Great superhero movie with some awesome classic characters

It's the first X-Men movie. While it's one of the first to start the whole 'cinematic universe' it still holds up with some of the newer movies. This is also the first appearance of Hugh Jackman as Logan, aka Wolverine. The Blu Ray quality is definitely noticeable here compared to a DVD, considering this movie is from 2000. The Steelbook is pretty awesome. My only gripe with this movie is that it has a regular Blu Ray disc from the standard Blu Ray packaging, it says Disc 1 instead of having a dedicated disc art.

This is a great starting point for the xmen in movie form. Saw this when it first premier back in theaters on opening night, loved it then and love it now. I wasn't too fond of a few thing they changed from comic to movie but didn't interfere with me enjoying the movie. Over the course of all the xmen movies I feel Xavier and Cyclops should have been more of the leaders of the movies and not so much focus on Logan, even though Logan is my all time favorite xmen. I love the This Movie and it's sequel X2, Xmen last stand.............. I liked but hate some of the decisions and direction they took. Hopefully days of future past changes the timeline and makes Xmen Last Stand disappear. Lol

These X Men steel books look great. The front, back and inside artwork are nice. I wish the digital copies could be redeemed for iTunes but thats not Best Buy's fault. The discs are the same ones from the normal blu ray releases so this really is just about the packaging. The steelbook has a nice mate finish. And these steelbooks are pretty cheap so overall I would definitely recommend if you're an x Men fan or a steelbook collector.

"X-Men" is one of the greatest comic book movie adaptations out there. In my opinion it made people think that comic book movies can be taken more seriously. Some may disagree and say the 1989 "Batman" movie had started that, but I believe that "Batman" just showed that comic book movies can be dark. So Again "X-Men" is one of the best comic book movies, so if you're a fan of comics especially the X-Men comics you'll love this movie.

This is a great looking steelbook that showcases what is far and away the best version of Mystique in the X-Men movies. I haven't been a fan of Jennifer Lawrence's portrayal since the beginning, I think it's her worst trio of performances and they aren't doing the character justice at all. I keep watching them to see if they fix their mistake, but I think Lawrence has become too big of an actress for them to do the character right now. The first Mystique is great and Rebecca Romijn plays her surprisingly well.

Great movie for the whole family in my opinion. It's the movie that started the franchise so it's a must if you want to collect them all like I did. This was actually the last one in my collection because they show it on tv so much I didn't see the point (dvr) but I am weird like that. Has all the characters you think of when you hear x-men, plot was ok I think they should have stretched out the franchise to be honest (at least the first 3) enough with the wolverine you know. He is awesome don't get me wrong. But great action, good use of cgi and great casting in my opinion.

I like the new X-Men steelbooks, but they should've kept the 2nd disc from the original 2009 blu-ray set. Also, that looks like Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique on the front, which is wrong for a lot of reasons. One, J-Law isn't in this movie. Two, she plays a minor role compared to the prequels. Maybe go with Xavier or poor Cyclops, who got no love during this run of X-films.

Way before the modern Marvel Cinematic Universe, This is the film that started it all and gave Marvel the first taste of movie success. Worth owning and seeing if only for its significance in history for kicking off the modern comic book movie craze and giving geek culture it's first moment in the sun. Also...Great starring performance by a adorably young Hugh Jackman in what would become his signature role.

This is the first X-Men movie that came out in 2000 and I really loved it. I watched it opening day in theatres and then received the DVD for Christmas and kept it until it came out on Blu Ray I wanted to own the BLU RAY and the sound and picture is extraordinary so its well improved. I still think this is the best X-Men movie in the franchise.

Of the six films I think this is one of the best. It's a very good origin story and was the very first major Marvel comic book movie. It still holds up pretty well considering it's nearly two decades old. I think the casting was a key to the success. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine was perfect along with Patrick Stewart as Professor X.

The first film in the X-men franchise that 16 years later is still going strong. The films great cast including Patrick stewart, Ian McClellan, Halle Berry, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn, and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The Metalpak has fine artwork with the aforementioned cast on both the front and back as their mutant characters.

I saw X-Men when it first came out in theaters. For recent years I've been trying to look for on DVD or Blu-ray. I have x2 and the last stand. Now I have finally have the first one. The first X-Men movie.

I am still pleased with this release & still enjoy watching it. Hard to believe that this film was released before the 1st Rami Spider-man and is very close to the Genesis of the new "Golden Age" of comic book movies. Video Quality = very good Audio Quality = practically perfect Extras = loaded - plenty of enjoyable content This release is with all the others in my collection with all the other in the X-men franchise

Surprisingly, I found that my only copy of the original X-Men movie was on VHS! As I had all of the other X-Men movies on either DVD or Blu-Ray, I decided to upgrade this one. It was fun to watch it again. Hugh Jackman was so much smaller back then. And Sabretooth, played by a different actor, i.e. wrestler, was so much bigger!

I can't believe that this film is 17 years old, is still a good one with how comic book movies have developed over the years. Featuring the First Film with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The steelbook is good for any collector who likes to have a "set" of the same style. Mystique is on the cover of this grunge paint style, with the single bluray disc inside.

Wolverine started his role in 1999 and this steelbook was released in the year 2000. Or at least the film was. The steelbook has been rather hard to find so I highly recommend Best Buy for shoppers who want to add steel to their collections. X-Men has come so far! Buy one of these and you'll see for yourself!

In my opinion, the original X-Men trilogy is way better than the newer First Class set of movies. The effects have aged, but if you can get passed that, the movies themselves are enjoyable. The portrait steel books for this series seemed a little lazy to me, but they are okay.

I re-watched this recently, and I was pleased by how well it stands up over time. It doesn't feel the same as today's super hero movie, like The Avengers or Days of Future Past, but it didn't need it. It's thoughtful and takes it time, but the special effects are all still there. This movie set the stage for all the ones that followed.
