Lots of punch for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad lower end video card. Runs DOOM 2016 well. Started playing Mad Max on full settings. Again, pretty impressive. The card does seem to run rather hot. It's crashed a few times. Opening up the PC and a big room fan directly on the card helps keep it not so hot. But for the money I really can't complain.

Pretty good card for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace an older AMD video card. Installed in minutes and after getting the drivers from the Amd website - the included cd drivers didn't want to load - ran like a charm. Very quiet and runs cool.

Pretty great lil card
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I hadn't bought a new video card for a really long time but I keep up to date on the latest tech and cards. I was waiting for a $200 RX 480 but every seller and vendor has marked them up a ton and there’s been no availability so I just decided to grab the 460. I would consider myself a casual gamer and most of my gaming is on Xbone/PS4. My PC is (2700k i7, 16 GB ram, SSD etc...) but I never dropped a graphics card in it so this is the first; the 460 has relieved the CPU of its GPU duties so the system seems a little less laggy. I haven't had the 460 long but FarCry 4 at 45-55 avg fps on high setting at 1080 was more than I expected out of the 460 actually. I'm on a 30" monitor and it doesn't look like I can set FarCry to the native screen resolution so it's stuck at 1080 but I'll keep working on that. It looks better than the PS4/XBOX for sure. The 460 was my choice because it is 14nm, DX12 ready with ACE units, DP 1.4 is great, it runs cool, (no extensive testing but when I've looked, it's topped out at 40c) and AMD is finally getting aggressive which is awesome for consumers. The card is silent, but a little big for how tiny the silicon is. It requires a 6 pin connector but it doesn't really mention that in the description. It does come with a 4x2 pin to 6 pin adapter though. All in all I’m very happy with the card and maybe I'll look at navi/next nvidia when hbm2 is available. If you're a casual gamer, or into esports I guess, the 460 is a great choice. Brand new tech, silky smooth from my experience and $149 isn't much. Plus, AMD is really focused right now and two vendor options are way better than one.

Low cost and very effective
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to upgrade my sons friends PC, he was running a 6870, so it's getting a bit long in the tooth. The rx460 allows him to run Doom at 1080 maxed (with Vulkan) and he gets between 55-65fps consistently. Pros, Low power usage, and temps, with really good performance for the price. Temps, the card runs so cool during normal desktop operation the fan doesn't even kick on. Cons, The plastic on the cooler feels pretty cheap. However it's not like your going to be playing catch with the card. I was just a bit surprised because all of my other XFX cards scream quality (I'm personally running 2 xfx 290x DDs). Overclockability, maybe it was just my card but I could go up maybe 100mhz before it was unstable, which made it not worth overclocking.. however if you feel the need to really overclock the rx470 is probably a better option. Overall this card is excellent for the value. You could throw this into pretty much any office machine and suddenly you're able to play all the latest games.

Buyer beware
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is okay for the money if you can get it to run. Be prepared for some driver headaches. I've been building PCs for at least 15 years and this is the first video card that gave me some real headaches. Seems to run fine on some applications/games/benchmarks but the drivers will cause crashes in games. I ran through multiple drivers and settings before settling on 16.9.2 drivers from AMDs site which were the best for Win10 x64, but still lingering issues. Card will have to go back. There's also a known glitch with older PCIe 2.0 and 3.0 slots so it's basically luck of the draw whether or not it will work with you motherboard. Cannot recommend which is too bad because AMD Radeon has been my preferred brand for many years.

Amazing performance, terrible drivers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The card can deliver the performance of a GTX 970 at half the cost, anazing wattman control for custom clocking noise and temp controls. 2 issues (drivers are still in beta, and used to crash the graphics when running multi threaded rendering. Graphocs drivers are not compatible with Linux, although AMD promises so, but my OS completely dropped dead and cant boot. (Will take extensive repairs to fix that one) Please use for Windows machines only.

For the price, a great card
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for a friend whose video card had unexpectedly failed (probably overheated due to a fan failure). This new card drives his main games (Overwatch, Fallout 4, and a few others) perfectly and at 60+ fps, and he appreciates how quiet and cool it runs. I don't think this would be a great card for someone who wants to future proof (for a year or two) their PC or for someone getting into VR, but if you're looking for a budget card that will excel at the games of 2016, then this is a great choice.

You get what you pay for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Radeon RX 460 is a great card for the price point. At 100-150$ there is no other card that can compete with it. You get a low tdp with excellent amd drivers. The newest driver update increased the cards performance by at least 5% alone. If you don't have the money to step up to a rx 470 or 480 and you only play games like TF2, League, DOTA, WoW, etc. than this card will be more than enough horses.

Good, Thrifty Choice for my Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Runs my Lord of the Rings Online MMO very well on Directx9 (ie better than on 10 and 11, as I have an older mobo). It does not run game plus videos in browser (at same time) as well as a higher priced equivalent, but really I hardly ever see a blip even when I run those together. For a budget, really good card for graphics-intensive game, just be sure to check if you need to dial back on directx. If you want ultra high graphics and perfection, go up to a higher priced card.

Great card great price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Surprised it ran Doom on a 1080p monitor at 50-60 frames per second in ultra settings with the Vulcan API. For the price it is a great offering from XFX with 4gb of GDDR5 memory for higher resolution gaming. Would buy again , may buy a second for crossfire as they meet the minimum for VR gaming.

Worst Manufacturer Service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that on paper, this card is good bang for the buck. However, after purchasing this card at the end of November last year, it has lasted all of maybe 6 months. This card has seen little usage, as it sits in a hand-built rig that my son uses to occasionally play Minecraft, Roblox, and World of Warcraft on. (Not what I would call graphics intensive.) Suddenly one day it wouldn't post: wouldn't power on at all. Fans won't spin..no signal sent. I troubleshot it down to everything short of taking it apart and checking the circuitry. This is not even the part that concerns me the most. The part that concerns me the most is that after contacting their warranty department, getting responses from them was few and far between, and the responses were patronizing and rude. The company makes the consumer pay the return shipping of the product with tracking(about $10 shipping in the US), and there is no reimbursement if the equipment is indeed faulty parts and not user error. The people I talked to were rude and short with me on the phone, stating such phrases as "look lady" and telling me that if he sent me a prepaid shipping label that I was going to get him written up, and that my intent was to get him fired. I was very polite with him, as I have experience with Customer Service jobs myself. Nothing effective was ever accomplished quickly by being rude to people just doing a job. (Side note: Best Buy CS is VERY helpful, and are a pleasure to speak with on the phone.) The company's policy also states that if they send you back another GPU, it can be of what they consider comparable value. Meaning you could have bought a 4G onboard 256 interface, etc. card..and they can send you back a 2G, 128 bit piece of garbage that they claim is as good if not better, according to THIER testing. It can even be AMD or Nvidia...they DO NOT CARE. And what they send back to you is something that has been licked and sticked and sent on it's way with laughable QA, because what they send you back is not a new replacement, it is a refurbished thing. Buyer BEWARE. If I could give them no stars I would. This manufacturer has several complaints against them, and I wish I had done my due diligence.

Great budget pc gpu
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great entry level gpu i would recommend this over the rx 550. untill the 550's price drops. Plays. Most games on 1080p medium settings and some on high.Depending on your RAM and CPU you could run on high and ultra settings if your build allows it to.
