So, My dad and I ventured over to our local best buy and bought this console (My dad and I though it was the 4gb slim... xD) Over all I was quit surprised and had my doubts when i found out. But it works very well everything was fine, nothing broken and it played Halo Reach fine, so overall if your not looking to spend alot of money it was a good buy.

Its a great gaming station, I got it on my birthday In June and and a day latter I plugged it into the internet and it was advertising the new x box. it work's great and the memory was good, I have also have a PS3 and I would rather want an x box because, you can't have any party chat like x box can, If you have a HDMI cable it increases the look's by a lot. also Ps3 can have a lot of hackers because of their internet system, x box would take a lot of time to hack. this is the best gaming system ever.

Runs Loud But Works Like New

This unit runs louder than my old Elite unit, but my guess is that is probably because they fixed the cooling system. New fan? Anyway, the unit arrived in 3 days... amazing. Looks like brand new. I know for a fact that the controllers were NEW as there is not a single scuff mark or scratch on them. Warranty is kind of short (90 days) but we have been playing the unit solid for a week with no problems. Last unit I had got RRD on it (new from BBY) so hopefully they have that corrected on these refurb units. Anyway, the one that we got is 100% quality and I would highly recommend going this route, because I assume that someone at Microsoft actually touched this before they shipped it. It came with the most current updates, so I know it was just handled recently.
I will come back and add some photos later of the unit and accessories. Unit had a few buff marks on it, but accessories seem brand new.

NOT SO GREAT.....

My stepbrother got the Halo 3 edition Xbox 360 for his birthday. That Xbox was a disgrace to even be a console. It was noisy, it constantly had the red ring, it ruined 3 of our game discs and would constantly freeze. Then we replaced it for an Xbox 360 elite. We thought it would be a lot better, but is was not! It doesn't have the red ring but is still very noisy and it ruined 2 more of out game discs. It won't even play Halo Reach! I do hope the new Xbox 360 slim is better, cause this was a horrible experience.

Couldn't tell the difference from a new xbox 360 works great and its much quieter than the xbox 360 pro and arcade. Comes equipped for online gaming with 120gb hardrive and black wireless controller which is much more comfortable and slimmer than the bulky white controllers. Also includes a sleek looking black wireless headset that seems to be more hardy and better made than the old headsets. Powerbox also seems to be improved and not as big as before.
--------OVERALL----------
A GREAT PRICE ON AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT
DEFINITELY A MUST BUY :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Great but .. with some noise!

I love this thing! 120gb harddrive, works fine with my 42inch flatscreen HD TV. The name "Elite" really fits it.. I think it froze twice for the year and 1/4th that I had it for. The only real thing that didn't make it perfect is the noise. (warning exaggeration) It's about as loud as a b52 bomber flying a little above your head.. it's a lil noisy. Buy it..

This refurbished model was just like new. I paid the same price as the 4Gb console currently on the market. It was well worth it!
The only problem I have is that it included the lower quality audio/video composite cable (RCA jacks) instead of the higher quality Component (RGB jacks) cable with optical audio output.
It did include an HDMI cable but because my TV has no speakers I had no way of getting audio without reverting to the low quality composite (RCA jacks) cable. In turn, I have to settle for lower quality video.
The only workaround is to buy the Component (RGB jacks) cable with optical audio output or a TV with HDMI input and audio output.
Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase.

Problem in the beginning

It appears as if Nukousa (the refurbishing company) does not have good quality control. They sent the wrong power pack cord that did not match the Xbox 360. Customer service was even worse as there was no reply to my phone calls or email fro two days!!!
Luckily, when I contacted Best Buy directly, they took care of the problem, including free return of the wrong product. I would NOT purchase anything through Nukousa in the future.
The Xbox is working fine although it is really a lot noisier than that other Xbox I already have.

Will always buy Best Buy refurbished over Used

A year ago, my son saved his money to buy an older model xbox from a pawn shop because that is what he could afford. Although, it served its purpose with some minor limitations, it red screened too soon. We decided to buy a new one so that he'd get the 'life for the money'. When we saw a refurished product on Best Buy, we knew we'd get a sound product and 'more for the money' because we had already bought a refurbished lap top earlier this year. We only spent a few dollars more for a far superior XBox than we got from a pawn shop! We continue to be pleased with the quality of refurbished products and service from Best Buy.

Purchasing Issues @ first, turned 2 a good console

I purchased the console for my son a few days before Christmas, seeing he is into video gaming. On christmas day, he opened up the console and set it up. However in his room he doesn't have an HD TV and this specific product only came with an HDMI cable, without a splitter. So the console's video wasn't compatible with my son's TV in his bedroom.
Two days later, we took a trip up to Best Buy and I argued my way into them 'almost' giving us a free set of a splitter cable so that the console's video would ultimately be compatible with his TV. However, they did not lean into giving us it for free and I had to pay around $35-$50 for a splitter cord, 2 days after Christmas.
This whole purchase was a heck of a time for my son and I'm sure he was upset, because he couldn't play the xbox on X-mas morning.
After this all happened though, and his tv was compatible with the regular cables, he very much liked the console. The 120gb is very good for his intense gaming and he doesn't regret selling his PS3 for this.
Good product overall, but make sure unless you or your child has an HD TV or you don't mind spending a good wad of $$$ on a regular cord/hd splitter, before purchasing this product.

Good Deal

This product is a good fit for most people. If you plan on connecting the Xbox to a wireless network, however, I would suggest buying the 250 GB slim model, as it costs the same as this model (with the inclusion of a wireless adapter). It was in great condition when I got it. The only problem I have is that, since it is an older (refurbished) model, it has extremely loud fans. I don't notice the noise while playing, but on menus and at other quiet points in using the console, it is very noticeable.

Waste of money

My parents bought my husband and I this for Christmas 2011. We had another Xbox that was about 3 years old and it stopped reading the discs so we wanted a new one. After using it for 3 months (we use it a lot but not 12 hours a day or anything) it would be inconsistent in loading our hard drive. We would constantly need to update it just to get it to work. Now after 4 MONTHS it is giving me the red ring of death and I can no longer use it. I can't do anything about it because the warranty they give you is only for 90 DAYS. What a waste of money.

Second Unit's a Charm

Made an online $199 purchase for the refurbed XBox for a Christmas present. My son was heartbroken when the 'red ring of death" was displayed after turning the unit on for the first time. We returned it to the store for a credit (no refurbed units were available so I complained and got them to credit me shipping costs for a second online purchase). The store clerk unsuccessfully tried to sell me a new $399 model. We went home and purchased another refurb from the BB website. It's perfect. A liitle patience paid off.

The XBOX 360 itself works just fine. The problems I encountered were with the accessories: namely, the power cable and included wireless controller. The AC to DC adapter for the power cable didn't function at all, so I had to get a new one, the only other option being to return the entire unit. The included wireless controller usually works fine, but will sometimes disconnect itself. I do not know why. I purchased a new wired controller to avoid this problem.

The refurbished xbox exeeded my expectations. Many of the reviews discouraged me because they had claimed frequent breakdowns and many troubles, however I had absolutely no problems with the product.. beware the xbox has a very loud fan when warming up and at times during gaming, but if you turn up the volume on the tv, it dissapears. Also I was glad that it came with such a large hard drive capacity for the same price as a xbox arcade with only 20GB... Also it comes with 2 tv adapter cords, whether you need and HDMI cable or a Red, White, Yellow cable. Over all I am glad I bought the product.
