main characters.

The film often warrants the negative reviews, but it does not stink, either. The acting is solid throughout. We’ve already seen some of this storyline in the 2006 film “X-Men: The Last Stand.” As one might imagine, a superhero movie should be perfect for a 4K UHD viewing experience, even if the end result was only upscaled from a 2K digital intermediate. In this case, it’s a mixed bag as some of the night scenes especially the New York City, 5th Avenue battle between the mutants are too dark for intense detail to pop, and interior scenes suffer from a slightly too yellow coloring that seems out of place. Despite those disappointments, the movie does visually shine in other places within in the movie.

Overall this was a decent movie. It had some twists in it that caught me off guard, but they made sense. Then ending did not seem to fit and I think it was rushed. I feel they could have done more, but I don’t know the budget.... So yeah. 7 out of 10.

As for the movie itself, its ho hum and just ok to watch. A little slow at times but it's just ok and not a must see. As for 4K version, it's really stunning but unfortunately, there's not a lot of scenes to capitalize on the crisp quality.

This concludes FOX run on the franchise with a film, I believe, they intended to make with Bryan Singer directing, the original 3rd of a trilogy. Entertaining. Would've loved another cameo by you know who, but alas... Was not to be.

Overall this was an entertaining new film. The multiple timelines of the X-Men universe is confusing, so you kind of expect what is going to happen but everything is just a little different compared to the older movies with Jean Grey

This one besides the last two flicks this one I enjoyed. The characters were more believable in this one plus the action scenes were on the money. And in 4K the picture is pretty good but not better then apocalypse quality.

I know that many reviews don't appreciate or like the Xmen series but I personally have enjoyed most of them. This is not my favorite of the series, but overall it was pretty good. My kids also enjoyed the movie and series.

If you know the story of the X-men or have seen the various movies you will probably realize how big of a hole this blows in the other story lines. Good movie in and of itself but ruins the continuity of the series.

I don’t understand why this movie didn’t do so well, yes the ending may not be the strongest but this movie definitely isn’t as bad a X3. I would definitely recommend someone to watch this and give it a chance.

X-Men Brand I have been a true fan since my early youth, Been a comic book aficionado since 1968. One of my most favorite X-men is the Beast and also Jean Grey. Glad that they finally did a Phoenix Film, although many will have difficulty with her origin, if not a true Marvel Fan. Will be watching the movie this evening. Marvel Rocks. In the words of the immortal Stan Lee Excelsior...

Jean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix. Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world.

The movie was good. Action was great, but it goes away from the story line of the other movies. So if you just want action and can ignore the continuity flaws. Enjoy it. And of course I love the 4K quality.

Great audio and visual, I only noticed very minor artifacts on a couple of specific scenes and areas, but overall pleasing to the eyes and ears. Plot is ok, about on par with most of the X-Men movies.

This film is not as bad as some of the critics are saying. It has some great action set pieces and really good cgi. I may have flopped at the box office but this is a good entry in the X-Men universe.

In the end I liked this movie. It was slow in the beginning and the story kind of dragged on in parts. I thought the picture had some grain in it but overall a good visual. Worth a watch for sure.

Was a great movie part of the franchise that focuses on Jean Gray's special powers and how they are stronger than anyone could imagine. I would recommend adding this to your movie collection.
