Dragon Age: Inquisition Review

As the next game in the Dragon Age Series, Inquisition really comes through with a quality game. While having played the previous DA games helps, it is not necessary to fully enjoy and immerse yourself in the story and world.
You select your character (lots of customization options and a class for every play style) and the story takes off quite fast. The game really should be experienced for the story, so I'll leave that off to be experienced. You are able to select three party members to accompany you on each quest (or just simply roam around for side quests) which allows for some very creative team combinations.
The game can easily last you 100 hours if you take your time, explore all the areas and complete all the side quests available. The War Table seems kind of boring at first, but it opens up a lot of new missions, areas, and items. You can plow through the story, but that really is not recommended, as you will miss out on a lot of lore.
I have not played the multiplayer element of the game, so I cannot comment on that.
Great game, and very highly recommended to fans of Bioware's other games.

Was really excited for this game after seeing previews and news on it, and it doesn't disappoint. was kinda worried after having played the first two games and being letdown by them, first was too drawn out and confusing with lacking visuals, the second was better, but again too much talking about things i had no clue what was going on and didnt seem to move along.
but with Inquisition they really nailed down a great balance of story and action, environments are more open and awesome to look at and pretty varried in locals.
fighting can get stale but overal its still fun once you get more moves... i played on normal.. which doesnt present too much difficulty can pretty much breeze through with proper leveling.
and the weapon/ armor customization and building... while somewhat limited is fun and interesting, and finding the materials is not as tedious as most games end up being for this type of game.
im still not even finished with the game have put almost 100 hours in, just finishing most of the side missions... now going closer to finishing the story...
GREAT GAME 9/10

Unlike many gamers who get the game and try to "beat it" in the first few hours, I like to just wander about and see the world that has been created. If that is your thing, you will love this. It is breathtaking. As I play, I will update on the actual adventures, but this game already has me comparing it to Skyrim and it wins handily. After the disappointment of "DA2" I think they are back on track with this franchise.
Considering the prices these days, you want something that will give you weeks of enjoyment, not hours. This fits the bill handily. To put it in perspective, I was a D & D geek in the 70s. This was little more than a dream way back then. Since I am not an MMORPG player (I just can't relate to the foul-mouthed and often rude youngsters), I need games I can play alone that will be engaging. This one promises to take up a lot of my spare time...as well as some of my not-so-spare time.

I don't think I've even got halfway through the game and it's a lot of fun.
Story: Fits well within the existing DA Universe. It is also engaging though vague in the beginning. I didn't care for all of the small stories between the characters though, some of them yes, but not all.
Game Play: Very well thought-out controls easy to get the hang of. Action game and tactical RPG combat elements mix well, though in some situations it's not easy standing in the right spot to interact with the environment.
Music/Sounds/Voice: Very well done over all. They build went you need to feel urgency and are enjoyable/peaceful when you see a pretty landscape.
Graphics: So much prettier then DA:O that was such an ugly looking game.
Over all I'd say this game is a must buy in you're not just into FPS and enjoy a solid and LONG single player game.
P.S. I haven't touched the multiplayer stuff.

When you play this game, you can definitely see how much love and care was put in this. Bioware has been known for their RPGs. The latest franchises have been Dragon Age and Mass Effect. This has been my first Dragon Age game and I have to say that it is amazing.
It would be impossible on last gen consoles. There is so much detail in this game. I have played already 40 hours and feel I haven't done much in the world, which is HUGE! There are so many locations you can visit from the start. The only limitation you have in the different areas is not being strong enough to defeat some enemies. There are no limitations as to how to tackle a mission or where you want to explore.
This game will keep you busy and the story is very good.

Epic story line. Single player campaign has countless hours of game play. If you have played any of the previous Dragon Age titles you will notice there are plenty of monsters, familiar characters and lore from previous adventures. But Dragon Age is still a great stand alone game for gamers new to the series. It is a perfect for anyone who enjoys a good story with plenty of baddie bashing in between cut scenes. The pacing is good and the battles range from random encounters in the open terrain, mobs of baddies, and teeth grinding dragon fights. You also have the option to play multiplayer where you team up with 3 other people and dungeon crawl to upgrade your champion(s) skills and collect new weapons and gear.

This game was one that caught my eye but I never picked it up when it came out. Big mistake. It is one of the best games I have ever played. Not just this year, ever! The world is huge and the amount of content to explore and take part in is mind blowing. My favorite part of this game is the multiplayer. I didn't even realize it had it when I bought it. It's limited compared to the single player but it has its own crafting and skill tree for each multi character. It's kind of grindy but is really fun with a good group of friends or even solo runs!

For a role playing game this has it all. From the elaborate character creation to the vivd and detailed story line. This game offers so much in terms of fun and replayability. I would reccomend this to anyone interested in role playing games. The item creation and crafting features are tricky at first but there are plenty of resources online to help. it just takes some patience to figure it out.
Overall awesome game and a long game. I am the type to try and complete all side quests and grow my character as strong as possible, and even after i finished the main story line i dont think i finished everything there is to do. I put about 100 hours into it.

Got this game the day I bought my Xbox 1 and have yet to play anything else. I had preordered The Witcher 3 but can't stop playing this long enough to test it out. (The Witcher is the reason I bought a new system to start with). I guess that's a lie I play 30 minutes of The Witcher 3 but went right back to Dragon Age because "I had to get another dragon killed" If you have enjoyed any of the previous DA games you need this one for sure. I have played them all and this one is by far my favorite.

Great Game for RPG Players

This game is an open world RPG. This is the first Dragon Age that i have played and so far to my knowledge, the story has not referenced any of the older games enough to where the player is not able to follow. The story is long but somehow keeps you intrigued. If the story ever starts to become stale you can always do side quests that can take you a whole other direction in the world and story. Overall great game, but a game that you need to put time into for anything to be worthwhile.

Pros: easily 100 hours of content, ample side quests and large zones. Fun if not repetitive combat system with a couple of really neat twists. Good class development with a wide variety of abilities to choose from.
Cons: bugs. Sometimes muddy story. Really buggy. Visual bugs are the most prominent but I experienced a few in 2 full play throughs that required reloading a previous save file.
If you want a Bioware-style RPG, look no further. Or at least something to rival skyrim in terms of time killing ability.

Though initially lacking in storyline, Inquisition sucked me in with the ever-changing personal story, expansive world, and endless possibilities. Side quests actually accomplish something with the new power system making every action I do meaningful. Combat is awesome as my mage teleports around enemies whilst throwing balls of fire into the faces of my opposition.

An open world game with lot of content, it may take a while before you finish it, but DA goes back to what it is good at. I like DA 2 though lot of people didnt; and so my review is slightly baised.
Unless you dont like games that go on forever, there is no way you are *not* going to love this game. Of course, it is an RPG so I am assuming you do like RPGs. :)

Story and gameplay wise, Inquisition is great addition to the Dragon Age saga. However, the Xbox One limits the graphics capabilities of this game. To see this in full glory you must use a PC, however, it is still very enjoyable on the Xbox One. Overall, a great game. Must play if you liked Dragon Age, Origins, and DA2.

Im 130hrs into the game and im still trying to make it last as long as possible, doing all side quests first before I work the story.
to me this game is similar to the elder scrolls game however not as big or as detailed or labor intensive. I enjoy this game because its a happy medium. good graphics good story good game play

One of the best RPG style fantasy games. Like Skyrim but without the bugs. I have played this game twice with two different classes and races and enjoyed it both times. The world design is amazing and filled with beautiful scenery as well as creatures to level up on. Fighting dragons is exciting when you are strong enough.

The graphics, sounds and story are phenomenal. Great mix and im loving the characters. Im very glad i got this title. However, given that im not one to spend a great deal of time on RPGs (Think FF) it will take me very long to complete this one. Im more inclined for AC titles and such. Nevertheless great buy.

I was of 2 minds before I jumped in to buy the game, but it didnt disappoint me. After a few hours into the game, I thought I figured out the strategy but nope, I was wrong and it kept me surprising with new twists and story. The kind of sort of open world (semi open world I would say) along with a great story and combat system will entertain you, go for it.
